David and team have done two projects for us. First a flagstone patio and then they replaced a section of lawn with a few garden beds with irrigation. Very high quality work.

I had a relatively small project to create a pathway, remove weeds--lots of weeds, add mulch and stones, and a cement track for the drive and that was for a space of 15' x 60'. I went through 3 rounds of interviewing contractors, making proposals, and trying to deal lots of missed appointments and disappointing estimates, Rooted Craftsmen rose above 30 or so contractors. For one, David does business more like I am used to doing, personal and no corporate cookie-cutter approach.

I was so impressed with the estimate and proposal that I added another 20' x 60' area. David listened to what I had in mind and worked with me to keep costs in check and offered ideas as we went along. Those ideas enhanced the project and made the difference from having just another landscape project into something worth talking about.

Also, this crew lives up to their name, they are craftsmen. For example, the pathway was made of flagstone pavers. Most landscapers wanted to lay various pieces down and fill them with mulch or loose stones. This crew meticulously cut flagstone and fitted the pieces together; the finishing touch used polymeric sand to create a finished walkway. This isn't just some stones for us to step on, we have a crafted walkway and landing area for both sets of stairs.

I gave five stars because the major issue with contractors and services is communication and overwriting a client's choices. David was in regular contact and kept me informed through the process; he consulted with me regarding options and what I was trying to achieve. The crew worked purposefully and with skill to create a wonderful space that I can use now and continue to add to in the next few years. Bonus points for complete clean-up. The biggest compliment I can give is that they care and they have skills, an unbeatable combination. I will be working with Rooted Craftspeople again.

David at Rooted Craftsmen exceeded all my expectations! They transformed my backyard from a blank slate into an absolute dream. As this was a brand-new build, they handled every detail with incredible precision and care. From installing retaining walls on both sides and running gas lines for our outdoor kitchen and fire pit to pouring concrete for pathways and a hot tub slab, plus adding the perfect greenery—they truly brought the space to life.

Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were top-notch, and the entire team was professional, efficient, and easy to work with. My backyard is now both functional and stunning—a perfect place to relax and entertain.

David and his entire team were incredible to work with throughout the entire process! My husband and I started our landscaping project on our own and brought in Rooted Craftsmen to finish it up. They installed a concrete walkway, downspout drains in our front yard, a paver patio area, artificial turf, two retaining walls, and a fire pit area.

David took the time to meet with us and really understand what we were going for with the remainder of the work and made some great suggestions that really helped us out and created a beautiful finished product.

We went through the quote process with multiple other companies and were either completely ghosted or the quotes were outrageously expensive. It is nerve wracking hiring out work to be completed not knowing if anyone will show up or complete the job within a reasonable time frame. David’s crew showed up on time every morning and worked extremely hard until the project was finished. Everyone that worked on our yard was extremely skilled, kind, and a pleasure to work with.

Communication was great and all questions that we had were answered quickly, with multiple check ins throughout. We would absolutely recommend this company to anyone needing landscaping!

This has been my worst experience in a hotel i would never stay here or recommend this place to my worst enemy the service is horrible in the front desk they are super rude and they don’t know what they are doing

Before anyone else decides to go with this company because you think the reviews are so great and you’re paying for quality work (like I did), you will be sorely mistaken.

I just had a fence put in with them and they left a huge mess (concrete mix, dirt, rocks) for me to clean up(not just dirt, concrete debris but nails and hardware left when the contract said it’ll be left clean) didn’t even nail down the all of the fencing to the frame (which I don’t even have to explain - you should expect the fence to at least be put together) and ruined my landscaping (instead of “evenly spreading the dirt along the fence line” under the mulch, they left piles of dirt on top of the mulch and mixed it in). The gates didn’t even have handles installed and they cut the wood unevenly so that gates have splintered wood sticking out.

The cherry on top is their lead guy trying to sell me on people he knows that I can pay to get this fixed all of this fixed. Also when I had brought up all of the issues I had, he blamed me for the miscommunication and just walked away, got in his truck and left everything unfinished.

Apparently I’ll be stuck with this fence and would now need to work with them to get all of these things fixed that shouldn’t have needed fixing in the first place.

Save yourself the trouble and get a referral from your neighbors or find someone else because this ain’t it.

Denver Fencing Guys custom built 2 RV gates for me. It turned out to be a complicated project but Ben stayed on top of every step. His continual follow up made the project a success. They pride themselves on customer satisfaction which is exactly the experience I received. Both gates look fabulous and I'm very happy with their service.

Great job. Before I had a falling down, fire hazard old wood fence. Now I have a metal fence connected to my house which greatly reduces fire danger and looks fantastic! Thanks Denver Fence guys!

Nate was great to work with. He was very accommodating with our schedule changes due to delays from the hoa. He answered all our questions and was very quick with changes made.
