Small Appliance reviews in Los Angeles, California

Rancilio Silvia has some internal wiring fried and I was tired of drinking drip coffee so it's repair time.
Dave and the team got the machine up and running in no time. Worth the wait and superb service.
Thank you HiTech Espresso! 🤙 -

Dave and Hitechespresso did a great job installing a PID on my Rancilio. Good work, reasonable price, and good service. Hard to beat that. Thanks Hitechespresso! Ken

Owner said he would repair my grinder, then changed his mind, sight unseen. Flaky. Will not call again.
-
Couldn't fix my machine after several months. Owner is rude. In a basement, nothing looks sanitary. Avoid at all cost.
-
David, Otto and the 3rd guy (forgot his name) are very informative and helpful. They are the foremost experts in home espresso machines in LA.
-
Lack of professionalism and knowledge. Very surprised there are any good reviews.
Response to owner: Not a fake review a genuine warning to others. The fact that 1/3 of your reviews are 1 star speaks for itself. Take the criticism and re-evaluate your business model and attitude. -
true experts when it comes to espresso machine repair and cleaning/maintenance. they gave me guidance about what water to use for my machine to prevent scale build-up (Crystal Geyser), as well as showed me how to remove my water tank for cleaning.

Worst experience ever! We had to call Philips Saeco about our experience. This company works out of a basement of a house and we couldn't have had a creepier experience! The quote was way too expensive to repair our Saeco Grand Barista machine and he made us come and get it right away or he would throw it away. I would avoid this creepy experience altogether.

I am flabbergasted with the good reviews. Maybe he can fix an espresso machine but this man was extremely rude and condescending. He works out of his home, so I knocked on side door with his business name on it. Nothing. I knock again. Nothing. I knock a third time. I then barely hear him yelling from the basement window to come in. I walk in with my 7 year old daughter and he is, standing about 15 feet from the door, remarks in the rudest way that the "BUSINESS SIGN IS ON THE DOOR", (which I supposed means that I am to just walk into his basement). This was my first (and last) time here, so I did not know the protocol was to just enter his personal property. I usually knock before entering someone's home. He then snarks "SORRY, MY GREETER IS NOT HERE TODAY". At this point I explain to him I was apprehensive to just enter his private residence, which is why I knocked, but he then repeats "BUT THE BUSINESS SIGN IS ON THE DOOR". He is clearly being extremely rude and antagonistic. I was stunned. I then said "okay" and left immediately. The worst part is that all of this bad behavior is in front of my 7 year old daughter, who I then had to explain why we left so abruptly. My only guess is to why he is still in business is because he's one of the very few espresso repair shops in LA. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to a shop who treats their customers (or just people for that matter) with respect. Please do not give this man your business.

I own a Londonium Espresso Machine ($3,000.00 machine) and I brought it in to be repaired. Hi-Tech Espresso charged me over $900 to fix it, which took about three weeks to complete once they got parts which took two weeks to order from England. I'm cool with that as I know they are very busy with repairs. I got the machine, and it worked for about a week then it stopped working again. I brought it back to be fixed and they couldn't find a solution saying the machine is a Lemon. So I am out $900 with a machine that once worked perfectly. I cannot afford to pay someone $900 to attempt to fix my machine. Thats just wrong.
