I am quite satisfied with my experience with Black Diamond Pavers of Monterey. Our point person was Chris Supinski. I cannot recommend him enough. He took our unique design for our backyard and made a reality. Chris was professional, easy to work with, patient, and flexible. Communication was great. Our backyard was just a sand lot on a new construction home. We called upon Black Diamond to create, design, and landscape the backyard and garden (with irrigation system). Additionally, we asked Frances and her team to put it a fire pit, freestanding wall, and planter next to the garden. They exceeded our expectations! Frances and her team were very courteous, reliable, honest, and communicative. She helped us through every aspect of the project, from selecting low maintenance plants to choosing pattern and color for the cobblestone hardscape. Just finished with an amazing front and back yard transformation of our family home in Pebble Beach. Worked directly with Frances Krebs who was wonderful and patient with creating the perfect design. The job was completed in a timely manner and the foreman, Arturo and his crew were very professional. I had Black Diamond install pavers in my front yard. It looks great and I have had a lot of compliments.Robert Beneshan came out and gave me an estimate. He was friendly and answered all my questions. Ismael and the crew were hard working and friendly—great job! They even worked in the rain. They came back and fixed some sand that had washed out without any problem.

My wife and I spent the two years since we moved into our house in Marina, CA, thinking about what to do about our backyard. We obtained a bid from one local landscaping company. When we received their proposal, we realized they had not listened very well to what we wanted. We were then referred by a friend to Frances Krebs at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscaping.

Frances met with us and listened closely to what we wanted and didn’t want. Her proposal was pretty much spot on. She provided invaluable guidance on selecting the pavers that complemented the color palette of our back yard (Belgard Avalon Slate, Bella). We were delighted with the selection of plants she chose. Frances is a Monterey area resident, and she is very familiar with the climate and soil in our area. All in all she helped create exactly what we wanted from the barest concept we initially expressed.

We anticipated the demolition and installation process would be noisy, dirty and disruptive. However, job foreman Suri and his crew did everything they could to minimize the disruption. We appreciated that to the maximum extent the crew used electric powered tools as opposed to noisy gasoline powered ones. Frances checked on the progress of the job throughout. The entire process was completed on schedule and exactly as specified. Their attention to detail was remarkable. Black Diamond has a relatively large footprint in this state. Having a a local contact who could be on site within minutes was essential to the success of the undertaking.

In projects like this there can be an unfortunate difference between cost and value. That was certainly not the case with Black Diamond. While not the low price option, they epitomized the old saying, “You get what you pay for.” We would not hesitate recommending Black Diamond’s services to anyone seeking a quality landscape project.

We had a great experience with Frances and Reyes from Black Diamond pavers! Frances was so easy to work with and she put my mind at ease from the first meeting. We had nothing but sand in our backyard and she designed something so beautiful! Reyes did a great job with the work and together they make a great team. The work was done in a little over a week which is fast. When our project was compete they had to tweak a couple things and they worked with me until it looked perfect and my husband and I really appreciated that. We will definitely be calling them again for any other landscape projects down the road. I wholeheartedly recommend Black Diamond. They transformed my bare bones backyard into a beautiful, functional space. Frances Krebs designed the plan with our lifestyle and personal taste in mind, creating a delightful garden that will provide us enjoyment for years. Suri and Carlos are master masons and landscape gardeners who work very hard and efficiently. They accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time. Their work is excellent. We interviewed several contractors and Black Diamond was our choice due to their professionalism, expertise, quality, and customer service. Project Design Specialist, Robert, designed our front and back yards but listened to our input and instituted those in his design. He is truly a professional and there were no egos involved. He did a yeoman’s job in dealing with our city building department and made numerous changes they requested. Crew Foreman, Alfredo, and his team did a great job in executing the design. They were always prompt, worked hard, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Quality of work shows their commitment.
Robert was always available to answer our questions (nights, weekends, holidays) and made sure things were right and going smoothly. He truly is customer focused . We are looking forward to using our backyard with the amazing landscape, barbecue island, gas fire pit, and pergola.

Wonderful company to work with. Stephanie did a beautiful job of designing our yard. Couldn't have asked for two harder working landscapers than Ismail and Raul. We have a septic tank in that park of the yard and Ismail came up with the perfect solution to keeping access to it

Five stars for Black Diamond. We were looking for a special design to transform our sand dune backyard into our dream backyard. Of three designs we received, Frances Krebs was the most professional, creative and detail oriented. Her design fulfilled our vision and the execution by her crew led by Ismael and Raul, made our dream come true. Frances (Black Diamond) was the only one of the three companies from which we received designs who was able to build 25 paver stairs and a walkway up the sand dune and create a platform for our view of the golf course and Monterey Bay. Frances and her crew were always punctual, responsible, skillful, considerate and professional. They were able to accomplish all we asked for. Black Diamond, with Frances as the designer and project manager, was definitely the right choice.

They did amazing yard work including trimming and weeding. Highly recommend.

Mr Silverio Juárez and his team do excellent and efficient work. He transformed our weedy front yard to a low water and maintenance environment. Mr Juarez has a landscape designer eye and knows his craft. He’s also knows stone work and is creative with that talent. We will hire him and his team again for our back yard.
