If I could give this company more than 5 stars, I would. They were very professional, and worked hard to fit my schedule - as I had to leave in just three days - this included them giving up their Sunday to take down a tree that had been damaged by the storms and was a danger to my neighbor's property and my mothers.

The men came early as promised and worked almost without pause for the next 7 hours. They protected the yard, house and the neighbor's property and cleaned up everything! I have worked with few companies in the past who have done their job as well and do it with such enthusiasm.

These guys are true professionals. I had a damaged tree coming out of the ground that was leaning toward my house. They were able to get me on the schedule for the following day. When they arrived to remove the tree the foreman (Eloy) noticed that another tree nearby had split at the base and was in danger of falling on our house. They were able to remove both trees by the end of the day. They are clearly a highly skilled and efficient crew. I would recommend them to anyone requiring this kind of service.

Progressive was the low bid out of 5 companies (although most of them were pretty close to each other). They did a great job taking down a large branch from a cottonwood tree, doing some additional thinning on that tree, and removing a few smaller dead trees and bushes. They're very professional and knowledgeable about tree care. I have no hesitation to use them again in the future.

Juan responded right away to my request for a quote and came out the next day. His quote was competitive, and he was very knowledgeable. His team did an excellent job pruning our apricot tree and our large elm tree that was hanging over part of our house. I would definitely hire them again!

We had sudden limb drop occur this past Sunday on one of our old growth trees and had a great experience working with Juan from Progressive Tree Service! He was at our house within 30 minutes of receiving our call and assembled a team to remove the limb and other debris the same day. The team removed an additional limb from the tree and recommended a more intense pruning to be completed in the next week or two. We learned that our long-time and very reputable tree service has been removing dead limbs and only doing minimal pruning which is causing our tree limbs are support too much weight. I'm anxious to have the "high and tight" haircut take place and look forward to Progressive's next visit. They left a very clean work environment. Additionally, the limb damaged our privacy fence in multiple locations, even taking out an entire panel. Juan was able to recommend a landscaper who made himself and his team available to come out for the fence repair on Sunday as well. High marks for this Evanston service! Were it not for the gaping area where our tree shed the limb, and the new wood on our fence, no one would have a clue this ever happened.

As a landscape designer, running into tree maintenance and tree issues is a frequent occurrence. Not only is his team honest, intelligent, and professional, but the prices are fair as well.

Progressive Tree Service was easy to deal with, prompt, hard-working, and had an excellent crew. They made a difficult job of removing a 100-year-old Cottonwood tree look easy. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

The guys at Progressive Tree Service are pros. They removed a tree from my backyard that others couldn't fathom doing it. They are very clean, very careful and very quick.
My propriety wasn't damaged nor left as a mess. In fact, one would barely notice that i had a tree in the backyard. I strongly recommend to chose the grinding of the stump as well...doesn't leave any trace of the former tree.

I don't write reviews often but wanted to take a second to commend the professionalism of Eloy and his crew.

I woke up to find our large (50+ ft.) pear tree had fallen over and was leaning on our power line and the neighbor's house. I called Progressive at 7:15am, had someone out to take a look at 8:00 am, and work was started on the tree at 10:30 am. Not only were Eloy and his crew fast but also very friendly, taking the time to answer any questions I had along the way.

If you are looking for a professional, responsive and fairly priced. tree service, I cannot recommend Progressive's services enough

My experience with Progressive Tree Service was very professional -- responsive, work completed when and as promised, and at a very competitive price. Juan visited both before and as the work was being completed by his six-man crew. I highly recommend them.

I love this company. I've used them twice in the past year. The first time I had them prune and cable some large trees I had by my garage (I'm in the city and everything is tight). The second time I had them take down a 40 foot maple that was nearly dead and smack dab between my house and the neighbor's. I was very impressed how they careful cut and lowered everything. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Hopefully my trees are good for a while though.

Juan was very polite and courteous. He arrived promptly for our appointment to quote the job. He provided a quotation, identified a day with a break in the weather in February, and showed up as scheduled to complete the job. He removed the dead tree quickly and cleanly even though it crossed over both my yard and my neighbor's. Overall Progressive Tree did a great job and I would certainly use them for future work.

I was about to contract with another tree removal company when I learned about Progressive. Turns out they are a family business with both the front office and work crews consisting of brothers, sisters and cousins. Wanting to support individuals over large companies, I researched them and when everything looked good hired them to remove a 75 yr. old Honey Locust that stood over 40 feet tall. I am incredibly happy I did. They are honest and professional and truly care about their work and reputation.

Friendly, fast, and thorough! They gave us the lowest quote out of three other services, and they were the most pleasant to deal with. It was fascinating to watch the tree removal process, and the area was spotless when they left.

We had an excellent experience with Progressive Tree Service. A knowledgeable and informative proposal was made by Juan for the job of trimming and thinning our large silver maple. The work was done at all times collaborating with us in regards to how aggressively we wanted the tree thinned out and which branches to remove or cut back. Very tastefully done in all regards. Done at a fair price as well.

We had a great experience working with Progressive Tree Service on removing a dead tree in our yard. From start to finish, Juan Carlos Martinez and team were extremely professional and easy to work with.

When I asked Juan to assess the condition of our tree as a certified arborist, he was able to drop by the same morning, since he was working in the area. He made a reasonable case that the tree was dead and would need to be removed. He answered all my questions and sent a proposal the same day, which also ended up being the exact end price.

The team removed the tree within a week on a single morning and was very careful not to damage our property or our neighbors'. They worked very efficiently in taking the tree down and took care of all hauling, clean-up and grinding down the tree stump.

They are awesome. They were on schedule and had my tree removed same day after my consultation. Other companies do not do that, instead would charge you just to consult. I needed the tree removed due to a party next day, and they accelerated the service to help my situation. The price is reasonable. I would highly recommend them.
