We had a massive tree come down during the storm of November 29th at 4:30 am. It fell into the pool. Howard Hansen arranged for a crane about 10 stories high to lift the tree as well as a huge root ball out of the pool and over a fence, since there was no other access. We were in awe. This was accomplished in about two hours and all the debris was cleaned up. Howard was on the job site the entire time . His company was very processional, neat, and efficient.. Very pleasant to work with! We definitely will use again if the need arises.

Excellent work crew (4) two days on site … pruning well done … work order thorough… but about twice the amount that I would expect based on service by other providers

Removed substantial branches from a ficus tree extending over neighbors roof, branches were approx 30+ feet above ground due to the elevation change between our properties. Pruned an additional ficus and canopy on a palo brea. Very flexible in touching up specific areas to complete job. Chip and haul beats stacking the pile for bulk trash pickup. Great crew!

Amazing to have a contractor I can trust. The monsoon broke a limb one day, and Heartwood was there that day to diagnose the tree and returned the next day to remove the tree for me. For such a high risk industry, I must have confidence they will do an amazing job safetly. They showed up when they said they would and they were done when they said they would be. Oh, the tree was 30' tall, dead as a doornail and surrounded by structures. Heartwood all the way.

Relief! What a great crew. I have 7 super tall palms and was always nervous when other trimmers were climbing. This team was uber safe, friendly, and did the best clean-up we’ve ever had. Awesome!

This is the 4th year of Heartwood Tree Care trimming my prized Palo Verde. The tree is the centerpiece of our backyard, so it is important that it remains not only good looking but healthy and ready to take-on the monsoons this next summer. Just like last year I’m delighted with their work today on my tree. This year I’m especially aware of the value of them coming to trim the tree every year. Jesus, who with his crew (#2) has done the tree for the past couple of years. He told me that it’s especially enjoyable for him to work on the same tree(s) year after year since he remembers each tree and can see the result of last year’s trimming and plan for the future. Over the course of 3 years the same of the tree has improved considerably in terms of shape, its relationship with an adjacent saguaro cactus, and general health. I’ve included a before and after picture of the tree work done today and you can see that the peripheral growth has been trimmed back and the interior growth has been thinned out, beautiful. It’s all ready for the hot summer and monsoon winds. Next year Jesus and his crew will be back to work his magic.

The crew was very prompt & came over in the afternoon after we lost our mesquite in the Tempe microburst. We have already recommended Heartwood to a friend who needed someone to trim a tree. Thank you .

Very knowledgeable owner. Has all my overgrown citrus trees pruned. The yard was effectively cleaned after. Have now had fertilizer treatments and I'm looking forward to a very fruitful season

We had a large ash tree in the corner of our backyard that was healthy and happy, but unfortunately had been planted too close to the neighboring properties, so large roots were getting close to a pool. I discussed our options at length with Randy, who was very helpful in walking through the advantages and disadvantages of options. The work (removal) was done well, with excellent cleanup and followup.

The crew arrived on time and worked efficiently to remove 3 trees and trim another that was damaged in a recent windstorm. The were friendly, introduced themselves and made sure they understood what we wanted. They protected some existing landscape lighting with traffic cones and went out of their way to avoid cutting drip irrigation lines nearby. When they were grinding the stump and surface roots of the dead mesquite tree, they held up large plywood sheets to stop any stray rocks that might get kicked out during the grinding process. They cleaned up after the work was done. I have already booked them to come on Friday to do some additional work on our 4 paloverde trees. Highly recommend Heartwood Tree Care.

A great experience - from the arborist who came out to inspect my trees, to the crew who trimmed my mesquite. The crew was polite, professional, and didn't add anything to the quoted price after work was completed. Nice clean up too. My overgrown mesquite looks so much better! I'm looking forward to doing my other 4 trees soon.

Have used Heartwood for tree trimming in the past. Had them out to remove 3 sissoo trees. The removal went smoothly using cables and ropes with the team climbing the 60 foot trees and precisely cutting them down. Clean up after was great. Can't say enough positive things about them.

Heartwood trimmed our olive trees and other trees at our home. Their communication was great and their work was excellent. Howard is not satisfied with the job until the customer is delighted with the work. We will definitely use them in the future and have recommended them to our neighbors.

Recently, a storm knocked down our 20+ year-old Sissoo tree, leaving us with quite a mess to clean up. I contacted Heartwood Tree Care for help with the stump removal, and their response was incredibly swift! They took the time to educate me on the best options for removing the stump. It was important to us that our big and beautiful desert trees be trimmed and thinned in advance of the big monsoon winds. Heartwood’s crews were prompt, courteous and expert. They listened to me, then kept us updated throughout. They were tidy and efficient, at a very competitive price. We’ll reach out to them again next year.

The oak tree was very overgrown. They did a good job cutting it and cleaning up. It seems to be tolerating how much was cut off. I have been told that it looks good. Before and after photos

I had two very large dead pine trees adjacent to my home removed by Heartwood. These people were incredible. Their price was very competitive, the workers were professional, extremely safe, equipment was top notch. Dangerous job they handled in a professional manner and when they left everything was cleaned up. When a guy comes to your door saying he’s a tree trimmer working down the street, slam the door and call Heartwood.

Heartwood is an incredible company to work with. From the initial discussion of the work to be done, to the completion of that work, they are extremely caring and competent. My trees retain their shape between prunings since Heartwood has done them for several years now. Heartwood does not stub your trees or over prune. They understand how to integrate the tree shaping with the home architecture. I really cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had five new trees planted with Heartwood Tree. When Howard came to give us the estimate, he took time to make great suggestions on placement and trees that would be good additions to our yard.

We had an existing tree that wasn't thriving that we thought should be removed and replaced. Instead, Heartwood made planting and root improvements to save the tree, and us money.

Heartwood took care to select the best trees available and carefully planted them to help ensure successful growth. Another crew came to prune and shape a citrus tree that had storm damage. It really helped revive that tree.

The crews had really good knowledge of trees and took care of our property. It's a friendly company that is a pleasure to work with.

We have a big, mature mesquite tree that was over-pruned by previous owners. Randy from Heartwood came up with a plan for bringing the tree back to a natural shape. The crew did a beautiful job - amazingly quickly. They cleaned up and hauled away all the branches. Not "cheap" but a good value.
