I went with this company for a new liner in my pool since the owner seemed professional and knowledgeable as well as reasonably priced. My decision was the worst possible decision ever!! The owner (Tom) told me it would take 10-14 days to get the new liner and 72 hours to install the liner and the price quoted would include water delivery to fill the pool. So 2 and a half weeks right? Wrong it took 1 month. I also had to use my garden hose to fill the pool. The owner had 1 guy working on it and that 1 guy was great but the problem was this guy had a day job and my job was a side job to him. The owner and his cousin was there the 1st day and the last day to collect his money. All he cared about was money!! He would tell me one thing and did another. I had to do things that he said he would do. I had to clean up their mess they left that they said they would clean up! The last week out of that month he kept saying "the pool will be done tomorrow" and said it everyday that whole week. I think I've learned my lesson and will start looking for more reputable and BBB affiliated companies from here on out!!

We had Tom and his staff pour new concrete around our existing in ground pool. We also asked him to do the regrading of the grass around the newly poured concrete pad. About one month later we noticed a circular shaped area in concrete that was starting to discolor and crack. I sent pictures to Tom and talked to Tom about fixing the concrete. He was always “ too busy to do it now.” I tried calling him month after month to come fix it. I eventually stopped contacting him after a year of no response. I now have a 6 inch diameter circle of chipped concrete in my concrete pad. I am assuming from a buried sprinkler head that concrete was poured over. The yard was not regarded correctly so I have exposed concrete pad with no filling under neath it and grass that does not come all the way to the edge of concrete. I am paying another company to come out to fix tom’s mistakes which is costing another $1500 for landscaping. I have not figured out how to fix the concrete. Overall he did not treat us with respect and does not return phone calls once the job is done.

It did not matter what we asked for or what we wanted, at the end of the day Tom did what he wanted, which usually involved cutting corners and taking the easy way out. It was not until we withheld payment that he took us seriously. Even then, their work was substandard at best. My wife heard him on a telephone conversation that "We just needed to get the job done so I can get paid." We had to beg and remind him several times that we wanted a square pad poured in the back of our house and he still formed it at an angle. There appears to be areas of the pad that have no support under it, until I filled it. Tom and company attached the fence to our ALUMINIUM siding and did not even seal the screw holes. He also attached a larger section to our garage and I will have to put in a post. We asked for the gutters to be run together but of course, he argued and said it was not his responsibility even though he said he would take care of it. Now I have to reconfigure the gutter system to keep the water from splashing our dirt and get the water into the driveway. He poured a step that was not stamped even though he told us it would be a day prior. So we had him rip out the step and give us what we agreed upon in the first place. He then sealed the step without washing it so there is dirt sealed on the step. There is also already a crack where the patio and the step meet.
The worst is the way Tom treated my wife. She asked a question and he yelled "I'm not talking to you, I'm only talking to your husband." He did apologize but there is no need to speak to anyone that way!
Overall, Tom WILL cut corners and do what is easiest for him unless you stand up for yourself.
Overall, the work is substandard. I spent the past weekend fixing their mistakes because we were fed up and want nothing to do with this company again.

I wish 0 stars were an option for this company! We signed a contract with Tom back in May 2016 and cut him a $700 deposit for a simple patio project to be completed the third week of May. Tom has been unavailable since. We call every few weeks to track him down and we keep getting pushed off. It is now July 2016 and we have been notified that they do not have time for us. When booking with Sharper Edge we told Tom of troubles in the past with contractors. He ASSURED us that we would not get treated that way with his company. Now we have to start the process of finding another company who is sure to be booked for the rest of the summer and into the fall. I've never been so disappointed in a company. If you're thinking of booking with Tom and his company make sure you have a lot of time to wait and be disappointed!

Backyard oasis and more. Tom and his crew gave our family everything we were looking for, and more, in our backyard oasis. Friendly, hard working, patient with all our changes and modifications, and professional. They truly went above and beyond as the weather was our biggest challenge. The Sharper Edge team became family in the end. Thank you for our Oasis!

I was very pleased with the patio Tom and his crew installed for our family! We will enjoy many cookout there. His crew was very polite and helpful, and did not leave a mess. I recommend this company, in fact I will probably have him do some more projects for me!!

Sharper Edge has completed 3 projects for me over the last 3 years, including a pool this past year. I couldn't have been happier with the service. The projects were very clean, completed in a timely manner and Tom and his team stayed in constant communication.

Tom and his crew are amazing! The prices are reasonable. They were punctual and professional. We were very pleased with the service we received.
