I recently encountered an internet connectivity issue at my home. The service provider recommended upgrading the old RG59 to the new RG6 to resolve the problem. After getting all the details, Alex from Smart Wires provided a fair quote that included an estimate on materials. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. I would recommend him to others for work around their house.

It was late night and I realized my outdoor lights stopped working. I requested an electrician to help on yelp and I received a list of vendors. Alex from Smart Wires was one of them and I'm sooo glad I choose him. He responded right away and made an appointment with me first thing in the morning. He arrived at 9am as promised even thou it was pouring rain. Within 15 minutes he was able to diagnose and repair the issue with my complex lighting system. Best of all he was honest and fair. This is hard to come by nowadays. Alex has gained my trust and I want to share with all of you. If you want an honest, hardworking, reliable electrician- trust me and call Alex. You won't be sorry.

I would highly recommend Smart Wires for home wiring projects. Alex arrived on-time and on short notice to fix an unexpected wiring issue. Alex was fantastic! He helped with some electrical in our bathroom. He responded quickly, helped out within 1 days, was really efficient, and best of all he was really fair with his pricing. Also- he was really thoughtful about how much he would need to cut into our drywall and was able to come up with solutions that caused the least amount of patching work after. He did the patching which was fantastic and, again, the fact that he actually thought about the work we would have to do after, offered us a few solutions and let us decide (rather than just doing work without consulting with us), we just really appreciated that so much.

There was a room where all the outlets were out, and we tried flipping all the breakers, but nothing worked. Alex came out a few hours after we contacted him on a Sunday. It took him no time to figure out the problem and educate us on the new breaker box for our solar panel. He was professional, efficient, and had excellent communication skills. Plus, his flat rate was reasonable. If I need an electrician in the future, I'm going to call him!

People who will read my review, I want you to know that you find the right person for your job. I am a real customer and a very happy one. I started my year with a sort of disaster storm and in the winter time a furnace issue is a very big deal. I was freezing for days and been through a lot until I find Alex. I came through many companies and all of them tried to rip me off in many ways, and the biggest surprise was one of them was Home depot's contractor and they shouldn't have changed anything because I already paid home depot for their services but they tried.
When I met Alex I was already so stressed and tired and cold, but he took all of these off of me and I don't have enough words to compliment him as much as he deserves it.
He is very reasonably priced, he is trustworthy, always kept his promises, punctual, kind and professional, he knows what he is doing, and if he doesn't have an answer for you he will go and find it study the case and fix your problems. He is one of the most hardworking person I came across with.
He came for my rescue Friday 8pm and been there till after 9pm and then back next day it's unbelievable.

My old furnace had an issue with the transformer, that was so old he couldn't find a replacement for but he was so clever and replaced it with a solution that cost me nearly nothing and it's working better than ever.
As I said before he is the right person for the problems to solve. And on the top of all these he managed to replace my extremely old thermostat with a new one that every other company said it's not doable.
I am super grateful for him and I can't recommend him enough.

My elderly mom needed to replace her ancient range that was on its last legs. However, there were not that many options on the market for a new one that would properly fit in her kitchen cabinetry. Smart Wires were able to modify the cabinetry to ensure a more standard range would fit with the electrical wiring working perfectly. Everything was done efficiently, cleanly, and looking great! My mom couldn't be happier!

I needed an electrial repair on a house I manage. I reached out to Smart Wires and they were able to get there within 30 minutes and fix the problem. Great service and communication.

Alex installed my new Ring doorbell and spotlight/video cam. He showed up on time, was efficient, helped me set up the app, and did a great job. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would definitely call Smart Wires again.

My Lorex smart doorbell stopped working: my SD cards got corrupted multiple times and the mechanical chime in my house stopped ringing. I called Lorex; they said I should have an electrician come to my house. I had the electrician who installed the wiring in my house (when it was built) come; he couldn't figure out the problem.

Also, I had wired security cameras built into the house, but didn't know how to connect the NVR (partly because I couldn't identify a connection to my router).

Regarding the security cameras, Alex was able to look in my attic to identify how to connect to my router. That enabled him to set up my NVR. Helpfully, he even set up my security cameras on the Lorex app; it enabled him to demonstrate that the work was done correctly, but it also saved me a lot of time because Alex knew his was around the app much better than I do.

Regarding the doorbell, after a lengthy diagnostic (checking the wiring, the transformer, the voltage, and that the wiring was able to ring the mechanical chime when the doorbell was not involved), Alex was able to confirm that my doorbell was faulty. I bought a replacement, and Smart Wires helpfully (remarkably) sent Alex back to install the doorbell at no additional charge (including, again, the app setup, saving me some additional time and inconvenience).

Alex made interesting and helpful recommendations while here. He mentioned that they could connect my security cameras directly to my TV. I asked him about potentially adding an additional security camera outside: he made recommendations regarding the Lorex camera I should buy (including following up immediately with links), and proposed where to install it for enhanced security. Alex mentioned that Smart Wires has a general contracting license, if needed they punch through my dry wall to run the needed wires for the camera, and then patch everything back up good as new.

I am extremely impressed and pleased with the service I received. I will proactively look to Smart Wires for any smart home type installations going forward, and would recommend them without reservations.
