  My favorite rug was almost destroyed by a flood in my house. It was saved by Kingsway / Long Island Carpet . From start to finish the process was professional and excellent. My rug was delivered to a standard that exceeded my expectations. The rug backing was fully restored ( it was in bad shape before the flood) and rug itself was restored to its original luster. The subsequent delivery of my repaired rug was excellent. The two gentlemen who placed my rug back in my dining room were kind, courteous and professional as well. I got my precious rug back. Thank you!

  I recently arranged for Kingsway to shampoo/steam clean the carpeting in the communal stairs and hallways for our co-op's five-floor brownstone and was *very* happy with the process from start to finish. Pricing was reasonable, booking the appointment was easy, and the technicians arrived on time, were courteous/professional and did an excellent job cleaning our very well trod carpeting. I highly recommend using Kingsway!

  Spilled an entire large iced coffee on my beige rug- they came right away and the stain is gone! I have used Kingsway for several of these emergencies as well as preventative protective coating my upholstered chairs. I have 3 kids and it’s done the trick. Love them! The best!!!

  I had a rug picked up by this company in early September. I was aware that it was an older rug, under a bed and in need of a good cleaning. The customer service person Dorothy called me and spoke about alot of damage from moths. I was very surprised that my beautiful expensive rug was in such bad shape that she recommended disposing it. She was very curt. I requested and quickly received photos. I was not told on the phone that the cost for disposal would be $80- and that the rug was going to be treated for moth infestation immediately at the cost of $80. I got back to Dorothy about 15 minutes after seeing the photos and requested that the rug be discarded. Minutes later I received an invoice listing all the fees. I do not understand why all fees weren’t clearly explained on the phone during our first conversation. Dorothy was in a big rush to get off the phone. I don’t think I should be charged for a moth cleaning. I wasn’t given a time frame for responding to this upsetting situation and I think a15 minute response is reasonable. It was a terrible customer service experience. I have been a (Long Island Carpet Cleaner) Customer for over 25 years.

  Beware! They pulled a bait and switch. My family used this company a number of times under the name Fabricleen over the years, without any issue. It has been a while, but I pulled an old invoice and called them to clean a rug they had previously cleaned. They gave us a quote on the phone for the cleaning and offered an additional service for a couple of hundred dollars more. We agreed, but In fact, they billed us $100 more for the regular cleaning and $500 for the added service, not the $200 quoted on the phone. Looking at an old invoice, the measurements for the rug magically changed from the last couple of times they cleaned it and of course that difference in size justified the inflated cost for the regular cleaning. The complany also failed to give us the 20% for the entire job as promised since it was booked during a sale. It took a lot of subsequent arguing to get the 20% discount but it was on the inflated pricing! Also, they no longer call themselves “Fabricleen” and now call themselves “Kingsway”. When I asked wjo was Kingsway, I was told it was the delivery service. Only later did I find out from a salesperson that Kingsway is the new branding of an old company. It is clear to me that They took advantage of my 98 year-old father. After they delivered the rug, we declined additional services like un- rolling the carpet, but they charged us for it anyway. What should have been a $500 job ended up costing almost twice that. I have no idea what condition the rug is in since it is sitting here unrolled. I suggest great caution when dealing with this company. They are not what they once were.
