(Glenelg MD) Although I appreciate local businesses, pools unlimited is a business I would run away from!
My negative experience stems mainly from their inability to return calls, respond to emails, and notify customers. When we were considering building our second pool, pools unlimited was located not too far so we asked them for a quote. It took about 3 weeks to get a confirmation to get a contract after the quoting process because Pools Unlimited would not respond, we have been to the physical location as well 4 times during open hours, called and finally reached someone via SMS but they were not helpful at all.
Their quote was also about $30k higher AND lacked basic amenities for a new vinyl liner pool compared to 5 other businesses. We decided to go with another company that responded to our calls immediately with the owner on-site most of the time during the installation process, and was cheaper.

We thought we were being harsh so we still wanted to give them some business so we tried utilizing them to purchase needed chlorine, even after calling them on the phone and confirming they were open their facility door remained closed and locked... twice. I'd rather drive to leslies at this point - even they are more helpful than Pools Unlimited.

This is an interesting Review since Wes has not done work on my pool (yet), but I would hire him in a heartbeat for any serious work I needed done at my pool. I did work for Wes on his personal house, he was referred to me by another customer I did work for with my business. The customer told me about this great pool guy she found (Wes) to do all her work on her pool after her other pool company had sold their business. While working for Wes, not only did he treat all of my guys like gold, but he was extremely understanding, respectful, patient, and prompt on his end with payment upon completion of job. I also got to see some of his work ethic (early days and late nights), and his own business operation, while working at his house. Wes is top notch! As a business owner myself, I take a lot of stock in peoples character, and Wes is about as good as it gets in my eyes. I will be giving his name to anyone that ask myself for pool work, and can't say enough about them.

They offer free water testing but after 3 times that I took my pool water there to test, The guy said that you have to buy the chemical stuff from us or you have to pay $10 for water testing.

Did a first rate job on some pool renovations including re-plastering and reworking the valves. The team headed by Wes was a pleasure to deal with on the job.

Have used their services for years, and they are terrific. They service pools sell equipment, supplie, and chemicals. They will also analyze your pool water; just bring in a sample.

Had a rough start with my pool this year. Alex and his team fixed the issue . Happy with the result so far. Thank you guys.
