DS Scurry Construction saved my family. The roof on our house in St. Louis was destroyed and we had to move into a hotel, so it was a relief to find a reliable contractor with both the BBB A+ rating and the follow-through to back it.

DS Scurry did such a great job, they cleaned up every nail and we've referred them to family and friends that have got new roofs now also.

This company made replacing our siding a breeze. Very responsive in our initial consult, we met the owner himself and went over our options for what we wanted done. Fair pricing, wonderfully communicative about realistic timelines, and their team were masters of their craft. We ran into issues (as what happens with major updates to an older home), but they again communicated well as we explored options and price points. The workers were quick, and their attention to detail was amazing. Very pleased with how our house looks, and highly recommend these folks for their efficient and excellent work.

Prompt, courteous, and professional. The crews did a great job on our roof, fascia, soffit, and gutters. They worked several long days and cleaned up at the end of every day.

Did an awesome job on our roof after hail 5 years ago! Took care of all the insurance stuff so we didn't have to do anything, and during the last few years while my neighbors houses have tiles getting blown off in the wind, my Scurry roof is holding strong!

My wife and I own several single family frame rental houses. We first used D & S Scurry years ago for a hail damage roof replacement. His crew does prompt and professional work at a good price. We use only D $ S now, and when I price shop with other roofers, his price knocks them out of the ballpark. I wish our other service companies were as good!

I had a very frustrating experience with Scurry Construction due to their lack of follow-through and poor communication, despite my repeated efforts to stay in contact and move the project forward.

Dan initially provided a basic quote for a straightforward roofing project, which I signed. Shortly after, I asked about adding a skylight. He said it was something he could do, and I expected we would go over options and receive an updated quote. That never happened.

From that point on, communication dropped off completely. I made repeated attempts to follow up and coordinate next steps. Each time, I was told Dan was busy or that he would call me back, but he never did. In plain terms, I was ghosted.

This went on for nearly a year. Eventually, I was told by the office that Dan no longer wanted to do the project, with no explanation and no direct communication from him.

Even more frustrating is that this was a simple, straightforward job to begin with. There was no reason for this level of avoidance or lack of professionalism. If a contractor doesn’t want a job, that’s fine—but it should be communicated clearly and respectfully, not dragged out for months.

I would not recommend this company.

Called their office spoke to someone to set appointment for a quote, while they worked around the corner from my home. Never heard back from them
