Sunday early afternoon my kitchen sink is backed up and has standing water on both sides. Did an online search and called 10 different plumbers knowing it would be hard to get someone out on a Sunday.

Even though A Ability Discount Plumbing is closed on Sundays he did answer his phone and was honest that since it is his day off, he can't come until the following day. That being said he took the time to 1) refer me to other plumbers who he knew were open on Sundays 2) give me a some phone numbers on plumbers who work hourly and may be willing to come out on a Sunday 3) took the time to listen to what was wrong with my kitchen sink and give me suggestions on how to possibly solve the kitchen sink problem myself depending on my level of DIY (which is zero)

Before calling his referrals, I tried one of his plumbing techniques and woo hoo, I sure did fix the backed up sink by myself. Saved time, not having to spend the rest of the day waiting on a plumber to come to my house. Saved money by never paying Anthony Plumbing's $120 service fee just to come out and look at the problem, plus actual cost of fixing the problem.

A Ability Discount Plumbing gives you a reasonable, fair price for your money and service. Knows his stuff, reliable, friendly. Will be using A Ability Discount Plumbing for all future plumbing needs. 5 Stars, highly recommend.

Was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and up front with pricing. Attempted to help me solve the problem over the phone prior to coming out, and fixed several minor issues under our kitchen sink in addition to replacing a defective valve. He also fixed it all for less than the other guy’s leak fee. Would recommend to anyone. Great plumber and a great person.

A 5 Star Plumber for Overland Park. Richard came out to put in a new vanity but ran into some really outdated plumbing and unforeseen problems. He rebuilt two water intake valves rather than replacing them, flushed out the water lines exposing a problem with the bath tub spigot, replaced the spigot and shower head while saving me a bunch of money in the process This was all before he even got to the vanity install, which went extremely well. Everything looks great, works great and very happy with the outcome. He couldn't be easier to deal with either. I highly recommend him.

Richard is a man with morals and years of experience. Over the phone he walked me through how to stop a leak on the valve for my main house water. Only years of experience can do what he did. Anyone in Gardner or close by should definitely call him for any plumbing needs.

I've been a customer for over 10 years and always happy with the quality of work and price. On the few occasions where I bothered to get bids, Richard was always the lowest. He's never cut corners or rushed, and in one case he was able to fix something that a larger company told me would need to be replaced for several thousand dollars.

I am a first time home buyer and had sewer line problems due to tree roots growing into my lines. I had one company try to unclog it and they told me my line was busted. Richard came out yesterday after a septic guy had made me believe the worst about our septic tank. The septic guy was not coming out to rooter our main line like he said he would and kept putting me off nearly a week after my original call which was awful since we could hardly use water without it backing up in our shower downstairs. Richard worked hard and used an old plumbers trick to snake the main line and ended up removing a clog. Apparently, most of the clog was there since we moved in last summer as a toilet always has gurgled when flushing a toilet upstairs. Now I can use my house and water like I should've been able to and no more gurgling toilet. I will call Richard again in a heartbeat with any future plumbing needs.

I've used Richard many times. This time for garbage disposal and diverter in shower tub. Richard is honest about the work and recommends the best products and tells you why. I would never think of using anyone else for plumbing work.

My family and i moved here beginning of september, Richard and his wife were beyond kind to our family welcoming us to the neighborhood. Just had Richard out to replace some leaking shut off valves under a sink. He quickly identified the issue - old worn out washers. He replaced the washers, reinstalled the valves AND flushed out the line to the sink faucet to remove an old piece of washer that was inhibiting water flow. On top of it all, very personable and kind. Highly recommend!

I was in need of a plumber to fix an issue with the washing machine water supply valve in my house. The lead time was short because I was expecting a new washing machine to be delivered the same day. My regular go-to plumber had been getting more and more expensive and less and less responsive when I had issues with any of my rental houses. I finally called AAAbility Discount Plumbing after being told that I needed to replace all the pipes under the house to get a tub to drain properly. Richard came out the same day and had the tub draining perfectly in 5 minutes. I appreciate his honesty and willingness to explain what he is doing and what our options are. I called Richard to come over and fix a sump pump/back up pump problem I was having. He analyzed and explained the problem and gave me options. We both agreed on the solution and he did a professional with the repair. I enjoyed his knowledgeable information and will definitely be calling him the next time I have a plumbing problem.

I give Richard A 5-star on here , I live in Olathe and he went above and beyond what was asked of him. Very reasonable price. Will definitely use him again I have found the plumber I need. I have an older home and he's able to work on it very easily. Tried another local plumber who didn't even try to fix my shut off valve of my house. Said I needed all new lines, Richard looked at it and said no I do not and he will be able to fix it without replacing all the line.
