Took the time to explain things to me during the inspection. Came back after I moved in to help with an electrical issue. Highly recommend.
-
Very detailed and he explained everything to my client buying the home. Gave suggestions on how to repair little issues and how to prevent future issues.

Roger always does a great job on the home inspections. My clients appreciate his knowledge.

Very professional and thorough. He found things that I never would have seen until I lived there. I am very happy Homenspect was the chance mpany to check out my new home.

Incredibly disrespectful and rude. We called to schedule a tentative appointment, which we were told we did not need to call back unless we were confirming the appointment. We decided not to confirm as we found a better deal and an inspector we felt would also do a great job. After emailing me, he also proceeded to call me and leave me voicemails. When I called back, he laughed at me and told me "good luck with your inspection." When I stated he really wasn't making me want to do business with him, he continued to laugh and ridicule me, so I hung up the phone. All I can say is I am so glad that we did NOT hire this service.
EDIT in reponse to the owner: It is quite that sad that you think talking to your customers in that way is appropriate LOL. We cancelled WELL in advance. and you threw a hissy fit. that's on you sir -
Missed several obvious things during inspection. He said he would take care of what he missed, then never answered or responded to my calls and e-mails. I now have to spend a lot of money to fix the things he missed. An inspection is meant to find costly issues before buying a home. The inspector failed at this. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Don't make my mistake. Find someone else.
Updated Response after Owner's Response: Adding to the problems with this company now, the owner responds with a blatant lie that I said I used a pressure washer on the siding of my house. Have never used a pressure washer on my home, in fact I plan on cleaning the siding with a product from Home Depot to get rid of some mold or mildew spots on it due to the age of the siding. I never said I used a pressure washer. The hole was there at inspection, he just flat out ignored it. Be real careful with this company. I am floored by the owner's response and lie solely to try and save face! I just had to replace my whole garage door also! Overhead Door Company did a GREAT job by the way, but were shocked when they saw the shape the door was in. They said, "this should have been noticed when you had your inspection." I wonder what else will come up in the future that Homenspect missed...how frustrating.
All things aside, I am not going to get pulled in to a public fight with the owner. At the end of the day, reviews are to help people make the best decision possible when selecting companies. This was my experience. If you choose to use them, be careful. Best of luck. -
Went under contract on 4/8. Had Roger out to inspect the home we are purchasing the next day at noon! He was incredibly punctual, thorough, explanatory & extremely friendly! I was very impressed with his professionalism and responses to our questions. Thinking it may be a day or two before receiving our report, we came home later in the evening and were pleasantly surprised to find our detailed home inspection ready to present to the seller THE SAME DAY! Labeled and noted correctly with clear photos and explanations. We are so impressed with the company, and with Roger in particular, we absolutely plan on referring our friends and family! Reasonably priced & fast!

We had Roger do our home inspection late last year for our first home purchase. Roger was good at finding the small issues that could be seen with the naked eye or measured with one of his tools/instruments. However, Roger missed that our finished basement hid a massive foundation crack.
True the crack was hidden behind drywall, but a professional should have noted that side door catching, the brick coming away from the cement foundation outside, and the stairstep cracks in the bricks by the windows all indicated that the foundation had/has issues. Roger called this natural settling and assured us that the house was okay to move forward with.
The basement professionals who came in to fix the issues were all shocked that Roger did not see the obvious warning signs from the outside of the house. One professional conjectured that the wall could come down completely if unsupported in as little as 5 years.
Also important to note that Roger sent my boyfriend a link to leave a review on a different site, and when Roger didn't like the review he called my boyfriend who was at work angry and unapologetic. It made a bad situation feel even worse. We are over $6K trying to get our house back to the value we purchased it at. This review is so late coming because we've literally been trying to get our home intact. Roger's contract protects him from having to really deal with any legal recourse. Protect yourself by hiring someone else.
