Drew came and diagnosed my washing machine leak. He was timely, honest and extremely helpful in recommending next steps.

Avoid!! Just had 2nd bad experience with them. We had them come look at the ice maker on our refrigerator several years ago. The tech patronized us and explained that the ice maker had to be turned on to make ice....he literally said "You see this little bar here? It has to be pushed down to make ice. See? Up...down." As if we were two years old! He didn't even investigate the problem, let alone fix anything. My husband later found the problem and fixed it himself; it has made ice just fine for years now no thanks to them! Since that was several years ago, I decided to give them a second chance and called them to investigate water leaking under the freezer. When I called to schedule the appointment, I told the woman I needed a morning appointment. She said she put me down for Thursday morning I would receive a text the day before with a two hour window. Great! I got the text and it said they would be here in the afternoon. I called saying I was supposed to have a morning appointment and the other woman said they NEVER promise morning or afternoon and I was stuck with an afternoon appointment because of the "route I was on'. Sorry, I thought I was scheduling a repair service, not mail delivery. She made it sound like I was crazy and I was definitely the one who misunderstood! So much for an improvement in customer service! I just cancelled the appointment entirely and will never call them again!

First time and last time customer. Nothing about our experience went well. We were referred to Columbine by Whirlpool. We selected a morning appointment window (8am-12p) for a Saturday morning. The day before we received a confirmation for an afternoon appointment (330p-530p). This was a little inconvenient as we’d scheduled our day anticipating a morning appointment but our dryer needed to be fixed so we rearranged things. The tech arrived and to his credit was very polite for the 15 minutes he was in our home. We described the issue with the dryer (it would power on but the drum wouldn’t spin/no heat) and he went in to take a look. A few minutes later he emerged from our laundry room with the verdict – “you need a new motor.” He explained that the motor wasn’t returning any feedback to the control board and was blown. He quoted us a repair cost of nearly $800 and commented that for that amount it might be worth just looking into a new dryer. He said he would email over this quote and that it would be good for the next thirty days if we decided to go ahead with the repair. We never received an email. At that point we paid his $136.68 fee and he was on his way. We never received an invoice for this either. He didn’t remove a single screw, test anything or take any steps to confirm his diagnosis. The dryer was never unplugged. We don’t recall him even bringing in a tool bag. Later that evening we were looking at new units and something just didn’t sit right with me. I decided to look into the dryer repair myself. I figured that worst case scenario we’d be buying a new dryer anyway. I watched a number of videos from whirlpool, professional repair techs and amateur handyman types. I learned about the thermal fuse and how it prevents fires by tripping under excessive dryer temps. A blown thermal fuse will prevent the dryer from heating as well as stopping the drum from spinning. I took the dryer apart and tested the fuse with a multimeter and sure enough it was blown. I also tested the heating element and it was burned out as well. I replaced the parts, put everything back together and it fired right up. I replaced three parts totaling about $125. We’re disappointed that we paid you to come stand in our laundry room for five minutes on a Saturday afternoon and tell us to go buy a new dryer. Everyone we tell this story to is stunned. Do better.

We had some issues lighting a fireplace that was installed. It was technically out of warranty but this was the second time we'd had a service call on it and after speaking to Steve he sent the technician back at no charge. The technician found an issue with the ignitor and a new one was ordered. The new one was installed, again at no charge. You can't always keep things from going wrong but how you handle it when they do is the real sign of a business that cares about it's customers

The technician Andrew came prepared with the part needed to repair my oven and had it working in less than an hour. He was professional and courteous.

Thanks Andrew! Very quick with fixing our JennAir that was under warranty. Responsive service. Customer service helped us reschedule when we needed to. Thanks!

I used them to fix my Jen Air oven. At first I was shocked by the estimate but realized after I did a quick internet search that it was because Jen Air charges exorbitant prices for repair parts. Quote for the actual labor was reasonable and Brian the technician showed up on time and knew what he was doing. He was excellent, fast and I will use this company again. Thanks!

Thank you for scheduling a service so quickly. Terry was wonderful! Friendly, professional and just such a nice man!
Thank you again! -
Appointment time frame is given at 10am the day prior to appointment so you can’t really make plans and when I called to change it the female receptionist was extremely rude and I had to pry for accurate information. They lost my business due to this experience. I am asking for another company that values customer service.

Warranty service through Whirlpool; scheduled for a Friday morning. The technician (Austin) called Thursday afternoon, in the area and would I like himself to stop and check out the refrigerator/freezer? N-e-v-e-r have had this happen. A quick repair, some troubleshooting tips - amazing service all around! Strongly recommend!

Outstanding customer service! I called the Whirlpool 800 number to find a repair company for my washing machine, and I'm so glad they sent you the referral! Hunter, your service technician, came out on Friday to make the repair. He was right on time, courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable; he quickly made a diagnosis and had the part on hand. The washing machine works perfectly now! I'm am very impressed.
Thank you for having such amazing employees like Hunter - you now have a customer for life with me. I wish I could give twenty stars instead of five in this review.

This happened a few years ago but it still chaps my damn hide. Listen. I get diagnostic costs but what happened was so comical, I thought he was joking.
The guy gets to my house to fix my microwave because I'm trying to be good to the earth and fix and reuse instead of just replace. He was in here for I want to say less than 3 minutes but I'll error on the side of safety and say 5 minutes. He opened his laptop, entered the model and said they don't make that piece anymore so nothing we can do. That'll be "X" dollars. (It's been a while so I don't remember exactly but it was not insignificant and I want to say ballpark of $150 give or take $50). I laughed and was like yeah haha and he's like no really.
This guy never touched the microwave except to open it and find the model number, 0 screwdrivers were used, nothing was taken apart. I asked why they wouldn't just tell me you dont service this model anymore when I called and he said the people who make appointments don't have access to see what the techs can see. I find it absolutely ridiculous that I paid a diagnostic fee for a "service" where all they did was enter a model number into a search bar. When I had another company service my dryer, they were on the floor opening it up and finding out the problem (a *dime* wedged its way to the motherboard and fried it!!). I understand why that costs $150 and we paid it. Now what happened w Columbine? Any mom and pop shop w a conscience would not taken our money or discounted it since they were literally in our house for minutes, the majority of that time being spent explaining to me why I needed to pay him after I let him in and he instantly said ope, you're SOL. I remember thinking the ring playback video timestamps on this would be absolutely laughable.
Anyways, I keep hearing great things about Columbine but I'll never try them again to find out. Real bitter about this one.
