Boiler Room Scam artist. I could not be more disappointed. Note, multi year client. Received the yearly phone call for our service. Based on financial considerations, I told them that I would renew if they kept the same price. No hard feelings if they could not and understood prices go up. Unfortunately, my situation changed and it makes a difference. After a minute or so, the sales rep comes back and says no problem. Good to go, let me put it on the credit card and we are all good. Well, come to find out, the weasel only put us in for front service, not sides or back. well, the back looks awful. I only found out when I happen to be home and I questioned the tech why he only did the front. I get a visit from a manager who tells me what happened. To meet my price,, they cut the service but did not tell me. That is stealing....... period. He agrees to an aeration and seeding to fix. Twice I take a day out of work to be there and twice I get a text saying they are not showing up. We are now at the point where this treatment won't make a difference and I will have to do it myself. STAY AWAY!!!! Mistakes happen but misrepresentation and bait and switch is stealing. PERIOD!!! You cannot get anyone on the phone, just women working from home as customer service. Filing a claim with RI Attorney General's office. Probably won't get me anywhere but at least I will go on record. UPDATE: Received a call from customer service and they arranged to have a aeration and seeding with a grub service to follow. This was to repair the damage done by no treatment in the backyard. Again, front looked great because it was treated. I give kudos to the customer service person who took the time to do multiple follow ups to make sure the treatment was done. I will reserve amending the rating until we see the results of this work. Again, be very careful when talk to any sales person at Tru Green and make sure you are getting what you are paying for. It is behavior like this that gives sales people a bad rap. Stay Tuned. Update. They did repair the damage. I went with them again but make sure I get what I expect. The tech that comes is a young woman. Conscientious and listens and address issues. So far so good. Always trust but verify!

After our initial contract we had an issue with services being provided that weren’t scheduled. They then billed us for those services. After we contacted them about this, over three months 3 different reps promised to get this resolved. It still hasn’t been resolved and we will not be continuing services with them. They get a zero rating!!!

The technician that came out today explained everything in detail to me as what he was going to do and how he was applying it. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about his work. I just wish you had more technicians like him.

This review is not specific to this location. I have used True Green service for four years now. The first couple of years were great the product worked well. The last two years however have been disastrous. My lawn is an embarrassment to my neighborhood and the fact that I pay over $1000 a year for this service is embarrassing. It’s as if the product they use for crab grass control is no longer working. I have called and complained and got extra applications and nothing works. I have canceled my subscription and I have decided to go with a local company with proven results. Finally I would like to compliment the people who serviced my lawn with Trugreen, they have a great crew.

It went well for 4 years and then . . . . The lawn yellowed and I called once and a manager was supposed to arrive today -- the "kid" came who does the spraying. I called this afternoon and whereas the fellow answering the phone was very nice, he didn't know what he was doing. He even made me stay on the phone while he tidied up some work -- he didn't know to say that the manager would give me a call and set up a time to see the lawn. 20 minutes on the phone with mostly quiet time.

Sales representative told me aeration is performed in the spring or mid fall. Looking up aeration it is recommended to perform aeration late August to October where I live. They came and aerated July 24th. I called on a Saturday to ask questions on visits in-between scheduled visits and to find out why my aeration was done so early. I could not be transferred to a sales associate. I called twice. The first person reluctantly transferred me, but then I was disconnected after a recording told me no one was available. I called back and the second person told me that they no longer have the capacity of transferring calls to sales. My number must be registered as a customer because when I called I only had option an existing customer would have, so you can't even call and get a sales person. Both customer service representatives were useless. Could not answer my questions and did not seem to know what they were talking about. When I talked to the second person they said they see that I called to set up aeration. There were other questions I had. I believe the sales person told me extra visits work one way, but when I called, customer service was saying something different. Bottom line. Just another company over promising and under delivering.
