Repaired fireplace and replaced flue. Painted inside fire brick with mortar, which has been cracking down the sides and back of firebox. Outside brick on exterior chimney was chipping. Said they could apply a mortar coating to look like stucco. Mortar dried extremely botchy. Large area of mortar missing from outside of fireplace. Also mortar residue left on shingles and not removed. They had installed a different type of fireplace cap/flue which shuts on the top of the chimney. Now when it rains it sounds like it is raining inside the fireplace. I had called Mike to come take a look at roof, chimney, and requested a cover to fit over the cap on top of the chimney to protect it from rain. He said I guess I should have told you about that type of cover. This was the first of August. Said he would return Sep. 2nd. The company never showed back up. This is upsetting because they said they did this kind of work. This was an expensive job. I was going to call them back but after the no show, and the poor workmanship, I don't trust this company to touch my fireplace ever again.

Scheduled them to clean my chimney and to check on connection for gas log fireplace. They were a total no show. I got no call from them about any problems or the need to reschedule. I tried to contact them, but got no response. Several hours wasted waiting for them to arrive.
REPLY TO RESPONSE: I don't see how that is possible. The email I sent you is in the sent file in my email service. It clearly has the 13th as the date. I also have your email confirming appointment which states, "We just scheduled an appointment with you for 9:30-10:00 on Monday, January 13..."

Updating our family’s farm house wood burner. This new one is amazing! Longer lasting fires, that we can see now. Less clean up with more efficient stove. Would tell anyone to use Michael.

Watertite Chimney did a wonderful job and were very quick, but careful with their project. They tore down my chimney, covered the hole that was there and put the siding back in place. I haven’t had any problems since this company did work on my house. VERY PLEASED!

Watertite was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. After a thorough inspection all repairs were explained to me, including explaining how to bring certain things up to code and to make my fireplaces safely operable.
I have two fireplaces/chimneys and both required work. Options were given to me as alternatives to save on some of the repair expense, I liked having the option to choose. I had exterior chimney, chimney cap repair done and an high efficiency damper installed as well as parging of my upstairs chimney flue. Mike, one of the owners who also performed some of the work, also took care of masonry repairs on the house - fixing/repairing part of a brick sidewalk and cracks in the brick exterior. I shopped around for pricing and found Watertite to be the best priced, the most knowledgeable and the only company that took the time to really explain to me what was required. Mike and Travis (the other owner) also took the time to take my calls w/my follow up questions and requests. I would hire this company again and recommend this company to friends.

I had brick spawling all over my deck.
Mike came over, gave me three options to repair the issue.
1st option tear down and rebuild it.
2nd option- put siding around the whole chimney
3rd option- was stucco the whole chimney.
I went with the stucco option, being raised in Arizona this was a must.
It turned out great, and everytime I pull into my driveway I think I'm back in Phoenix.
I'm the only one in my neighborhood that has a stucco chimney, I get compliments on it daily, I've passed his business card out to at least 5 people in my neighborhood that wants to get their chimney stuccoed.

Michael is great, I would recommend him for any chimney or fireplace issues. We had an instance where two other contractors noted how he had done a good job on previous restoration work.

We had a horrible leak from our chimney into our fireplace and going into our basement. Watertite not only fixed the problem, they were reasonably priced, honest, reliable, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them over the other guys. We got an estimate from another company and they wanted to charge us almost 5 times the amount for the same service. Watertite Chimney is a great company with great guys.

I contacted Watertite Chimney to get a second opinion on chimney repair. Michael took the time to walk me through options for repair as well as other issues that may need to be evaluated as well. He was very helpful in taking the time to answer my questions.

Had an appt at 12 and they showed up on time. Very professional; told me what was causing my bricks to spall. They gave me some options and I hired them to rebuild my chimney.

Michael installed a new 3” vent from my water heater out through an old chimney. My water heater had been red flagged by Duke Energy as unsafe due to poor venting allowing carbon monoxide to collect in the crawl space. He removed brick from the center of the fireplace and shortened the exterior chimney to allow for better venting. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient. His invoice included detailed work to be done along with photographs. There was no clean-up for me to do when I got home from work. I highly recommend Michael for any work he feels comfortable undertaking. He is an honest, hard-working person.

Called to schedule an appointment for and inspection and I was very pleased ! They came to do a video scan, and I was impressed by the knowledge they had and shared with me. I feel confident now that my fireplace is safe. Thank you Watertite, I will be calling back for my next cleaning !
