Once I had a tree fall on the rear of my house and Bill came the very next day to repair my roof. It is a pleasure to do business with honest and reliable people who do what they say they will do. We had wood rot on the front of our house that needed to be replaced. We decided to replace the wood with pvc board as well as new siding in some areas. Bill as well as his crew and office employees were amazing to work with. The crew showed up on time and were professional and polite. The price was very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend Keyway Construction!!!

I called the office after discovering a roof vent that was broken and leaking water. The woman in the office handled my call professionally and with personality. She called me the day of the appointment to confirm. Bill showed up right on time, he estimated the repair and quoted me a fair price. He didn't have the vent but said he'd be back first thing in the morning.(Saturday)Bill was back the next morning at 8am and replaced the vent. I was very impressed with the service and the professional manner of Keyway Construction. They put a new roof on another house I owned about 10 years ago and did a great job. I plan to use them when my current house needs a roof. I'm not sure what else I could ask of a contractor/business. I will not hesitate to call them again.

Owner Bill McHugh is as friendly and straight up as they come. The best contractor I’ve dealt with by far. His estimate was straight up and only increased a bit when I added changes. Pricing was more than fair, so much so that I’m having him replace my Moms roof.

Now to the men on-site doing the dirty work. Extremely hard workers, respectful of both you and your property. Always punctual and working until dark. They were very meticulous with everything we had them do (replace front door & storm door, replace back patio doors, paint exterior of home) and always left the work area clean at the end of their day. And most importantly, everything was done right the first time.

In short, an excellent experience!!

Services - Roof repair and wood rot repair above garage door due to poor original installation of siding which allowed water seepage over the years. For each service visit, Bill and his crew were prompt, professional and the services provided were reasonably priced. I highly recommend Keyway Construction.

I can't recommend Bill and Keyway enough! He just finished up a job that involved several fixes on the exterior of my house. Bill was pleasant to work with from the moment he came out for the initial appointment. He seemed very honest and up front and didn't try to sell me more than what I needed. I had many questions after I received the initial quote and he and Melanie were so patient with me, and answered all my questions! His prices were extremely fair for the quality of the work. I will definitely be calling Keyway again for future needs!

Keyway did a new roof for us last week. they were the company that did our roof 16 years ago. We also have gotten 2 sets of skylights from. Have never had a problem with them. Bill is always very helpful. the guys that did the roof were very polite and got the job done in a day. Everything was cleaned up. They did a beautiful job. I'm very pleased with their work.

Bill McHugh at Keyway Construction is THE BEST! Bill is an honest, hardworking, and thoughtful contractor (rare!) who employs a team that takes pride in their work. They do precise and high quality work at a very competitive price. I have not only used Keyway personally on my own home to great satisfaction but also as a Realtor. I had rotted boards and siding all around my house as well as some other projects (installation of new storm door, gutter repair, etc...). I had several contractors come out and give estimates for the work to be done. Bill McHugh and Keyway Construction got the job, based on his friendly demeanor, time he took with my wife and me walking the house and thoroughly explaining what needs to be done. Bill's knowledge and years of experience came through loud and clear. We also got a strong sense that he is a man of integrity. Bill did not disappoint. Jesus, Israel and Norma were a great team. They were on time each day, worked at a good pace and the repair work was outstanding! Will also say that Melissa & Sonya in the office were super friendly and communicated next steps clearly. In August had a roof leak denied coverage by Nationwide. Turns out most roofing companies don’t want a repair job when around the corner is a full roof replacement. If they even consider it, the estimate shows that they’d prefer not do it. So, 6 months later, I find Keyway and Bill and Sonya. Finally, a honest, reliable and reasonable roofing company to help me. What a relief to have it fixed! New flashing, a cricket and kick back at gutter. Highly recommend Keyway Construction and Roofing and they will be my only call in the few short years when I qualify for a full roof replacement.

We built a new home in Indian Trail in November of 2015. We heard that Bill at Keyway had high integrity as he fixed a repair for a friend of mine for $100 after another roofing contractor quoted $2,200. We got a beautiful roof and he even put the Chimney Cap on walking up a 40 foot ladder with one hand carrying a shorter ladder to use once he got to the steep roof. Our roof is beautiful, there are no leaks and we were really happy with his crew. Would highly recommend Keyway to anyone.

2021: Bill and his team are great! They installed new handrails, re-sealed wood deck and furniture, painted exterior of the house, removed a rotten bay window, and replaced siding. All of the work was professionally done, and we are very satisfied. Would highly recommend!

10/16/2025 Update: Still a Great Company! As an owner of a few rental properties, Keyway Construction is my go-to for any major repairs and roofing. Bill’s team is highly skilled, conscientious and trustworthy. Keyway can be trusted to deliver a worry free project at a reasonable cost.

Bill at Keyway Construction is a pleasure to work with. He is thorough and does a good job. He has done two "roof tune-ups" for our home over three years and I am very pleased with the work. The final price has always been what was estimated - no surprises. I recommend their services.
