FYI, Solar Advocates is essentially a front for this scam of a company. They claim to work with city officials to streamline the process, claim they're just having you sign for permits, and then you suddenly find you've signed a contract with 1Solar (who are never even mentioned) and in the fine print there's only 3 days to renege by mail. 1SOLAR AND SOLAR ADVOCATES ARE A SCAM. Start with your city's recommended solar partners and go from there. I guarantee 1Solar isn't one of them.

Quinn Burns did a great job, every thing was plumb and level. The conduit was ran very professional and looks great. This was a worry for me after seeing other installs throughout the community, that had been installed poorly and not straight or level. Thank you for the professionalism and quality in work.

Door knocker implied they were with the local energy company so i set an apppintment. Salesman has no idea the cost of anything, had no experience in solar other than sales. when he proposed a price i countered with the cost of the system currently sold at CED the young man had no idea and kept eluding to the cost of the system being more than i expect... i install panels for a living, dont trust soft handed men

Ezra has been wonderful and has exceeded expectations! And has been the fastest and most helpful person in this process we've had for over a year. Great communication with him. He is able to get the tasks done quickly, which is very appreciated. Ezra is very understanding and professional. I highly recommend him to anybody needing help.

Don’t do it, Don’t do it, Don’t do it!

This is by far the worst experience with a company I have ever had. I’ve been dealing with solar1 since April… solar panels still not operating and it’s September! I’ve talked with several customer service reps, Michelle H and Matt S and still NOTHING! Nobody can give me answers! This is ridiculous. I’m about to start paying through my loan and panels are not operational….. Again since APRIL. The absolute worst communication. My friends and neighbors went with other companies and as an average they had their panels up and running within 4 weeks. Not solar1….we are going on 5 months!!! 100% unacceptable! Do not go with 1solar! If I could leave negative stars I would.

DO NOT BUY!!!! SCAM!!! Door-to-door salesman was very untruthful about the contract. After the panels were installed (late), they became almost impossible to reach on the phone. After several attempts and finally getting someone on the phone.They were unprofessional and unhelpful, making claims that they had filled paperwork with excel. Well, after a quick call to excel they hadn't received anything from 1solar. So long story short Do Not Buy from this company! one paid they will disappear.

One solar was very easy and great to work with. Was introduced to 1 solar by Jarod Anderson with Tycho Energy. Jarod really made it simple throughout the whole process. He answered all my questions and helped me with any concerns or problems. He is very responsive in getting back to you. I highly recommend Jarod for any 1 solar install.

This is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I have been waiting for my system to be up and working since APRIL 2022. It is now October 2022 and I have been paying on my solar panels for 2 months now. I have over 100 email, text and phone calls. They rarely respond if ever. I have had every excuse imaginable from 1solar and still our solar panels are not up and running. DO NOT USE 1SOLAR. You will get the same run around and same excuses or they will stop responding all together. I have an appointment with a lawyer next week. This is so ridiculous. I have caught them in lies. My electrical company CORE came out to get system up and running. 1solar had to be there and they had an appointment.... 1solar didn't show. 1solar stated CORE cancelled however, CORE sent me the email thread. It, as usual was 1solar that didn't show or let CORE know. Electrical company couldn't finish their end because of this. I haven't heard anything from 1solar since. I'm sure I will get some ridiculous response to this review. If you read them they are all the same canned response. DO NOT USE 1SOLAR....DO NOT USE 1SOLAR....DO NOT USE 1SOLAR!!!! You will regret it. As I stated this company should be out of business. I have NEVER been treated so poorly as a customer. I hope people read this review and take it seriously. AWFUL company. 1Solar will take your money and will not finish job. Again.... this has been since APRIL. DO NOT USE 1SOLAR....DO NOT USE 1SOLAR....DO NOT USE 1SOLAR!

Sold a system for these guys and once it came time to pay me they disappeared. This is one of the reasons I was hesitant to implement solar into my company with an EPC. Companies like this make the solar industry look bad

After having some initial discrepancies with the sales representatives attentiveness to the promises he had made a 1 solar employee named Amber interceded and resolved the issues in impeccable time. I recommend asking for this employee if you are calling with any issues

Do not use these guys for solar. They never let me know when someone was coming to work on the system at my house. It was always a surprise. And I have been waiting on a generator to be installed and a 2nd final inspection and then I'll have to pray to the God's that it works because this company never tells you anything. I have been stuck with this terrible company for over a year now. And starting to take legal matters since they never reply. Because they keep pushing the installation of this generator or further and further. This was supposed to be finshed last Dec and here we are in April. Save yourself time and heartache if you are looking for solar. Look else where

The sales process was very quick. The Rep was prepared to present the plan to us. We were able to ask questions and update the design to meet our needs. The Rep was very knowledgeable on the product. Once everything was laid out it totally made sense to move over to solar energy.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.

I have been trying to get them to repair issues with the system for over 7 months. Major headache.

We are paying full price every month for panels that don't work. We have 19 panels, and we started with one not working. Now none of them are working after 5 rounds of technicians coming out to attempt to fix them.
Every time they send a technician out they say something completely different.

They over charge for any additional panels that need to be replaced, and it takes them forever to get anything done.

The install process and communication from 1Solar has been terrible. I am still in the middle of it, and have dealt with so many different problems. Crews showing up unannounced and being upset that I have dogs in the backyard while I’m at work (regardless of requests made to schedule work with us and not just show up). This happened more than once. Attic access was through my closet, and not once but twice did the 1Solar team leave insulation all over my closet and clothes with no attempt to clean. Lastly, my front gutters were damaged during the installation process, and it has been over a month with no response on a plan even after 10+ requests for some kind of plan. This has been a frustrating few months and would not recommend this experience to others.

One star is too much, zero stars should be an option for a company like this. I payed the down payment in January of last year. Nothing has been accomplished. They only started calling me back after I threatened to file against their bond, communication is a challenge for these folks, to say the least. They apologized and guaranteed to have the system installed in sixty days… over sixty days ago. Do not commit to 1solar because they will not commit to you. Still don’t have any work accomplished or my deposit.

Once my sales rep Jerome got his commission, we never heard from him again about the installation, when people would be over, the permit process, or to answer any of our questions. We also repeatedly told him what our email address was and he entered it wrong multiple times so we did not get emails that we should have received. Additionally, our first month with the solar panels up and running (according to my last phone call a month ago) we were charged by Xcel as well as the loan company for the solar panels, exactly what we did not want to happen. I hope we can get this resolved, but have not been able to connect with any help yet.

Thank you to 1Solar for your help, support and meeting all expectations ahead of schedule! We were nervous about this commitment, and I have to say 1Solar does it right, starting with a welcome call, assigning a consierge who has kept me informed, and just the right amount of check in and follow up calls. Every person who arrived to our home from 1Solar was professional, kept me informed and was a pleasure to work with. I wish I could give them all a 10 star rating!! We first met with Nich Sheldon from Valor who is in partnership with 1Solar. He prepared us for the process and assured 1Solar was the best. He was right, and a man of his word! If you are considering solar, contact Nich from Valor who partners with 1Solar to make sure you are taken care of and happy you made the decision!

Very dishonest company. Exploring my legal options to get this crap off my house!

Do not use! I can not stress this enough. Buyer beware. I would like it removed from my home. I don't trust them or the system. They failed inspection 3 times. The panel upgrade is the worse ever(im in the industry). They claim they will back the work, i highly doubt it because they can't install it correctly the first time. The salesmen worked for Simon bros roofing. He seemed to be knowledgeable and I trusted him. Turned out to be the old bait and switch. Next thing I know 1solar shows up. No one told me they were the install. I was told they would pay for my electric from the first day they start till its installed. According to 1solar they don't. Again another lie by the salesmen, and 1solar won't stand behind it, even though thisnis who they chose to represent them.

I am completely discusted with both companies. Feel like I have been screwed over and here I am stuck with a system I don't trust and a company you can't rely on. Considering calling my attorney.

We too have holes in our ceiling and have been trying to get in contact with 1solar for 6 weeks now. Avoid this company at all costs, I will be going to Denver 7 and a lawyer next because of the LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND PROFESSIONALISM, and the holes in my ceiling not being fixed. DO NOT USE 1SOLAR. We also have been billed our first solar bill and the city hasn't even come to inspect the panels. So why am I being double charged? Matthew who is supposedly a manager had another customer service representative speak with me while he was in the same room, "speaking with another customer." Stating that he would call me back. This has been the case for 2 months now. Check the BBB before hiring this fraudulent company.

DO NOT work with 1Solar!!! I got a bait and switched into working with them from Valor Roofing & Solar which is the company I thought was actually going to do the work.

Their communication and customer service is non-existent. They boast about having a "customer concierge" that will inform you weekly about the progress of your project but you're lucky if you hear from them once per month. And when you do, the message won't contain any actual dates, timelines or details. It will be an incredibly vague message about how they're "working on it" filled with emojis like it's written by a highschool intern. To get any more details is like pulling teeth and requires you to manage ever step of your own solar project. I have no doubt that even when it's complete, many things will have been missed.

We're nearly 9 months into this solar project which is 3 months over the longest timeline we've been given (3-6 months). Their workmanship is unbelievably shoddy and they missed multiple, simple steps in the installation. The project FAILED 2 city inspections! And that's not enough to get them to fix the issues. The last failure was because the panels aren't even connected in a junction box. It's been 3 weeks and many messages on my part trying to get them to fix it with no reply.

(If) When someone does show up on your property, you can bet they have no idea what needs to be done. You need to tell them. There is no communication between the office and installers. I was once told that I had an appointment scheduled for several days. On the day of, I messaged the office to find out when they would arrive and when the tech that showed up he said he just got scheduled for the job 30 minutes beforehand and didn't know what needed to be done.

Pro tips: 1) Use a project management tool that is shared with the customer, 2) have checklists for everything that needs to be done 3) hire people who have any sense of how to do the job, 4) respond to your customers! Or just do everyone a favor and go out of business and let the real solar companies do their jobs.

I better not get a response to this google review when I still haven't gotten a reply to my messages about the next steps of my project that I have been asking for for 4 days now.

UPDATE: I can't reply to replies on google reviews but if you're reading this, be aware that the 1Solar reply to my review is a complete lie. Their "consistent updates" are prompted by me and only inform me of tentative dates and give vague info like "we're working on..." and "hopefully should happen as soon as possible". They did reach out to me and I did respond. If they have trouble understanding why their service is so terrible, that's even more concerning.
