JD's Pro Construction installed a brand new deck, in place of our original rotted one. Jimmy was busy on another project, however, he fit us in and still finished the deck in a timely manner. Jimmy is AWESOME! We hired him to build a 20x40' workshop with a loft on our property. This was a full ground-up construction project, from site prep & concrete slab to metal roofing, electrical, and plumbing. Jimmy was able to build everything I wanted, including some unusual requests like a full wall made of old windows and a large 20' sliding barn door! He is competent and doesn't take shortcuts. Jimmy works on time and on budget (if he had to take time off, he always let me know. With his quote process, you always know what you will be paying). I would highly recommend Jimmy (and his brother Kelly); he really takes great pride in his work.

Colin Maxwell was the best human ever! He made time for us and honestly could sell me anything! Very polite and knowledgeable!

Speaking as a homeowner NOT a board member I wish we had the 15 more votes that the declarant required to get rid of the corporate care. The Enfingers, not the board, required that 51% of ENTIRE neighborhood number (354) vote against in order to even consider it or they would essentially veto any possible change. I was really hopeful that we would get the quorum plus the 51% number of total houses votes needed against (178) to cancel the corporate care, but that did not happen. It was a big ask and I personally am disappointed.

-As a board member I know we were up front with the numbers required and had there been 15 more votes (against), rather than (for) corporate care that Facebook would be celebrating the advisory vote results. I was personally a big advocate. Trust me I would be one of the ones celebrating, so find me walking around or message me to talk outside after work and I’ll try to discuss it…but I’m not doing it all on here. I personally vouch to you that the process was protected to the fullest we could.

Wren helped build us a fantastic house. The agents Deanne and Leah were fantastic as well as Ronin the construction manager. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase!

I suppose Wren had my previous review removed as the continued to push me to take it down but I’m here to make sure others are warned about the experience they can expect from Wren. We had numerous ( 30 plus ) issues with our home and Wren regularly failed to communicate with us and failed to complete work to an acceptable standard. They also were incredibly rude and unprofessional in almost every interaction with them. My wife and I have moved a lot over the years and Wren provided the worst experience by far.

I'm in the process of having a WrEn home built in the Midtowne on the Park subdivision.
First, let me say that the site manager Angie is awesome. I have some pro's and con's about the process thus far.
Pro's: Everyone is nice and a pleasure to work with.The finishes and fixtures are very high end and sleek. The attention to detail is immaculate. Your house comes with a alarm panel and door sensors. If you start the process from the beginning you get to custom build your house(you just can't change outer walls).
Con's: Once cabinets go in you can not make any changes, these even includes paint options. I wish that someone on the staff would call the respective internet service providers that are all ready in the developed subdivisions, once the side walks are laid to ask them to come and run internet lines. As of now, I have a pooling of water on the left side of my under contract house. I noticed the pooling the day after the gutter were put up.
I'll come back and update once I go through the complete process. Thus far it has been a smooth process.

I purchased my Wren home while living in Massachusetts in early December of 2021. At that time, the Wren team set a schedule for the walkthroughs, home inspection, and new home presentation. The goal was to have everything buttoned up on January 8, 2020, in time for the January 11th closing. The builder did not meet any of the promised dates. I came down to Alabama the weekend of December 12, 2020, to do a house walkthrough. That inspection produced a long list of visual deficiencies that I provided to my realtor and the builder’s realtor. After that initial walkthrough, we had our home inspection and our blue tape to finalize the long list of repairs. In short, 75% of the repairs did not happen until January 10th and the morning of the 11th.
Our closing was pushed back to allow the builder time to fix items that were identified in December. The builder was not even aware of the remaining items until I showed up with my family on January 9th and pointed out the laundry list of issues remaining. In the end, we were left to accept a home with five official items remaining to be fixed. However, because we only had an hour between the final home presentation and closing, I felt pressured to accepted several other low craftsmanship items. The paint on the kitchen cabinets is cracking, an unsafe installation of an outside light switch, improper repair of the fireplace, large scratch on the front door, residual mortar all over the bathroom floor and fireplace, sprinklers buried in the ground, and the outside of the house was left filthy.
I give the construction team credit for getting a bunch of the issues fixed the day prior/to the closing. However, it should never come down to the last minute when they had a month lead time. In 2013, I purchased a new home back in Massachusetts, and the experience was ultimately the opposite of this purchase. I had zero stress, and the process was a pleasure from start to finish. In contrast, my experience with Wren home was the most stressful financial transaction of my life. In the end, I needed a way to put all of the stress I experienced buying this house behind me so I can move forward. I pray this helps another family make the right decision when selecting a builder. I can 100% relate to Corey’s experience, as I felt like reading my own story. When the same information comes from two people who’ve never met, there might be some truth to the experience.

Update:
The Project Management team and the owner came out and went through the house. We came up with a list of repair work that would happen on a Friday and Monday. The cabinet company, painter, and fan contractor came out on Friday. The fan guy put weight on and was gone in 5 minutes without fixing the issue. The painter painted 1/4 of the side of my house the wrong color. Now I have a brand new house with multi color siding. As far as I can see there is zero oversight on the contractors that are making the repairs. More to follow.

Safety Update: My closet started falling apart last night because they didn't sink anchors in the wall. Instead, they used nails. Yes, they used nails to fix a shelf with hanger bar to the wall. Check you closest if you have kids. It's been 3 weeks since my closets started falling apart and they still haven't fixed it. The same thing happened to my neighbor and he said it took months of badgering them to get it fixed. Buyer beware, Wren Homes will fight and bully you every step of the way on repairs.

Wren just completed a new build for us in Midtowne and we are VERY pleased with our new house! Perfection is nearly impossible to achieve in projects like this, but I give them 5 stars anyway. The end result is beautiful and a home that we are SO very proud of!
Yes - there were quite a few items we noted on our blue-tape walkthrough, but they made corrections and repairs very quickly. We closed and moved in last week (December 2022) and there are a couple of little nits that they are still working on (even after closing), but nothing major. Six months ago they projected that we’d close by the end of November and they got it done within less than 3 weeks of their projection. In this building supply and labor environment, I think that’s extraordinary!!
The building site manager (Colin) is a pleasure to work with - always friendly, and he made time for us even when I know he had other pressing matters to deal with. Same for the wren agents at the model home (Deanne and Leah).
I would totally work with them all again. That should tell you all you need to know!
