I really wanted to have a good experience with Hiller, but unfortunately, I’ve given them two chances and both times were disappointing.

The first was two years ago, when I asked for help moving a water softener I had purchased (elsewhere) in 2020 for $2,124. Hiller quoted me $2,129 just to uninstall and reinstall it at a new home — more than I originally paid for the entire system. I ended up getting the job done for $100.

I recently gave them a second chance, but once again, their quote came in extremely high — $2,098, which was 249% higher than a competing quote from Blake Brothers for the exact same work ($842.62).

Almost worse than the price was the attitude. The Hiller electrician first told me the job was “impossible” and listed excuse after excuse about why it would be difficult. He seemed annoyed and reluctant throughout the visit, and I finally asked if he even wanted to do the job. In contrast, Blake Brothers approached it with professionalism and a great attitude, working with me to find a solution without hesitation.

At the end of the day, actions speak louder than words. I can’t justify paying more than double for the same work with mediocre customer service and a dismissive attitude.

Kenny replaced the pressure regulator and cutoff valve to fix our leak. He knew exactly what needed to be done, and had us back up in a couple hours. He also buried everything back like new.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, because if you do, you might think Michael was on his way to homeroom instead of your house. When i got the notification from Hiller that Michael was on his way, they included such a nice photo to introduce their lead technician. When I saw this I was slightly concerned someone had borrowed their dad’s work van for the week. But don’t let his youthful appearance fool you— this professional seriously knows HVAC inside and out.

We did a whole new HVAC system, going from a single unit to 2 units. There was a good bit of design work and consideration that went into this project to produce both a well functional system that also looked good and paired well with our interior and exterior esthetics. You might have a hard time finding someone as passionate and proud of their work in this industry, and honestly Michael should be proud of it, because his is truly impressive. His performance felt more in line with a company owner rather than an hourly employee…I hope Hiller understands the talent they have here.

The professionalism, communication, knowledge, and skill he showed was next level. Michael’s work photo my pass for 16 but he works like he’s been in the trade for atleast that long. By the time he left, my house was coolest it’s been since we moved in, my faith in humanity was restored, and I was half expecting him to ask me to sign his yearbook.

Highly recommend. If this is what the “next generation” of HVAC looks like, then the future is in good hands.
