I really appreciate the care and professionalism that Tanner shows when cleaning my carpets, area rugs, and upholstery. He always arrives a bit early and comes prepared with everything needed to keep my home tidy while he works. I’ve used other carpet cleaners before, but they usually leave my carpets soaked, which takes forever to dry. That’s never a problem here—the carpets are left just damp and dry quickly. One time, my grand dog had an accident and left a dark brown mess on my light beige carpet. I thought for sure the stain would never come out. Tanner explained what he could do and got right to work. He was honest that there was no guarantee, but after he finished, you couldn’t even tell there had ever been a stain. It really helped that I called right away, but I’m convinced Tanner is an expert at tough stain removal. I won’t have anyone else clean my carpets, rugs, or upholstery. The results always impress me, and the service is friendly and reliable.

i wish we found top berkeley carpet cleaners years ago when we first moved into our home in berkeley. i'm so happy we found them before giving up on my carpets and big wool rug, since i thought i would have to replace them. as brandon explained, the carpet wasn't actually worn out—it just looked bad from dirt and wear. we ordered a carpet rake that day and got it today, along with extra vacuum filters. brandon shared a lot of helpful info, and now with regular cleaning, vacuuming, and raking, our carpets look great and i don't have to spend thousands replacing them. after brandon did his cleaning, vacuuming, and testing, our carpet looked about 80% better right away. their service is definitely worth it for the money it saves. i already told a few friends in berkeley about them.

I never leave google reviews, but this experience was pretty egregious, so I thought I'd take a few minutes to warn people. I had my rug cleaned by these folks about a month ago. I was told that I needed to pay for the premium service ($140 for an 8 ft. round rug) for my rug to be fully cleaned - I wanted odor and dirt removed and of course, for it to look clean. I'd say the rug was medium dirty, kinda grungy, but the person didn't seem to think it'd be a problem considering I was paying for the highest service offered.

After the rug was "cleaned" I noticed a few days later that the smell was not completely gone, and when I was trying to flatten a warped section of it I noticed that there was visible grime on my hands just from moving it. So, not clean, odor not removed, and now my rug is warped.

I tried very hard to give them a chance to make it better - I called on 5 different occasions over the last month. Every time I was told that the manager would call me back, which they never did. A couple times I was actually hung up on when I tried to slow the person down who answered the phone to tell them that no one had responded to my calls. The last time I called I told them that if I didn't hear back, I would share my review online - so here we are. I would not recommend them, as now I have to find another carpet cleaner and pay them for the same service I was promised here.

two stars because the person who came the first time was timely and polite enough, and also I personally tend to dismiss one star reviews so make of that what you will :p

I was long overdue in writing this review. I needed help with some pet-stained carpet in my house, as my cat had been peeing in hidden spots and nothing I used could really get rid of the stains or the smell. That’s when I decided to call a carpet cleaning service in Berkeley. Brandon arrived on time and got straight to work. He did an incredible job! I honestly thought I would have to replace the carpet, but he managed to clean all the problem areas. Brandon also put down some carpet protector in another room where I was worried about future pet accidents. It worked so well that when a relative’s dog had an accident, the liquid stayed on top of the carpet, making it easy to clean up before it could soak in. Brandon was understanding about the pet issues, very friendly, and most importantly, he made the carpets look and smell fresh again. I highly recommend their carpet cleaning service.

david, tanner & brandon did an amazing job cleaning the carpets in our new home. the place had lots of cat hair and several cat urine stains, but they spent a lot of time deep cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing to get everything fresh again. i really appreciated their honesty when they told me that a few chairs were too damaged by urine to be cleaned, and they didn't charge me for those. i'll definitely call them again because they went above and beyond what we expected. great job to david for showing so much pride in the work. we will recommend them to anyone looking for excellent carpet cleaning.

Top Berkeley Carpet Cleaners has cleaned my carpets, rugs, and couches several times. Every visit, David does a fantastic job and is always professional. After the cleaning, my upholstery and carpets feel like new, even with pets in the house. When I have an urgent mess, like a pet accident, David is quick to help and does his best to fit me in. He works really hard, and I would recommend this service to anyone who wants their home to look and feel refreshed.

They charged me 160.00 bucks just to wet my carpets and not clean them this is what they look like after drying since sunday i was told to let them dry naturally and if there was a problem they will come back out and deal with it becauseof the price i paid even tho i was quoted 79.00 for 2 rooms insteadof the 160.00 i had to pay....I was given no receipt as promised or text ..then I called today to let them know my carpets were horrible and I'm still waiting for a call back ...I guess we will see what happens

Terrible costumer service!!! Waste of time! Do not book because I had an appointment from 8-11am and had to call at 10:55am because no one called or came. Than they connected with the technician and he had an attitude like I was outside for 20 mins and about to leave. The technician never called to say they were outside. Than he came unprepared to do the cleaning when I explained I’m moving and need it done that day. Than they told me from 4-5pm and they never came back. I called and said they will call me back and never did. Rude and just a waste of time

i chose Top Berkeley Carpet Cleaners after reading great reviews. i was happy to get a carpet cleaning appointment the very next day. we just moved into a home where the carpets had not been cared for, and even though we want to change the floors eventually, there was a lot of dirt showing in busy areas. grant texted me before arriving, came right on time, and did an amazing job. i couldn't have asked for a more detailed and thorough carpet cleaning, and the price was really good! grant and his teammate were both professional and knew a lot about cleaning carpets. i already told them i'd be calling again in six months if we haven't updated the floors by then. i highly recommend this company for carpet cleaning.
