This morning I honked at one of your work trucks because as they made a left hand turn, they decided their lane wasn’t big enough and needed to use my lane too and almost hit my truck.
Their response was to honk back at me and flip me off. Classy.

Very confused! Had one of the Bradys come out 2 weeks ago to give me an estimate. Didn't hear from him at all. I texted and asked a week later if he was going to send estimate and he said YES today. That was a week ago. Very unprofessional and very confusing. Just wanted to give a warning out there. It's very hard to find good landscaping companies out there. I was lucky to find someone immediately after I didn't hear from him.

Brady landscaping takes care of two my properties both locations look great and his employees are always great to deal with. They recently did a landscape design project that turned out perfect and under budget.

The landscaping business in Annapolis is divided between an old guard and a new. The new guard are Latino entrepreneurs who undercut the old guard entrenchment with lower prices. It's not exactly a race division because the work crews of both are predominantly Latino, and in my experience it's the Latino boots on the ground that actually figure out what needs doing and do it. Even seeing that, I still paid Brady for years through the nose to have the clean-cut American supervisor come out to buddy me up in clear and courteous English, and to answer my texts and emails with class comraderie and humor, and to give me the feeling that, at that price, these licensed professionals will surely stand behind their work. Sure, the initial sticker price was always a shock, and somehow some complication was always discovered on site to add more to that, but you get what you pay for, right? I figured I was paying for professional reliability. Well, I just got woke. Five years ago I gave over to Brady my whole summer teaching salary of some $4000 for a complete solution to all the rain drain problems in my backyard. However, one part of the Brady design has never worked, so that my easement floods, and now Brady wants to charge me another $2700 to get it right, having charged me $2600 for this part in the first place: "I would rather phase-one address things and you never have to move to phase two rather than me asking you to pay for three phases at once when one phase would have sufficed. However, there are times when additional work needs to be done." What? My $3K was only buying me phase 1 of a complete solution? (And besides this phase 2, might there be a phase 3 at another 3K?) Feels like a variation on planned obselescence. I keep saying that his design didn't work from the start and he keeps saying it did. If it's working as originally intended, then why does it need a $2700 upgrade now? "The materials that are in the easement move and wash." That's why? Because rain pooling from the pop-up pools dirt too, that's why I need to give you yet another $2,700K to get the rain to drain rather than flood the easement? We're talking about a townhouse garden and easement, not a mansion. "You're welcome to see if there is someone else out there with a cheaper option." That sounds to me like my licensed professional courteously blowing me off. Well, I took his advice anyway, and I found a contractor willing to meet with me man-to-man in the easement to talk it through, and he came up with a simple solution: why not run a pipe from the dysfunctional uphill pop-up to the functional downhill one, so that the whole system drains from the one that is working. Now there's a fix, and a fix that is a lot simpler and cheaper than Andrew's $2700K rain basin. Owner Brian Brady's reaction: "I want to be crystal clear on this. There is absolutely, positively nothing wrong with “Andrews Work” from a professional or mechanical standpoint. I will stand by this until the day I die." My consumer standpoint? Brady Landscaping will stand by its work even when you're completely disatisfied with it. Pics below.

Bought Shawn's Firewood. Specified 1 Cord and Seasoned defined as follows: One cord is 128 cubic feet, seasoned is under 20% moisture content. Received wood that was VERY green - maybe 30% usable after 3 full months, and received less than 7/8 cord, including 8-10% shorts (under 12 and as small as 4 inches long). Guaranteed satisfaction - NOT. He refused multiple calls and even a F2F when I was on his site to rectify. I did have the opportunity to refuse the delivery since I recognized the nature of much of the wood. (I know good wood as I normally process my own from my acreage). He would have gotten a 2 rating, but his complete lack or professionalism rates him less than 1. BUYER BEWARE.
