Brett came out to install another electrical panel so I could update the water heater from a gas to an electric. He was able to come out in hours notice and quickly get the water heater up and running! Very easy to work with and personable. Will be using Metro Lakes Electric in the future!

I had the pleasure of the owner of Metro Lakes Electric service my home. We were in a pinch with relocating out of state to South Carolina and with some post inspector home improvements needed prior to our close, the owner and his team quickly provided wired carbon monoxide detectors with installation, reviewed our circuit breaker, upgraded our smart home. He replaced our external outlets in order for us to give our home a sell ready look and feel. I believe the owners name is Bret, he worked with us in order to be available on our time frame, he was clean and professional and we felt he was honest without having the feeling like he was up selling anything. In the stressful situation of moving, especially to another state Metro Lakes Electric made our transition that much easier! I took the time to write this review as I know we won’t be able to use them again as we are no longer in Minnesota but I hope someone reads this and decides to use their services, as that is the least I could do to help out this great up and coming family friendly company!

Super reliable and skilled!! They did a unique panel upgrade and additional sub panel install that several other companies didn't even want to touch.. showed up on time and reasonably priced!!

Brett Krook has worked for me on 100's of Commercial Lighting Projects for the past 3.5 years. His performance on my projects is absolutely incredible. Most lighting contractors would never even think of hiring a Master Electrician like Brett to do this sort of work in lieu of cheaper installers.

The addition of his apprentice electrician Nathan, a 21 year old Superstar in the making from the Iron Range of Minnesota has made for an unbeatable tandem on these projects,

Brett at Metro Lakes Electric was fantastic to work with! He is friendly, professional, and made the entire process easy from start to finish. He completed the job efficiently and in a timely manner, and the quality of his work was excellent. It’s hard to find reliable contractors, and Brett definitely exceeded expectations. I highly recommend Metro Lakes Electric and will absolutely use them again in the future!

I learned very quickly that having a competitive estimate comes at a very steep price. I contacted Metro Lakes weeks before my project. First I was told he was leaving town on my first preferred date of work. No problem. Then he tells me a date that works for him. We set it up so it can work around his schedule. Next comes another email that he has been offered an out of town job and that he will be gone for 3 weeks. Great. He works it out so he can come at a more inconvenient time for me but the job will get done. Finally the day before at 8:51 pm he emails me (which I don’t see until the next day mind you) that he has some work to finish up before he goes on that out of town job.

So my job isn’t worth his time. Well I had many other electrical needs that would’ve made him plenty of money.

This guy is extremely unprofessional and doesn’t stick to a timeline. If you commit to a job (3 times) you should go and do the work.
