ME Development built 2 ADUs for my family at our duplex in LA. Dealing with the city and the inspectors was complicated but they handled it professionally and dealt with every curveball the city threw at the project. Like every construction project, we hit some engineering issues and some change orders that were necessary. They we incredibly fair on the pricing of each change and the project came in very near to the original budget.
Even though the plans were complete, there were a number of times where they used their expertise to recommend subtle changes that really enhanced our project. Their workers did a great job on cabinets, tiling and flooring and the ADUs look great. Many of our neighbors have come by to admire the job and now they want to build an ADU in their yards.
I would absolutely recommend ME Development to anyone considering building any kind of project or remodel at their home. It isn't always the case that a homeowner gets along with their contractor but this group is really the exception to the rule.
Don't waste your time with other contractors. Their work is high quality and their pricing is very reasonable. I will be using them again in the future and looking forward to it.

We just finished building a 2-bedroom ADU in Beverlywood with M.E. Development, Inc. – ADU Builders, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. They truly handled everything from start to finish — design, permits, and construction — and delivered on time, which we really appreciated; only FIVE MONTHS!

I saw one of his other just completed ADUs before we started, and discussed implementing a lot of the design from that unit, and planned together how to custom design ours, to our needs. I was impressed with Gil’s creativity, flexibility and impeccable taste. All throughout he helped me choose great quality fixtures, hardware and supplies, while looking for the most economical way to get it done.

We built the ADU, for our newly married daughter and Son-in-law, and it turned out beautiful — modern, spacious, and super functional. Fast-Track Construction has avoided payment for multiple project which we have been working with them on. It has been impossible to get an answer from them and they continue to treat me and my employees with disrespect and dishonesty.

We have had the unfortunate experience of working with this company for several of our projects. It was an overall bad experience. The CEO, Richard, was rude, inappropriate, and would not issue payment. We ended up having to file a stop notice on two of our jobs with this client. We will not be working with them again.

This company produces horrible quality of work! I am an elementary school teacher and they have been installing new AC/Heater systems in our buildings since August. It is now almost March and 7 months later, my classroom still does not have a functioning unit. Students have had to sit in 50 degree classrooms during the winter. The school has contacted them and they have not been able to rectify the problem. I am not the only classroom! Hundreds of students have had to endure cold classrooms while this company is gladly taking the district's money. Warm weather is approaching and we will not have AC. I DO NOT recommend you hire this company for any work!

I’m writing this as an investor who trusted Ryan and his contracting company for a flip project. I’ve worked with many contractors over the years, and this has been one of the most disappointing and costly experiences I’ve had.

Ryan presented himself as someone who understood investment timelines, budgets, and resale standards — but the reality was the opposite. The property ended up being severely overcharged, and the work that was done did not come close to matching what I paid for. A lot of it looked good from a distance, but once tenants moved in, the problems started showing up one after another. It became clear that the work was rushed and sloppy, more focused on appearances than actual quality.

Because of this, the flip stalled and I couldn’t sell the property the way I planned. Instead of moving on to the next project, I ended up dealing with repeated repairs, tenant complaints, and financial losses that could have easily been avoided if the job had been done properly from the start.

I’m sharing this because I don’t want another investor — or homeowner — to go through what I did. If you’re looking for someone reliable, transparent, and capable of delivering quality work, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me.
