We engaged Westward to excavate and replace the concrete around our pool and patio. The large area was cracked and uneven, so it was not only unattractive, it had poor drainage and was unsafe. This was not a little job! The Westward leadership team was professional and transparent about what to expect in terms of the effort and cost. In a matter of 14 days, the team completely demolished and removed tons of concrete, graded the surface and installed rebar, and installed improved drainage systems. They then poured 3 truck tanks of concrete and created a beautifully designed surface across the entire back yard. Every person on the team was professional and took pride in their work. They protected and respected all the surrounding landscaping elements and cleaned up meticulously at the end of each day. From the first sales call with Rob, throughout the many days of the job with Walter and Jon and the whole team, every interaction with Westward was a pleasure. We are so happy with the results, and can’t recommend Westward highly enough!

Is it that difficult to park straight? When i said something to the person in the car they didnt give a damn. Car after car wanting the spot... frustrating when you see someone do that. They dont care about anyone else.

Westward Builders just finished a wonderful construction for a new studio on a hillside. A big part of the job was excavating the hillside and build a huge retaining wall.
We did not even dream that it could go so smoothly and be so aesthetically pleasant. The wall is a real piece of art and the look is very trendy. Somebody told us that it is very hard to find somebody in San Francisco to do this design .
Terry Keast gave us the best proposal for the job and he kept the expenses very close to the allocated budget even though he had to do more work that planned at the beginning.
His crew was very skilled and efficient. All the workers were delightful, hardworking, punctual and discreet. They worked hard to save as many plants as possible when choosing the path for the heavy equipment.
The job was done professionally and in a timely manner. The result is so stunning that even the inspector was amazed and opened big eyes in admiration when he came to check.
As you suspect, we highly recommend Westward Builders. Our next door neighbor already hired him for a job.

We had an unfortunate leak in our house coming from our old driveway. Michael and the team did a great job diagnosing the issues and getting the solution built. I really appreciated how he kept us well informed throughout the work.

I contracted with Westward after two neighbors used them for drainage projects. They came highly rated and delivered as promised.
We had a failed retaining wooden wall, and water going under our house. We also pushed back into a hill by about 5-8 feet. This was not a small project.
Westward stuck to budget, outside of some unforeseen circumstances (additional permits from the city, etc). When we had requests for certain things, they never fell on deaf ears. If they couldn't do something we wanted, we were given explanations as to why.
Everyone from our foreman Orlando and his crew to the folks at the office are great, we had a very good experience and I would use Westward again for any projects that required their services.

This project was to restore a pretty steep hill with hundreds of steel piers back to its original state. I had a good experience working with Westward Builders, I ended up selecting them after getting several quotes primarily because Michael was great to talk with when reviewing my project and worked with me to come up with a good solution in short order. I was happy to have him be attentive and thoughtful about a pretty small job (1 day, $2k) rather than get the B string or sales push from a bigger outfit who wouldn't care.

The carpenters who came to do the work were similarly good to work with and both suggested ways to improve the job and listened to my asks. They cleaned up well too.

McLean Roofing came to the rescue when they quickly and efficiently installed a new roof on my clients home. We needed it to happen fast and they were happy to make it happen. When they discovered damage to the underlying roof structure, they notified us immediately and provided a quote so we could make an on-the-spot decision. I have added McLeran Roofing to my list of trustworthy and competent contractors.
