Electrical contractors in Salinas should know that CED sells previous used electrical parts as new and does not accept returns. CED has bad customer service with a smile. Learn from my mistake and go to Edges Electrical or Platt because they have more knowledgeable employees and better customer service.

Carlos came over Saturday night as an emergency call due to a vehicle whom damaged our electrical service pole over and was able to fix the issue under the circumstances of it raining and restored the power for our restaurant ! Great Guy very attentive & respectful. We would highly recommend and contact again!

We had electrical problems for awhile and multiple electricians could not figure out what was wrong. This was our last resort before considering just rewiring the whole house.

The team was very polite and friendly. They were able to identify the problem and fixed it the same day. My house is old and the wiring is wonky so this was a LOT of work. At the end, I was a little worried how much this was going to cost but the price was very reasonable.

The customer service here is unmatched by any other place around. My husband has recently started a business in the Bay Area and has tried all of the electrical supply houses and now won’t go anywhere but here. Aaron has unmatched customer service and knowledge and I wouldn’t suggest going anywhere but platt in Salinas because of him. We feel valued as customer and Aaron goes above and beyond with each request. Would very highly suggest over any other supple company.

I would like to acknowledge the outstanding customer service I received earlier this afternoon when I went into the Platt Electric Supply Store located in Salinas, California. Earlier my wife had tried to turn on the heater in our house and told me that it would not start. The whole house heater is 30 years old and I thought to myself that I didn’t need an unexpected large expense just before Christmas. Knowing nothing about heaters I removed the face grill and started pulling on wires to see if there was maybe a loose connection. I got lucky as I spotted a wire where the insulation in the middle had melted away partially and exposed the stranded wire which was somewhat intact but heavily corroded. I uncoupled this wire and was going to try and splice it when I decided that it was better to replace it. I went to the local hardware store but they didn’t have 18-gauge wire so I went to another hardware store and no luck there either. So as a last resort I went to an electrical supply store called the Platt Electric Supply Store. The lone salesperson was real busy multitasking as he was on his computer and dealing with two telephone conversations at one time. I waited for a couple of minutes until a gentleman walked in from the outside and asked me if he could help me. He introduced himself as Aaron and shook my hand after which I explained my situation and handed him the damaged wire. He read the information printed in tiny letters on this wire and began checking his inventory. He asked me how much wire I needed and I told him maybe a foot or two at the most. He told me that they sell wire in bulk but he would try and see what he could do to help me out. He spent quite a bit of time on his computer but couldn’t find the specific type of wire I needed or an alternative as the wire had to withstand the heat generated by 600 volts. This wiring had some sort of special insulation as everything in his inventory would end of melting. He told me that he would call his supplier and see if they first had the specific wire and inquire about getting a foot or two sample sent to them. I was impressed by the service I was getting from Aaron even though he knew I wasn’t going to be spending a lot of money since I only need a foot or two of this wire to fix my heater. After spending some time on the telephone, he told me that his supplier had the wiring needed but they would only sell it in bulk and would not send him a sample of the wire. I thank him and went back home and spliced the wire back together. The heater is working but for how much longer I don’t know.

called to have them run some wire from front door to back room and install doorbell..all wire was to be run in attic with plenty of room to move..they told me they dont do that type of work,,duh..so i dont recommend you use them because they might say there electricians, they pick and chose what they will do for you
