Guilty. I was completely guilty of letting the negative reviews of this business formulate a preconceived notion in my head of what working with them would be like. We purchased an over the range microwave from Lowe's on Labor Day weekend and found out after that A-1 would be responsible for installing it in our home. Upon learning this, I googled the company and was pretty perturbed by the amount of negative reviews they received in various places. With respect and empathy to those who may have had a frustrating time, it was absolutely smooth sailing for me. They called to set up a time and the original option they provided didn't work for me. I live in Salem, so the next available slot they could offer me was almost 2 weeks after that original one. A bit annoying, but honestly I have to take half the blame because I could have had the microwave a couple days after purchasing it. Fast-forward to the agreed-upon installation date, and those online review seeds were still firmly planted in my brain. "They might not even show up," I thought cynically. Well, instead, my installer Shawn called me a half hour before the projected time window and asked if he could arrive early. "Please do!" He was professional, respectful, tidy, and quick. He was done and gone like 5 minutes into the original promised time frame, leaving me the rest of the day to do anything but wait around for a microwave delivery. Lesson learned. Online reviews can be informing, but ultimately you should experience things for yourself before solidifying your own opinion. And my opinion of A-1 is a very positive one after today.

Spencer was fantastic. I didn't even know that he had gotten the entire thing installed while I took a business call. It was a cramped space, 1960s fixtures and loads of annoyance and I was thinking I would need to help with it. I can't understate how awesome Spencer is, I was looking through these reviews and his name comes up a couple times, I know he didn't ask me to write any review, and that says something when so many people are raving about this guy.

I originally had a date way out but when I brought it up to Costco, they sorted it out and it was installed in a timely manner. Despite that one hic-up everything has gone smoothly so far.

Fantastic service! They have been out for a couple of installs now, both times having to correct mistakes made by the vendors i got appliances from, and had a great sense of humor about our unique situations caused by outside reps. Working with them a few times now I'm grateful for the excellent customer service and communication- i highly recommend the team at A1.

**I have read some of the other reviews and based on experience can say the issues with costco appliances are not A1's fault as they have gone above and beyond for my family when things went sideways. It is not their fault big box stores write off their customer service as soon as they get paid.

I purchased appliances through Costco and they contract with A1 to complete the install. I have to admit I was a little hesitant after reading reviews. I have to say, these guys were on time and professional- even making some recommendations and offering to come back when I was ready (dishwasher was not originally wired properly). They cleaned up when leaving, endured they were careful around the new cabinets and floors, and walked me through the new appliance.
They did mention some companies they contract with don’t include high quality hardware which can cause problems so I highly recommend you ask them if the hoses they’re using is what they recommend. I would recommend A1 to others in the future.

A1 was assigned to us by Costco when we bought a dishwasher from them. They showed up when they said they would, removed our old dishwasher and had the new one installed in less than 30 minutes. Also went over features of the dishwasher with us. They did an excellent job and we were very impressed.

This review is coming a little late. Back in September of 2018 I purchased new appliances from Lowe’s. Pete from this company came out and installed my dishwasher for me. Mine was not the usual install due to the location in relation to the kitchen sink. The guy was on time, very friendly, really knew his business and did a great job. He was efficient and not there too long, cleaned up everything, did his best to protect my floors, cabinets. I am now looking them up to do the install of my over the range hood system. I see these negative reviews and I am shocked. So I am inclined to write this review and absolutely want Pete to come to Salem and do my next install job.

A1 Installations just installed my dishwasher purchased from Costco. They were excellent. They were on time, very efficient and I appreciated that they checked everything first to ensure it worked appropriately before leaving! They even showed me how to use it! Highly recommend!

This company installed a dishwasher (bought from Costco) at my house. Communication with the office team was very good an smooth. The crew came per the set time window. They called me half an hour before arrival. Arrived with all tools and floor protection sheet, listened and communicated very well about what I needed (because I am a picky person), tested the unit, and finally left without leaving any damage whatsoever. Thank you for such a good service.

Edit - I feel it necessary to explain a little bit about the situation here in the PNW. Understandably, many people are frustrated thinking they have appointments set up by Costco & they rely on them. I can tell you based on speaking with Barb & Curtis, that isn’t the case. A1 does installations for many major retailers & unless A1 confirms the appointment, you likely don’t have it. They are being double booked. Their appointments aren’t only dictated by Costco, there are other retailers they are obligated to install for. They are so courteous, knowledgeable, patient & helpful. I’m sorry if your experience doesn’t align with ours, but it’s likely because you’re only hearing from Costco. Reach out well ahead of your appointment, leave a message & be patient for a call back. These people are running around a massive area doing many installs every day for several different retailers. Maybe from that standpoint, it’s a little easier to understand why appointments are “missed” or calls aren’t returned immediately. Also, four months later, our dishwasher is great and working exceptionally, it cleans all our un-rinsed dishes perfectly!

A1 installations, was excellent! I could not recommend them more. Barb & Curtis came as a team to install & they were so friendly, professional, prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating - amazing. I read the reviews ahead of time & of course was apprehensive, but after having them in my home, with my two young boys present and in the way and asking lots of little kid questions, I’d recommend them to all my friends & family. Heck, I probably asked more questions than my boys and they were very patient & friendly through it all. The Costco Dishwasher install was PERFECT! Could not have been any better. They brought everything needed for the Bosch to be installed, had everything needed to keep the area neat & tidy (vac, mat.) I know people aren’t perfect & mistakes can be made, but after my experience, I’d have them back in a heartbeat.

Contracted through Costco for dishwasher installation. Was worried after reading reviews on here, and also about the sizing because we had a bear of a time getting our old dishwasher out and ready for pickup. However our experience turned out to be excellent.
They called to say they would be there about an hour earlier than expected, which was nice. We live on a very steep street, with a steep driveway and about a dozen front steps. Installer didn't let it phase him, just hoisted it all the way inside by himself and got to work. Was quick and pleasant and we were using our new dishwasher an hour later. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with both the scheduling and instillation experts at A1. The scheduling expert arranged everything for me and even called Costco on my behalf to ensure the delivery and install times lined up.

Yesterday Allen and Duncan came out and installed the dishwasher I purchased from Costco. They arrived in the time specified, got right to work, completed the job very quickly - less than an hour!- and hauled away my old dishwasher for me. I even got some tips on how to get more out of my dishwasher. Turns out that I should have been using the rinse aid this whole time and never knew...

This was such a wonderful experience! I used my new dishwasher right after they left and am thrilled to have put away my drying rack.

If I need help again, I'll be calling A1!

We purchased a dishwasher through Costco, and A1 was contracted to install our new dishwasher and haul away our old one. On the first date reserved through Costco, nothing happened. I received a phone call from A1 letting me know that Costco was over scheduling installs. The scheduler from A1 was very nice and professional, and we got a date set up through A1 directly. The install and removal were both seamless, and our installer was fantastic. I was very impressed with the level of service received from A1 - it sounds like the disconnect between scheduling service and delivery of that service may have been on Costco's end. Regardless, A1 did a fantastic job, and I would recommend them to anybody based on the quality performance of their service.

My understanding is that there was a logistical issue with Costco double booking appointments. I left a message with them and they got back to me with a new install date, that was sooner than had I rescheduled through Costco. When they arrived to install it they were professional, polite, very prepared and went above and beyond, working through some challenges with my water valves. Let's give a little grace, they are working long hours and overtime to catch up from an issue caused by Costco Logistics.

I am very satisfied with the service I received from A-1. The schedulers were polite and easy to deal with. The install went very smooth. Nathan did an excellent job. He was fast, efficient, friendly and customer oriented. I would highly recommend A-1 Installations.

Seamless. Ordered my dishwasher through Costco and was worried about removal and installation because of all the negative reviews about this piece of the purchase. But my experience was great. Took quite awhile from date of purchase to have it done but that was expected since I was given about a month out approximate date when I bought the dishwasher from Costco. I got a call from A-1 a little over a month after purchasing the dishwasher to set up removal of my old dishwasher and installation of my new dishwasher. The lady who set the appointment window was nice and gave me clear instructions. My servicer, Pete, was on time, professional and personable. Everything went off without a hitch. Very happy with the service!

A-1 service came to install a faucet for me and gave me great service. I use to be a appliance repair person years ago and I now handle logistics , so I understand the pitfalls of following up with emails and communication. I took time off work to be available for this install and so I needed for A-1 to communicate with me that everything was confirmed. They did a nice job with the communication! I ordered my faucet from Lowes and A-1 contacted me 3 days later(I ordered on a Saturday online) and gave me a appointment for 4 weeks later. I confirmed and waited. 2 days before my appointment they emailed and left me a voicemail that Alan would be arriving between 11 and 2 in the afternoon and I confirmed with both the email and a callback. When the window arrived Alan called me around Noon or so and arrived 15 minutes later. He installed the faucet in quick fashion then gave me some quick instructions on the install(They have a 1 year warranty on their work) and left. A-1 had a nice service van and Alan had tools and was professional . This is a legit installer and I give them my Thanks!

I bought a dishwasher from Costco that came with installation and haul-off. The installer that was sent to my home was amazing. He was very efficient and meticulous with every part of the installation. I am a very skeptical person by nature and tend to nit-pick things to death and I have nothing negative to say about my experience. Thank you A-1 for a job well done!!

I purchased a toilet from Home Depot and install services via A-1 Installations NW LLC were offered by Home Depot. Normally I would have done this toilet replacement myself but decided to try out A-1. We had an appointment set up within a day or so of the purchase. Unfortunately the shipper damaged the original toilet so we had to reschedule. Their office was really great communicating and making sure we had an appointment that worked well for our household.
Spencer was our technician. He as requested checked in with me via phone 30 minutes prior to arrival. When he arrived he was professional, friendly, informational, knowledgeable about what he was doing. He was very efficient. Got the old toilet removed, new one installed and tested in about an hours time. All I had to do was sign. He removed the old toilet, all of the cardboard from the new toilet and cleaned up after himself prior to leaving. I was left very impressed not only by Spencer but by the company he works for. I read a few reviews before leaving mine today and I have to say clearly that anyone who thought or thinks Spencer is unprofessional, I couldn't possibly disagree more. I think its more of a reflection of the person who purchased the appliance rather than Spencer. He was as said above very professional. I highly recommend this service!
