Jacob Sessing and Alternative Energy Solutions were referred to us by a friend. What a great referral! Jake was prompt and very knowledgeable in this area. He installed a Tesla battery for those times when there are power shut-offs. He also installed a new breaker box and labeled the switches for us. Jake guided us every step of this process with permits and inspections. He showed us how to use the app to monitor our equipment. Whenever we had questions, Jake promptly responded. I had contracted Alternative Energy Solutions to install a Wall Connector and I'm very happy with the end product. He took the time to walk through different installation options, the benefits and downsides of each which helped me make an informed decision on what connector to use for my car. I could not be happier that I found Jake and AES. We have numerous solar panels and two Tesla Powerwalls. To say that our previous installer butchered the installation and electrical work is putting it kindly. Here is a summary of my experience with Jake:

1) Responsive: I found AES on the Tesla website as a recommended provider. Given AES's placement on the website, I left messages with 3 or 4 other companies before calling Jake. Jake returned my call instantly which is a lost art form these days. No one else even had the decency to respond. He also came out to the house to view the job within a couple of days and had a quote in my inbox shortly after that.

2) Honest: Solar technology is WAY above my paygrade. Jake could have easily upsold me on equipment and technology that we didn't need. Instead, he did the exact opposite. He went out of his way to tell us that we shouldn't replace certain equipment at this time to save money.

3) Work Quality: Jake and his team did an amazing job, restoring our Tesla Gateway 1 when it fell offline (I understand tech, had spoken to Tesla and they could not figure it out), swapping out metallic pipes with PVC, firming up our panels which were bracketed incorrectly, and he cleaned up much of the shoddy electrical work on the roof and in our main panel that prior electricians mangled. He was also very courteous and cleaned up after himself.

4) Price: Jake gave us a quote and he honored it to the penny. No overruns. No excuses for more money.

We have gone through many electricians in the twelve years we have lived in Oxnard, but, for the first time, I found someone who is honest, reliable and extremely competent. I had an amazing experience with this company. I was assisted by Jacob with installation of a Tesla universal Charger for my home. Jacob was very knowledgeable of these chargers which resulted in a nice , smooth installation of the unit. It was also done very quickly with great quality!
