We found them when our old unit died, and the first company we called never bothered to call us back; their loss. Smith & Company came. This is why we knew Smith & Company was the right company to put our faith and trust in when it came to buying a new unit. We cannot say enough about this company. They respond quickly, the staff is always helpful and kind, and the techs are competent and do not pass off poor or sketchy information. They earned our trust, and we greatly appreciate their employees and their hard work to get the job done correctly. They installed our entire system, redesigned our air vent returns, and continue to maintain our new unit regularly. I do not write many of these, so believe me when I say they earned our trust and loyalty as customers, and they will earn yours, too, if you give them a chance. It is worth it. They do have a tacky phone message... Ooooohhhhh yeaaahhh... That, they should rethink. :)~. Naw, it is memorable, like their service.

Smith and Company is a superior HVAC Company. Their technicians are well trained and real professionals. They do excellent work at fair prices, and stand by their work. They installed two new Armstrong units in my house which required fabrication, because I was converting from a baseboard system which consumed a lot of electricity. My electric bill has been cut significantly. There service has also been outstanding. You will never regret using Smith.

Smith just returned to my house for my 6 month preventative maintenance service. Monti, the HVAC technician with his helper serviced both units. Monti was familiar with the downstairs unit because he built and installed the blower unit that was required in my basement. I was very pleased with my total experience with this company. They converted my old air conditioning system into a heat pump system where I no longer need to use the electric baseboard system. This has saved me considerably of heating costs. If you need a new unit or service I highly recommend Smith and Company. They know what they are doing and you cant beat the quality of their work.

From the owner to the employees, you can tell they are all genuinely passionate about their jobs. Smith & Company HVAC's team is very responsive and I love that they follow up the next business day to make sure you are happy with their services. Everyone I've spoken to seems to really enjoy their job and that alone says a lot about the company. Thank you all for your help, we'll be back soon! I will also say that these guys show up right on time or even early but you get a notification where it gives you an eta and tracking on where they are. I love how connected they are with their customers!

Smith&Co did an outstanding job at my parent's house when their HVAC unit died during the coldest few days of the year... everyone who we came in contact with was very professional, extremely friendly and helpful. The technicians spent a very long day installing the new system, making sure everything was working properly before leaving way after the expected time (during negative temps outside)! If you are looking for a reliable and honest company I highly recommend Smith&Co. They will not disappoint! :)

Smith & Co HVAC (Pasadena, MD) has raised the bar on customer service and professionalism. I recently had my gas furnace, coil, and AC compressor (whole system) removed and replaced in my home. Smith & Co worked with my warranty provider and with me to ensure I received the maximum amount in coverage and walked me through options honestly and candidly. Install was a long day but the superb technician and his apprentice were on top of their game, took pride in all details, and ensured I understood the new system. I dealt with 6 of their staff and every one of them was superb. They've made it clear, as well, that they are available should any issues arise. Great communication, technically proficient, courteous and professional. Experts. My most enthusiastic recommendation!

In the middle of summer our AC broke. Smith & Company did an outstanding job and we are so grateful to have found them! These guys were assigned by my home warrantee company, the tech came to my house, I tried giving him the background of the issue i was having but he showed no interest, he left without letting anyone know and wrote inaccurate report causing claim denial. Also left out the insulation that he took out of my unit. The home office team sounded professional, but the field tech that came to my home was a ZERO.
Update for you. I canceled my home warranty service and hired another vendor to look at my unit, providing them with your false report, they came yesterday 8/31 with a new module board and nothing was ever wrong with my original board. Turns out there were two wires touching causing the issue. I ended up paying $200 only because I chose to keep the new module, otherwise would have been $75, not your $1200.11 estimate. They lie about parts and profit off people’s pain. Again I called Trane even before hiring any vendor, module and blower are 2 separate unit. You don’t know the job and do try and error on people’s dime. I paid more for Smith to come out than the competent vendor actually charged. SMH

Highly Recommend! I've used Smith & Son since 2015 for custom duct-work rerouting in a remodel, to basic yearly preventive maintenance services. They are always fast, responsive, and affordable. I had an issue with my furnace Sunday, and sent an E-mail that night. I was scheduled first thing Monday for same day service. Steven R came out and was a true processional. He worked with me to service the both of our furnaces, gave me some tips for new papers filters (replacing old and failing electrostatic filters), and helped me with scoping out a replacement system in the next few years. He was an excellent communicator and I think he took his time to make sure all of my questions were answered. I value their service and have been under their bi-yearly maintenance plan for the last 2 years. Very happy! Thank you!

Dave and Pepe were super fast and very efficient. Totally satisfied with the duct work they were able to do! We got a new slot for the air filter installed, and it took them less than 20 minutes from arrival to departure. Nice gentlemen to interact with as well.

Had them service our 12+ year HVAC when we first moved into our home and helped us keep it running through the winter then when it was warmer they set us up with a new HVAC system for a reasonable price. We’ve always had nothing but positive interactions with them. Also recommend to anyone to get a maintenance plan with them for peace of mind and to cover any unexpected issues.

Very pleased. Very professional. From the call center and techs all the way up to management. I got a quote from a well-known competitor before contacting Smith and Company HVAC. I won’t use their name, but it starts with an H and rhymes with Verizon. It wasn’t even close when it came to repair cost.
Had techs come out to my house twice. Once for initial inspection and again for the repair. The techs were great. Knowledgeable in their craft as well as personable and transparent.
The call center was helpful as well. Friendly and happy to help. I had questions about my payment. I was quickly diverted to management who was just as happy to assist and clear things up.

Contracted with Smith and Co for a complete new heat pump install. The initial diagnosis was timely and efficient. The technicians arrived on time and made sure they protected our floors and walls. They completed the job in great time in less than stellar conditions as my attic gets 'warm'. They were professional and communication was great throughout the entire process. I would jiggly recommend the company.

Smith & Company came out to service my HVAC Unit and upon inspecting the unit a growth, later identified as mold was discovered. Even with the mold the technician Michael was able to assess the matter. With the outstanding customer service of Michael, I was able to get a recommendation regarding how to service the unit and proceed with getting the mold removed. Michael not only followed up with me after his initial visit to my home, when he came back he ensured that I knew what next steps were. I truly appreciate being treated like I was a part of the family.

Smith and Company saved my skins! After working with a malicious company they came in very honest and knowledgeable. Both the receptionists and technicians are super efficient and extremely friendly and personable. I felt comfortable and confident working with them after going through such a bad experience with a former tech. They reinstalled my entire system and even worked extra hard on every persons part to locate my rare system and install in a timely manner. Smith and company has come out to our house 4-5 times in the last 2.5 months because our ac is not working properly. We were connected with them through our home warranty company (AHS). Keep in mind I have a one year old whose room is getting to 80 degrees because of this.

They came and fixed something that cost us $2600. Well it didn’t fix the issue. They came out a few more times. I even told them that we had the compressor replaced in February so maybe that was causing issues. They basically told me the compressor looked good and there was nothing wrong. We requested the manger come out and when he did, he did not even look at the ac unit. He looked at my thermostat. Told me everything was fine and looked it me like I was making it all up. I was told “your ac system is working so there’s nothing else we can do for you.” Our ac was not working the way it needed to be and again our son’s zoom was getting to 80 degrees. They kept just giving us the solution of spending even more money to replace the unit.

Another company came out and once I told them about our compressor being replaced they IMMEDIATELY found the issue and were baffled that another company thought that it was ok what was going on. Our compressor was the completely wrong size for our unit so it was working harder than it needed to be and not running efficiently. It wasn’t even bolted down to our unit which smith and company never even mentioned. So we have not had adequate air for the last 2.5 months in the biggest heat wave ever with a one year old and 2 dogs and smith and company couldn’t have cared less and just wanted to get a new unit out of us.

Smith & Company HVAC was contacted by my home warranty company for a faulty thermostat. They came out and got my thermostat running. However, 31 days later, the thermostat stopped working again. They refused to warranty their work because 30 days had passed. This is not the type of company I would recommend using. Most HVAC companies will warranty their work for longer than 30 days. Beware of a company like Smith & Company HVAC. It's a shame companies like this alwas reply back to negative comments like it's never their fault. Stay away from Smith and Com

We had techs out numerous times to diagnose issues with our old furnace. We eventually decided to get a full system replacement, which works great. All of the techs and reception staff we communicated with were all very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

I owe a great deal to this company. They service my HVAC and do an exceptional job without the worry of being over charged. More significantly, the owner of this company, Mike Smith, took on a large insurance company on my behalf, who had denied my coverage, and he won. The insurance company settled and provided me with the costs incurred by the damage. Mike Smith was not asked to help me. Following the decision of the insurance company to deny my claim, I phoned Smith and Company to ask for an estimate to repair/replace all lost in the event. Mike Smith asked me what happened and immediately thought that I should pursue the insurance company to re-evaluate my loss. I gave him permission to speak to the insurance company on my behalf. Mike drafted a well articulated chronology of the events that occurred, he cited why he believed the loss should be covered, he quoted insurance rules and regulations and even took the lead in several three-way phone calls that I had with the insurance company. He did all of this at no expense to me. He explained that he took this battle on for me because he recognized that I wasn’t being provided with the coverage that’s, under my insurance plan, should have been covered. I have never met anyone, or any company like this one. I am so grateful and will never be able to repay them this amount of gratitude that I owe them.
