We have used Great American Landscapes for the past three years and have been very happy with their services. We do the spring cleanup with them every year. Previously I did the work all myself, but it's worth every penny and looks much more professional now. Highly recommend Mike Risell and his team.

I've appreciated the great work across the company, but especially by Julie Friedman with Exteriors Outdoor Styling, which handles container plants. She has designed beautiful arrangements for a window box and containers in our back yard, and I'm always so impressed with how quick she is to respond to all requests or questions.

Julie helped us design a custom screened-in porch and two side patios. She helped us with outdoor pots, furniture, fixtures, etc. We couldn't be more pleased with our results. We also live in NY and Julie worked with us via zoom. It has been an amazing experience.

Great American Landscapes is doing a very professional job maintaining and beautifying the common property in our community. Our neighborhood has never looked better. Great American also performs snow removal for our private roads and sidewalks.

Great American has been managing our outdoor landscape for several years. They have helped plan and execute a plan for a challenging sloped terrace in our backyard all while continually keeping the property in pristine condition. Mike Swisher specifically has gone above and beyond in personally inspecting the property throughout the year and proactively addresses any issues. Great American Landscapes was the answer to 8 years of flooding in our home. After working with another company for many (disastrous) years to try and fix our flooding issues, a friend told me about Great American. They came and regraded our yard, added a French drain, and replaced our deck with the loveliest paver patio. In 4 DAYS! They were fast and did beautiful work and we haven't had flooding since then. Now we have a beautiful backyard and SO much less stress! Thank you, thank you, Great American!

Craig Corbett and the entire Great American Landscapes team did an outstanding job on a very comprehensive yard and pool project. They transformed a large wooded lot into several outdoor living areas that will get years of use. The planning and communication throughout the project was exceptional, and the execution was on time and meticulously well done. Thanks for the great work!

My husband and I contracted with Great American Landscapes to replace our stamped concrete driveway with brick pavers. They talked to us about options and indicated the scope of work including the logic behind each task activity. When they began the work, they showed up on time everyday and worked diligently throughout the workday. They made precise measurements and made sure each step in the process was completed to the highest level of quality. When the Foreman came to review the progress he spotted something that was not quite right, which my husband and I did not notice. Once the Foreman had the correction implemented, then we could see the difference and thanked him for catching that anomaly. The owner recommended upgrading our front steps so that they matched the driveway, and although that increased the cost, we are grateful that he made the recommendation. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and we have to give them the highest rating for professionalism, delivery, finished product. They are a fantastic company and very skilled and knowledgeable.

We contracted with Great American Landscapes for a complete backyard renovation during the pandemic. We live in DC and our backyard space was not a welcoming space for spending time outdoors.
Craig and his Great American Landscapes team were wonderful at every step of the way. They developed a beautiful landscape design which included taking out a retaining wall and installing a tiered corten steel wall on two sides of the yard, building a fire pit and seating area using custom-cut bluestone, installing new drainage, installing a water feature, and designing soft-scaping layout with native plants and trees.
Once the design was approved, Craig gave us a very detailed estimate and was upfront about all associated costs. Then he and his team went to work. They were prompt and thorough about scheduling, they showed up early every day, were incredibly friendly and hard working, and performed exceptional quality work (even though they'd never installed a corten steel wall before!). Honestly, we had heard so many bad things about home contractors (particularly during the pandemic) that we were blown away at how professional, honest, communicative, and quality-focused Great American Landscapes was. And we love our new backyard!
The only "con" was Great American Landscapes was a bit more (not much) expensive than other estimates, but my philosophy is you "get what you pay for." And in this case - we paid for an positive landscaping design experience, high-quality work, and an incredible end result. I highly, highly recommend Craig and his Great American Landscapes team.
