Had our driveway paved yesterday 10/9.
Great job. Looks really good. Very nice guys. No mess left behind, good clean up. If you need any paving... these are your guys!

Learned about Aspen Construction through an employee Joe I met while visiting a park near lake arrowhead. Recently had retaining walls and asphalt driveway installed and repaired. All work was completed as per agreement. the staff was professional and concerned, easy to talk with , explaining and dealing with some small irregularities as they occurred. I’m very satisfied with their work and will have them continue improvements to my property.
Joe an employee is an asset to the company!
James Nailor running Springs... I will recommend and refer them...

I met the owner of Aspen Construction over 3 years ago when I asked for a quote on paving the parking area in front of our 1st cabin on Lake Drive in Lake Arrowhead. Stacey Pattison, the owner, was very professional and gave us a good quote. We had the job done a few weeks later and it was done very nicely and professionally - and 3 years later it still looks great!

We really liked the way Aspen Construction laid the asphalt for our first cabin, so when we went to get a quote to do our other cabin on Cottage Grove in Lake Arrowhead, I called Stacey again. We again were very pleased with the job - from meeting with Stacey, to grading the parking area and to laying the asphalt. We highly recommend Aspen Construction to anyone we meet.

I called them 3 weeks ago for the first time, followed up with email as they request on their message. 3phone calls, messages and two email later after 3 weeks now there is still not even a response from them.

Terrible service - they're a liar and a cheat! They shortchanged us on paving our driveway, then tried to charge us more to fix it. A curb was placed about 2 ft in from the edge of the driveway and now I have to trip over it every time I get out of the car! Never heard from them again after promising to come and fix things. Now 3 months later the driveway remains very soft - even jacking up a small car is causing dents in the driveway as does parking the motorcycle tire against the curb! Turns out a friend had a similar bad experience with them - they did a shoddy job and never returned to fix it.

I initially called this company for a small job, but it took three days for someone to call me back. Pat finally came out and made recommendations, and told me he would email me a quote the next day. I personally wrote down my email address for him so there was no question of the spelling ect....Well,,,,,10 days later, I am still waiting for that quote. In those 10 days, I called 10 times and left 4 messages (July 23rd - 2x, July 24th - 1x, July 29th - 2x, July 31st - 5x) Stacy gave me the same song and dance routine saying that she would have the quote to me the next day. That was after the 7th day of calling. After 12 days, 10 calls, 4 messages and a Yelp review, Stacy returns my call, and then gets me confused with another customer. I really don't understand why a company would waste their time coming out in the first place if they were not going to do the job, or were too busy. I cannot speak for the work that they do, only for what they didn't do. I am not sure what is going on in the office, but I cannot recommend this company due to their lack of communication with their customers. Just a recommendation to the company Owner/Owner's, if you guys are that busy, let the customer know up front how far out you are, or just verbally tell the customer you can't do it. It's that simple!

Of course, after reading my review, this company calls me back for damage control. Stacy left a message stating that she has had my quote ready since the beginning of the week and made several attempts to get a hold of me. (Funny, my phone records don't indicate that).

Secondly, she got me confused with another customer, because she was talking about windows being installed for the 20th, which my job had nothing to do with windows and we never discussed a date at any time. Now I am 100% sure that I will never use or recommend this company. The kicker of her message was that Stacy ended her message telling me that I was "Rude" and "Offensive" with what I wrote on Yelp and Google.

This is what I put out to Aspen Construction, and especially Stacy. Yelp and Google were set up for people to make honest reviews and to assist someone to use your services or not, given the reviews. If you take offense to an honest review, then I recommend you not have a Yelp account. In your message, you stated that Aspen Construction has a lot on their plate. Well, as I mentioned before, just tell the customer how far out you are with their job, or just be honest and tell the customer you guys are too busy.

Unfortunately for this company, this review is here to assist the next person in their decision to use your services for their construction needs or not, and will be here for awhile.

    ****Update****
Stacey from Aspen Construction did reach out to me shortly after I posted a review of their company. Stacey's explanation as to what happened was that the two emails I sent her went to her "Spam" account, and she couldn't locate my email address that I wrote down for Pat. Furthermore, Stacey stated that she and Pat were shocked to read the review. Well, As stated in the initial review, I made 10 calls and left 4 messages to this company. Pat also had my contact information and e-mail address. You would think that Stacey would have picked up the phone and called me to ask me for my e-mail address. On all 4 messages, I left my phone number. Stacey never apologized or took ownership of anything. This review is a review only, and consumers should take it as such. Stacey and Pat stated in their email to me that this was a complaint of "Ill-will". I assure you, this is far from that.
