General Contractor reviews in Emeryville, California

This company works in cahoots with Bridgewater Emeryville to screw tenants out of their security deposits. They have a sketchy move-out practice in place where they will charge egregious amounts for items that do not require fixing at all such as "updating towel holders". They robbed us of over $1000 on baseless garbage. I wouldn't trust them with any other services if this is how they conduct themselves with a simple move-out.

6Hammers recently finished a major repair of an upper balcony at my home and the job was done in a timely manner and with beautiful results. I would highly recommend 6Hammers as a professional and reliable construction Company.

We recently worked with Michael & his team on a hardwood floor replacement project for our rental unit at Emeryville. Michael responded to our questions timely and was able to provide all the documentations required by our HOA. The work was done in great quality. We are happy with the final results.

Michael of 6 Hammers and his team workers have been helping the reconstruction jobs for one of the rental properties I’ve managed in Concord, He has provided a very detailed outlines prior to starting the works, his team workers have arrived the project site on time and professionally doing their jobs without any supervision.
It’s a reconstruction works due to roof leaking causing the ceiling & walls extensive damages in one bedroom. His worker did point out roof was still leaking after we have roofer repaired the 1st time, and thanks for the worker’s help, we found out the exactly leaking spot on the roof and finish the final roof repairs and finished all the reconstruction project. I want to thank you Michael and his team workers for doing the excellent & professional job within my client’s budget.

Our experience began with an unexpected flood in January 2025, when we came home to find a burst valve under the sink had caused 1.5 to 2 inches of water throughout our entire first floor. As anyone who’s been through a home disaster knows, it’s an incredibly stressful experience that can test your patience and resilience.

Following the remediation, we were referred to 6 Hammers by a colleague. From the beginning, Michael impressed us with his honesty and transparency. He walked us through our options and clearly explained the potential risks involved—particularly the chance we might lose the granite countertops that had just been preserved.

Thankfully, Michael and his team handled everything with precision and skill. They replaced insulation, installed additional storage under the stairs (a smart suggestion from the remediation team), repaired drywall, plastered, painted, rebuilt cabinets, and even reattached kitchen and bathroom plumbing. Every detail was addressed with care, and their craftsmanship shows throughout our home.

This project took five months from start to finish, and we couldn’t be happier with the results, and they managed to SAVE OUR granite countertops. The transformation has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for the professionalism, honesty, and quality work delivered by both teams.
