Constraction reviews in Detroit, Michigan

Let me start off this review by saying I believe running a business like ConRest is difficult in the current climate.
There are labor shortages, material shortages, and long lead times for just about everything.
Our experience with the restoration with ConRest was not fast (due mostly to these circumstances), but I’m speaking to the quality of the finished product.
In short, our basement flooded six days after we moved into our new home which was an unfortunate circumstance.
Our insurance provider paired us with ConRest and from there, we laid a plan to restore our basement.
As they were a preferred vendor of our insurance company, it made the paperwork side of the process easy as I didn’t have to do anything with our insurance company (score one point for ConRest).
The process of the restoration was very start and stop due to the factors I mentioned above…that wasn’t ConRest’s fault.
Once we were able to get things moving with the subcontractors and materials, things went pretty quickly.
They were able to do repairs while we were out of town and left our home in good shape (trust us important to me and they have my trust).
Upon returning, I found a few items that weren’t up to my standards. I don’t judge people on IF they make errors but instead WHAT they do to fix them.
Our project lead, Eric, was phenomenal about ensuring the final product was up to my quality standards.
While we aren’t happy about having to have dealt with a flood or the timeline it took to get things fully restored, ConRest wasn’t at fault for that.
They controlled what they could and helped us restore our home to an even better spot than they found it.
Thanks again Eric and team!

My Insurance company get in touch with these guys and boy it did not disappoint. They responded the same day, with contacting me, told when they would be there, which was the next day. And they were there on time and did a great job of cleaning up the many and major downed limbs from the ice storm. Even looked at some of the damage done to things and explained it. Defiantly would use this company again on a personal level.

My insurance company set me up with conrest for fire restoration. I was promised great things and everyone of them fell far short of even terrible. They ran us out of living expenses because half the time they didn't show up to work. When they did show up to work they were either causing additional damage or delivering subpar results. There was additional work added due to code issues however even some of that work I wasn't made aware of until they started doing it. Communication was almost non-existent unless I was contacting them. They ignored requests of renewed quotes/completion dates and after my insurance finally provided me with one after 5 months from my initial request I found out that Conrest was charging for work they did not complete and had no intention of doing. They even lied to my insurance about work they missed and now I can't get it covered. Terrible company if I could give negative stars I would.

The team did a great job restoring our damaged basement. They worked fast and quietly getting everything done well before the estimated completion date. I would recommend them to anyone.

Would definitely recommend! We had fire damage to our basement and our insurance company sent them out. It took awhile to get started as with everything else now a days but once they did they moved efficiently. Eric the project manager was awesome! He was on top of everything any questions, concerns, problems he took care of promptly. Very professional they won’t stop till customer satisfaction is met. Thanks guys!

I had storm damage from a large tree branch coming down. ConRest came out same day and assessed the damage for the insurance claim. I ended up having them do the repair work. Work started immediately even when there was some annoyance with insurance paper work that I would have expected to have halted progress. I received biweekly updates on progress from Tim until the work was 100 percent complete. I remember calling Tim once on a Sunday about an issue fully expecting not to get a response until Monday. I got a call back within 15 minutes and a contractor was out to the house to fix the problem first thing Monday. While I hope I dont have to deal with another large repair for a long time, this is one of the few business cards I am keeping tucked away just in case.

Chad Boldrey has worked hard to provide service to us under difficult circumstances. His professionalism and patience has been helpful throughout the process and we are thankful for it.
Addition to this review:
Chad has stayed engaged and effective in completing our project. I am appreciative of his extra effort to make sure things went well. I especially appreciate he did not promise more than he could deliver and I could count on him to be dependable and available. Thank you Chad! -

Conrest was assigned my job through my insurance company.
Although the project took longer then expected, my project manager Dave always answered the call when I had questions.
The work that was done was very good and we are happy with the new floors in our home. -

Throughout my entire insurance claim and home renovation and repair, Conrest project manager Tim Wright and his team of contractors provided excellent courteous and respectful customer service and communication of how the job was progressing.
Conrest project manger Tim Wright gave me ease during the 4 month process; their workmanship made my house my home again.
Thank you, Conrest. Tim Wright is an asset to your brand and Conrest company!
Sincerely, Janette

Our upstairs neighbor had a leak, easy to clean up. However, all the water accumulated in our walls and ceiling and part of our bedroom ceiling collapsed with a bang, leaving a hole about 4' by 6'. Conrest came out to remove the damage and found that water had softened not only the bedroom ceiling but the adjacent bathroom ceiling and walls and closet ceiling and walls. Our floor was buckling, too. Conrest came out to expose all the damaged parts and clean up. We had never had damage of this extent anywhere we lived before, so we felt like newbies dealing with the insurance company, our neighbor upstairs, and all the repairs. We chose Conrest for repairs--our insurance company said we could have chosen another company--and the first step was for Conrest to give an estimate to our insurance co, then to pay our deductible so Conrest could assign a project manager, and then to schedule work--plaster, painting, and floor. This all takes longer than you imagine at first. However, our project manager, John King, was responsive and quick; the plaster work was magnificent, as were the painting, trim carpentry and floor work. After the damage mitigation and after the plastering and painting, the workers cleaned up after themselves, but naturally we had more to do after the dust settled. All the workers were professional and friendly. The job is finished now, and we are relieved. I don't think we could have asked for a better process or a better outcome. Thanks, Conrest!

Mike Hixson took control of our entire project after our garage fire. Communication exceeded my expectations, many times it would be me texting after hours not expecting a response, but Mike made sure I knew he received the information. Put our family at ease by keeping his promise to complete our project the right way and on time. Honestly could not have asked for more!!! Thanks Mike Hixson and Conrest!!!! We are back in our home!!!!!!!

I moved back north after being affected by Hurricane Ian. The day I was to move in to my new home there was an accidental kitchen fire from the previous tenant as she was moving out. Conrest came in and I felt very taken care of, especially after the trauma we experienced before. Joe the painter was so thorough and thoughtful. Tim incredibly responsive as well as Mark. I hope no one has to experience the trauma that comes with situations like these but if you do-I would highly recommend Conrest.

I would highly recommend ConRest for future restoration service. It was good to feel like someone was on my side and doing everything possible to complete my job. Even through roadblocks and hiccups, ConRest followed through to make sure we were happy customers. Special thanks to our project manager, Mark.

Chad was the project manager on this job and did a great job lining up the repair crew. Scott and his helper were there at 8 every morning for 4 days and did new drywall, woodwork, painting, plumbing and cleanup. Very professional and would highly recommend. Thanks for a job well done . P.S. The crew that did the cleanup and the tear out were excellent also.

ConRest did an exceptional job on my home after significant water damage. From the drying process, deconstruction and finally reconstruction, the crew members were extremely helpful, dependable and efficient. The project manager, Eric went above and beyond to make sure things were done right and I was completely satisfied and was always easy to reach with any questions or concerns. I felt that my home was in good hands and they turned a devastating situation into a positive one.

Eric, our contractor, was awesome! He was constantly in touch with us giving updates on the work. Several orders pertaining to the repair work in our condo kept getting delayed due to Covid supply chain issues, but Eric did an excellent job finding alternatives to finish the work as soon as possible. The entire process, once he came into the picture, was so smooth and hassle free.

My window leaked and ruined my floors in the front room, so I filed an insurance claim and the job got assigned to Conrest. I am SO thrilled about the work that was done. Eric and team were professional, kind, responsive and always kept me updated along the way. There were some delays in getting the flooring for my home but Eric updated me constantly and it was absolutely worth the wait. My floors are beautiful and the touch up paint and baseboard paint was done very well and in a timely manner to finish the job after the floors were installed. Thank you, Conrest!

Conrest oversaw insurance claim restoration & repair for basement storm sewer backup. Their service was first rate; very prompt remediation & clean up. the subcontractors they used were responsible, responsive & did very good work. There was a lot of flooding and high demand for services but Conrest did a very, very good job. The people I dealt with were all very professional especially Dave Barr. Eric & the woman who managed the clean up also did a great job.

Conrest oversaw and coordinated an insurance claim at my home. It was a relatively small job to start but was complicated. Our point of contact was Mark S and he and his team were diligent with each stage of the project and determined the source of the problem and the various solutions and subsequent repairs. They were patient, respectful and communicative as various trades came and went over a period of months. We are extremely happy with the results and I recommend them highly

Conrest performed water damage inspection, mitigation and restoration for our home. From start to finish, the communication with Conrest was very professional, from the owner to the rest of the company that we interfaced with. We never felt pressured to make decisions before we were ready, and there was always time taken to provide answer to all of our many questions in detail. The project manager (Eric Novack) did a fantastic job walking with us through each step of the process, arranging work to meet our schedule needs, and solving unexpected issues that came up. The completed restoration work by (Troy) was high quality workmanship, especially on flooring removing and installation. All in all, Conrest did a great job and we highly recommend.
