Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had to have a call back on a drain cleaning from about 3 weeks ago. Robert (Bob) was the plumber who came to the house today. As with the other plumbers Roto-Rooter has sent over the years, Bob was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. He thoroughly snaked the drain again and said that mostly likely some sludge had fallen from the previous drain cleaning a few weeks ago and that is what was causing the drain to slow down in such a short time.

He snaked the drain very slowly and thoroughly in an effort to get everything loose. Then he did several sinkful drains to ensure everything was draining properly. After 40 years in this house, I know all the drain sounds, and the drain sounds tip top right now. He gave me another tip and doing a full sink drain every week or so to get a higher volume of water running through the pipes rather than just leaving the hot water run as I have been doing.

In a 40 year old house, I expect regular maintenance on things, drains included. And I am always confident when calling Roto Rooter. Their plumbers are very savvy, experienced, pleasant, and they always take very good care of my home, keeping things clean, etc.

Bob did a great job. Hopefully, the drain will cooperate now and I won't need to call them again for about a year, but my plan is to have yearly preventative maintenance on this drain to keep things chugging along.
