They did a great job on two backyards for us. Wonderful and professional!

Great service and price. My lawn has never looked so good.

We had Kyle redo our front yard and are very happy with the work done. We have a small front yard, they put in new sod, mulch, planted shrubs and trimmed back trees. Our yard looks amazing!

I had been struggling for months digging out very large roots that had literally taken over my yard from the house to the street. I had to remove a deciduous tree that had overgrown its bounds. I hired a company to remove the tree and chip the stump to 12 inches below the soil line. The tree removal company failed to chip down the stump but instead covered it with dirt to make it appear it had been chipped. I asked several landscaping companies if theyd be willing to remove the stump and dig out the huge oversized roots that wove an intricate pattern in the yard and intertwined with the meshing of the underside of the sod. All the companies I asked said no for various reasons. That left me to dig up the roots and chip away at the stump myself by hand. Some of the roots were 6 to 8 feet long and 2 to 6 inches in diameter. There were literally hundreds of them. I soon realized all the sod had to come up because it was inudated with roots from the tree.
After 5 long months I was exhausted and burnt out. I saw Kyle's truck working on a yard in the neighborhood and asked the crew if they pull stumps and roots. They told me to call Kyle. I did and thankfully he answered immediately. He said he'd look at it later that day. I did not expect him to do it as no one else would but in Kyle's easygoing manner he said, "Yes, no problem!" I was elated. Within a couple of days he came back and got that stubborn stump out, fixed the sprinkler system, took ALL my yard waste that had accumulated over time and smoothed the ground for the top soil and sod. He was professional, easy to talk with about my concerns and willing to address the issues I had been struggling with for months. He agreed to do what othercompanies walked away from. He was a lifesaver. A HUGE shout out to Kyle and Kimball Landscaping!! -
Kyle and his team do a mighty awesome job. It makes sure the client is happy. Will have them do my next jobs. I can count on them.

We needed excavation work done to make a clean start for our front yard DIY landscaping project. They also placed three very large rocks for us. Kimball Lanscaping responded quickly with a proposal, set a date and did all the work on time and just the way we requested. What more could you ask for? Thank you!

I had a back yard sprinkler system installed by Kimball Landscaping. Kyle was great to work with throughout the installation. Kyle and his crew were very fast and the finished product looked great. The trenches were filled back and looked great as well. I would highly recommend using Kimball Landscaping.

We had an awesome experience with Kimball Landscaping. They were professional, knowledgeable, and great with communication during our sprinkler system installation as well as additional landscaping projects. Will absolutely be our first call for future landscaping projects.

My family had just moved into a home in Orting with a sprinkler system. Kyle came out to winterize it on short notice and was prompt and polite the whole time while providing a very fair price. Will be reaching out to Kimball Landscaping in the future for any irrigation or landscaping needs

When it comes to landscaping, Kyle excels in all aspects. Recently, we had our .23-acre lot landscaped. Kimball Landscaping craved out new flowerbeds, pathways, extended an existing patio, along with adding raised planters, installed a new side entry gate, lighting, new irrigation system, hydroseeded, and added new front yard sod. This was a huge project, that ran for several weeks, and Kyle had his finger on the pulse the whole time. I received a few quotes from various vendors, but Kyle was the only person that could articulate in detail as to how he would implement the landscape design. Kyle and his team of guys were always on time and today, they still maintain our landscaping needs delivering outstanding results. Thank you, Kimball Landscaping, for the wonderful landscape and for exceeding our expectations.

Kyle and his crew have been providing lawn service at my residence for many years. Kyle is professional and reliable, and his crew are really nice, prompt, and do a great job maintaining our lawn. If ever I have a question Kyle responds promptly even though he is very busy. Kyle installed my fence 2 years ago. I recently noticed a couple of posts that were beginning to lean a bit. I emailed Kyle about the posts and he reached back out to me promptly to assess the issue. He also fit me in to his schedule right away. I respect Kyle for being professional, listening to my concern, and standing behind his work.

I called 4 landscaping companies for help with our sprinkler system. 2 never returned messages, 1 said we needed an entire system replacement for $12,000. After calling Kimball, and speaking with Kyle, he quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a solution. It was a fraction of the cost and work that we had been quoted, the communication was wonderful and his team was skilled. 100% recommend working with these guys. All of my sprinklers work again and better than before.

What a great choice I made when wanting to add an irrigation system to my yard. I got 5 bids and Kimbal came in 30% lower than the next closest bid; but I also had received a recommendation from a close friend who had used Kimball, so I went with them. Not only were they the least expensive, but the were through in what they recommended they install, talked to me about choices and benefits/restrictions of each and together we decided what to do. They completed the whole task in 2 days (which is what they said they would do), cleaned up and restored all landscape to original shape. The crew was very friendly and accommodating. I am very pleased with the results and have no reservation in recommending Kyle and his company. You'll be glad you chose them.

We were very impressed with the amazing lawn Kyle’s team installed in our back yard. The company has great customer service and I give them 5 stars ⭐️

Kyle and his crew built a fence for me, setting posts one day last week and then coming back early the next day to build a beautiful fence in about 6 hours. Cold weather but pleasant guys, worked hard. I would call him again and recommend Kyle to anyone. I love my fence and my neighbors do, too.

This company doesn't return phone calls.

If you are reading this, you are doing your research, so you are already doing better than me. Don't give your money to this man.
Kimball was mowing my HOA park, so out of convenience, years ago when we had a baby, we asked for a bid to keep our small front yard mowed. It's a small yard, maybe 20x20 of actual grass. I could do it myself (I maintain the backyard), but I have a busy job, and as I said, my wife had had a baby.
This was done for convenience, so we wouldn't get complaints from the HOA.
I have no idea what he charges for a small yard like this, but he claimed to be giving me a HUGE discount because he was already in the neighborhood. (If you talk to him, you will learn that he likes to pat himself on the back and tell you how great he is) I didn't do any research. Just wanted to set it and forget it. Learn from my mistakes.
He was charging me $50/month, +tax. I never actually met him. My wife had set it up, and his crew would come once or twice a month (it was fairly inconsistent, but never got too out of hand) to do just an okay job of mowing. There were times that they would miss a spot or not edge well, but hey, you get what you pay for, right? His crew was never there more than 5 minutes. I have Ring camera footage of that.
We bought a new house at the end of 2023 and moved to the new place, but haven't sold this house. We've been doing some work on the interior and trying to get it listed. I needed to sell, so I kept him maintaining the yard. He continued to invoice me, and I continued to pay. (Auto-pay, through my bank)
On May 23rd, I went over there to do some work, and the grass was knee high and had gone to seed. I was busy dealing with the house and contractors, so I didn't reach out to him at that time. By the end of June, and still nothing had been mowed, I finally reached out to him to find out what was going on. This is where the fun starts.
Apparently, he had a payment dispute with the HOA, and since he wasn't coming to the neighborhood to mow the park, he stopped mowing my lawn as well. It didn't stop him from invoicing me or cashing my checks... he just stopped mowing.
When I pressed him for answers, he just started gaslighting me. He told me that he mowed through the end of April, but the grass was crazy high and gone to seed 3 weeks into May. He read off the number of the last invoice he claims that he sent (end of April), and I read off the one that he sent at the end of May, then he changed his story and told me that check I sent in response to his invoice went to pay April's services. He claims he tried to get a hold of me, but I have no calls and only emails with invoices attached. He says he "dropped by" the (vacant) house a couple of times. Unfortunately, I moved the Ring camera to the new house in February.
His invoices say to pay by the 10th, and I pay most of my bills on the first because of payday, so I was always paying him in advance. Or rather, my check was being sent as his invoice was going out. Even more sketchy, his invoices don't say what they are for. Mine says, "monthly maintenance," without specifying what month, how many times, etc. (See pictures)
Bottom line:I figure I'm out for (minimum) 2 months of payment for services never rendered. That's (at least) $110. He's not interested in refunding me, and since the HOA dropped him, I'm not worth his time to come back and do the job that I've already paid him for.
He's a liar and gaslighter, and he's smug about it.
I hope he gets exactly what he deserves. -
Kimball Landscaping provided me a quote for laying down new soil and sod in my very small backyard. It was discussed that drainage had been a problem and that a sandier top soil would be laid down before the sod to assist with the drainage. This was in late summer. Fast forward 8 months and my backyard is worse than ever. While I admit my pets have not helped the situation they cannot possible be responsible for the slimey mess of standing water and dead grass in the middle of my yard. The massive amount of saturation in the top soil due to lack of drainage has suffocated the turf over 60% of my yard.
When I contacted Kimball Landscaping I had to leave a voicemail. This voicemail was not responded to for nearly three days. When I finally spoke to Kyle Kimball and told him what happened he denied us ever having had a conversation about drainage. He then further expressed that he and his company were not liable for the resulting issues with the yard. I expressed to him that I had NO intention to get him to fix the issue for free but I wanted him to take a look at it and was giving him a fair opportunity to make a good name for himself after the initial results I had seen. In a very disinterested fashion he said he would call me the following day to set up a meeting and take a look at the yard. That was nearly a week ago and I have yet to get a call. The exceptionally poor workmanship and the even worse professionalism force me to give Kyle and his business the lowest rating I available.
Please beware before using this company.
