Isaiah from HVAC-Direct has been fantastic, providing top-notch customer service during my recent AC installations. He consistently goes above and beyond to resolve any issues, following up promptly to ensure everything is fixed and I'm satisfied. Isaiah is a total pro and an absolute joy to work with - highly recommended!

I've had an ACIQ heat pump from HVAC Direct for three years now, but things took a turn for the worse just last week when I experienced a massive control failure on the unit. The initial process for getting replacement parts was smooth, but they sent me the wrong ones. I spent Friday trying to get the correct parts sorted out, only to be given repeatedly delayed time frames for when I'd receive calls from technicians - which never materialized until just before they left for the weekend. Now, it's been over a week since my AC stopped working and I'm no closer to getting it up and running. I called management yesterday in hopes of finding a resolution, but unfortunately, that call never came through as promised. With forecasted highs this week reaching the mid-90s, I'm starting to lose patience - my kids need their house cool, not a malfunctioning system. This has been a thoroughly disappointing experience.

I spent over $15,000 on a massive air conditioning system, including a 5-ton central unit with both in/out and ductless options. However, the company's accessories were a major letdown. The emergency heat heating coil I ordered took an excruciating three attempts to get right - it was a miracle the first one fit, considering their product specifications had me questioning its accuracy. Over two months later, after shelling out over $1,000 for installation and consulting services to rectify each incorrect part, I finally got some semblance of reassurance that they would check with suppliers before sending replacements. Despite this, I gave them another chance, thinking perhaps it was an isolated incident since the company came highly recommended. Unfortunately, my patience wore thin when trying to make a return within the promised window. It took more than six calls, with multiple managers unavailable or unresponsive during those conversations. Four different people even reached out via email, asking if I needed anything, which only made me reiterate that I wanted to initiate a return. My takeaway: if you're looking for a hassle-free experience and want to save money in the long run, consider going local and opting for a company with genuine expertise and internal capabilities. While this might come at a higher upfront cost, it's likely a better investment in the long term, especially when it comes to warranty integrity.

They had an issue with their delivery, but they promptly addressed it. They got back to me right away and made things right quickly. The problem was fixed within a day, and I appreciated the thorough answers to my remaining questions.

I initially gave this company one star, but after some communication with their management, my opinion has shifted. It's clear that the company is expanding rapidly and investing in new hires - young American phone representatives who require substantial training and financial investment. Having previously purchased equipment from HVAC Direct, I can attest to their quality products. The excellent management team they've put in place also deserves credit.

I'm thrilled with my new heating system from hvacdirect.com. The Mitsubishi HyperHeat is performing wonderfully, maintaining a cozy temperature in my Florida room despite its old single-pane glass windows.

I recently purchased two ACIQ extreme heat pumps and matching air handlers from this company, and if they meet their advertised performance standards, I'll be thrilled. The customer service has been decent so far, with tech assistance being okay too. The one major issue I've encountered is the poor documentation provided with the units. Some of the information is unclear, and it's required me to call customer service multiple times to clarify various points. Thankfully, the team at HVAC Direct handled these calls professionally, but they seemed a bit short on knowledge regarding air filter requirements. Specifically, my two air handlers lack a backside lip to support the filter, and the installation manual doesn't provide any guidance on selecting the right size filter. The tech support couldn't find this information either, which led me to suggest a simple modification: adding a small 1/2"x 1/2" lip at the rear of each air handler to better seal the filter in place. Fortunately, the ACIQ-48-AHB and ACIQ-48-HPB units I purchased have performed beautifully so far. We're extremely pleased with the comfort level, noise reduction, and features of the system. Installation was straightforward, direct, and flawless – as long as you follow the directions and have basic mechanical competence. The equipment fired up smoothly, did what it was supposed to do, and provides a new level of comfort that's been a game-changer for us (we haven't used the heat function yet, being in NC in May). The ACIQ Customer Service has always been responsive, with Amanda providing helpful information on my recent calls. However, I did experience a brief glitch where a tech was disconnected and never followed up – but this was an isolated incident. Overall, it seems like these units will be great if they meet their performance claims, and the customer service team is doing a good job overall.

I've had issues with four out of six units installed by this company over the past year. The waiting period for repairs has been lengthy, often taking over two months before a solution was found. The latest issue is that I'm still waiting to be contacted regarding a "hire-up" unit that developed problems shortly after installation. This unit had a faulty liquid line that ruptured right before the TXV, with no pressure switch installed. To rectify this, I had to pay for repairs out of pocket. Initially, the problem was apparent when the unit wouldn't run or produce sound, and upon inspecting it, I found 1 lb 3 oz of moisture in a 5-ton unit - an unacceptable condition. I'm now on an indefinite wait to receive a call back about some "brand-specific" flare nuts that can only be obtained from specialized suppliers. The lack of communication is frustrating, especially considering the potential consequences for units already installed in the field. I would advise sticking with local supply houses to avoid these issues; it's simply not worth the hassle and risk.

I bought two mini splits from them, got excellent units at a great price. The sales team, led by Kenya, was super helpful.
