Used to be better, it has detoriated, service was not good either. I would not go back.

Urban Referrals directed me to MCS Construction for a home project. The owner of that company, Gil Martinez, came to my home to measure two storm doors and to provide me with a quote to install the doors and to repair the door frames. He told me the doors were 36X80 and made a recommendation on the specific doors to purchase at Home Depot, which I did. We also agreed upon, in writing, a specific deposit amount, which I paid, with the understanding that the balance would be paid upon completion of the stated work. He arrived to my home and was 3/4 of the way through fixing one of the door frames when he told me the doors were the wrong size; now, he told me the doors should be 32x80 and told me, "don't worry, it's not your fault." We returned the doors to Home Depot, and I purchased two new doors in the 32x80 size. The doors were on special order and would take about 2 weeks to arrive. Gil told me his company would finish repairing the door frames when they came back to install the new doors. He also repainted the flashing on my deck which he badly scratched when he haphazardly threw the old screens around without consideration for my home. He asked if I could pay some more deposit monies up front since they were not able to complete the job as he incorrectly measured the doors. I agreed to out of good faith, as Gil told me he would return to finish the job. When I reached out to him to tell him that the new doors were arriving on a particular date, he told me he was now too busy to finish the job he contracted with me. So, he basically left me with a half-finished repair job, no doors installed, and a false promise of returning to finish the job. I am being punished for his measuring mistakes. And by the way, the doors aren't 32x80 either, as a new contractor has determined. I am filing complaints with the appropriate authorities to have the additional monies I paid to him returned, and to let the Maryland licensing board know of Mr. Martinez' business practices. Needless to say, I would never personally use this company again.

We used MCS Construction for a full basement remodel. This induced, moving walls, new lighting, opening the space by taking out closets, installing shelving, re-enforcing stairs, new tile, new carpet and overall painting and repairing of walls. This whole experience was positive. The job was completed on time and on budget. Gill communicated with us through out the process and prompted responded to any questions we had. The workmanship was also high quality. We are so happy with the outcome and enjoy our new space! I will use MCS Construction for my future projects.

We hired Lagunas Construction for a master bathroom remodeling project based on recommendations from neighbors in Chevy Chase, DC and we could not be more pleased. Lagunas remodeled our original 1930 tiny master bathroom into a larger lovely new bathroom that is still to period of the house but now much more functional. The owner, Luis Laguna, and his crew worked quickly, kept a very neat workplace and were totally communicative throughout the project. I could not more highly recommend them. They are a small, local business that does excellent work at reasonable prices."

They answered all my questions and more, and went above and beyond when we found unexpected issues. Their work is top quality and fairly priced! Luis & Edwin are my favorite contractors. I almost don't want to leave a review because then they'll be too busy for me! They have done everything in my house from renovating my basement, new flooring, electrical work, drywall, roof repairs... you name it, they can do it! And they are very easy to work with and get the job done well for a reasonable price. Honestly, I can't say enough wonderful things about this team.

Laguna Construction LLC has been the most reliable contractor we’ve worked with, far exceeding our past experiences. The contractor ensured his crew consistently showed up on time and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire project. Luis and staff were top notch. They completely remodeled our condo (kitchen, bath, floors, lighting, partial wall removal) and were very detail-oriented and timely. Luis also had some great ideas in the planning stage.

Luis and his team at Laguna's Construction did a great job reconstructing my basement after a recent flooding issue. They really listened to my needs, provided good advice and went above and beyond with finishing touches. The entire team exudes kindness. They also surprised me by being able to start the project 3 days earlier than scheduled, and knocking the whole project out in less than 5 days (the contract had promised 2-3 weeks). I will absolutely use them again, and I hope that next time it is for an upgrade instead of restoration.

The Laguna team did a great job renovating our condo on a very short time frame. Luis is very knowledgable about what can be done with respect to all aspects: electrical, plumbing, trim, etc. Working in an older building can be a challenge; they met it and did great work! I would definitely recommend!

This guy is scam. He runs around acting like a contractor which he is not. He is a low level handyman who is trying to take advantage of people who have no idea of how the contracting business works. He talks over you and doesn't stop talking unless you cut him off. He tries to convince you by talking more about himself than the job he is supposed to do. And if he knew that it is a project that he can take advantage of some how you won't see him again but he keeps you hanging telling you that he is waiting to hear from his contractors. He wasted my time I don't want him to waste yours. Be aware of this scam. I don't recommend this man to no body

Billy is a fun and good man who may personally do good work but who cannot keep his word because he relies on day workers to further the verbal commits he makes. His intentions are good but he lacks the infrastructure to be more than a one man band.

Do not employ this company. Billy Mulcaire is dishonest, incompetent, rude, unprofessional and fraudulent with laughable “workmanship.” He overcharged me $2600) to install metal flashing on my balcony railing to prevent water from leaking into the apt below. The work looked absolutely terrible- uneven, bumpy, with ridges and pockets that would collect water and dirt. I asked him to fix it and he tried to charge me another $1000! I strongly suspect he would never have done that to a man. The work didn’t even last six months, and now I’m left with a PVC layer he put on top that’s raised an inch in places, with dips in others that collect puddles and dirt. The trim fell off, and it looks terrible. I asked Billy to fix it and he insulted me and said he wouldn’t touch it. Worst contractor and worst human being I have ever encountered in my life.

I've never dealt with such professionalism with a company that I have with Kingcaire Construction. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a budget in place and thanks to Mr. Mulcaire, I was also able to add some extra units. I'm ever so greatful and very happy with the high standards of the finished product. I would highly reccomend his services to anyone in need of a good contractor.

Mr. Mulcaire and his team renovated both bathrooms in my condo, and did an excellent job. Very happy with how the bathrooms turned out, and the work came at a very fair price The team were punctual and professional throughout the job. Would definitely recommend and hire again for any other home improvements.

Excellent work on enclosing a porch area off our kitchen (under a second-floor balcony) in fall 2019. High quality work done with an eye towards our special needs (using metal screens that might be more resistant to our cats, doing separate panels for each of replacement if ever needed, etc.). They appeared on time and did the work well and in a timely fashion despite weather. They are friendly and courteous. Also fixed a grading issue in the front of our house by installing a french drain when it turned out simple grading could not do enough (they are good at solving problems efficiently and communicating changes; all the changes improved the overall job). Highly recommend them for any inside and outside construction work, especially if the house is older (ours was built in the 1930s).

KIngCaire carried out a major seven month remodeling project on our large older house (over 100 years old) and did a superb job. Although we had an architect design the project, a number of unforseen challenges came up that were not apparent in the planning stages, such as some significant structural issues behind walls. Billy readily adapted to these and implemented very sensible, effective, and economical solutions, and kept this complex project on track. In addition, as the project proceeded, we made a number of changes and add-on requests to the original plans, such as the installation of custom made cabinets/bookshelves. Again, Billy worked closely with us and some of these add-ons turned out to be the highlights of the whole project. We were endlessly impressed by Billy's desire to do very high quality work but in the most economical way possible. We stayed in the house during the project and Billy and his team were exceptionally careful to work with us to minimize disruptions and inconveniences. The renovations exceeded our expectations and we could not be more pleased with the outcome.

I used Kingcaire Construction for some remodeling and Renovation work on my home in Potomac. The schedule was critical as we were putting our home on the market due to having to re-locate for work.
Billy identified some critical items which were needed to be completed in order to give added value to the home.
The team at Kingcaire were punctual arriving when they said they would, kept the work areas tidy on a daily basis,completed the scopes of work in a timely manner and with excellent craftsmanship.
Getting a home ready for a sale is stressful, to some adding the stress of some remodeling renovations prior to putting the home on the market would be a nightmare. But in this instance using KingCaire Construction made the renovation process easy, Billy displayed great professionalism and provided top notch work at a fair price.
The work they completed greatly assisted us in realizing additional profit from the sale of our home.
It was tough to leave the house behind especially after the work they did.
I would strongly recommend Billy and the team at Kingcaire Construction and wish that I had a resource of the same Caliber here in my new home in upstate
