I really don't like posting negative reviews but the experience I had with Stone Valley made me feel like I needed to warn the public about their work.

After my basement flooded, Servicemaster recommended Stone Valley to re-do the bottom 24 inches of drywall in a small bedroom in my basement and the laundry room. They were also supposed to re-do the baseboards, paint and hang new doors. Servicemaster told me that it should take Stone Valley approximately 3 days to get everything done. It took nearly a month to get them out to my house to begin work. Stone Valley sent out a supervisor, Rich, to do the work. The first day he was scheduled to come out, I informed him that Servicemaster would also be at the house finishing up any cleaning and taking their equipment. He informed me that it wasn't a problem.

When he showed up to my house on the first day he say that Servicemaster was in the basement and then informed my wife that he couldn't do anything until Servicemaster was done. He said the next date he was available was a week later.

The next week he showed up and said he didn't have everything he needed so he had to return to the shop to pick up supplies, costing 2 hours of the workday.

Throughout this entire process he could only make it out to our home once a week because he said he was so busy. As the weeks dragged by, he finally started getting things put back together. Immediately, though, I notice a lot of problem.

These problems included using 2 different types of non-matching baseboards; forgetting where some of the trim went; drywalling over an electrical outlet; laying baseboards at an angle so they weren't flat; forgetting to put baseboards in certain areas; improperly cutting the corners of the baseboards so they didn't match the rest of the room; not installing shelves that were previously there; improperly hanging doors; cutting one door with a 34 inch high doorknob and another one with a 28 inch high doorknob and, the most disrespectful thing he did was use by garage as a woodshop to cut doors, trim and baseboards without my permission. Now, everything in my garage is covered in sawdust, including four wheelers, photos, golf clubs, cars, etc.

In all, it took him 9 or 10 days (I lost count) to do a half-a**ed job. During this process I complained to Stone Valley about the workmanship so they sent the same guy out to fix his mistakes. Needless to say, he never fixed them and often took the easy way out of finishing the job. Finally I told Stone Valley that there were still several issues that needed to be addressed but that I would have to fix them because I did not trust that the "supervisor" who had been working on my house could actually get it done. In all it took almost 2 months to get a simple job done and I ended up doing half of the work myself.

I cannot recommend Stone Valley because I hope that no one has to go through what I did.

Wonderful experience with this company. We used them for 3 different projects. The work was completed on time and it was extremely well done. The staff we have worked with have been attentive and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

From start to finish the staff and workers on site were professional, respectfully, attentive to discussion, excellent communication throughout job, and left job site completely cleaned up. highly recommend; and my house looks great.

I found Stone Valley Painting to be great at planning and execution. All the staff were cooperative, efficient, and very courteous. My church will hire them again and again.

Find someone else. Very sloppy, to me, it looked like they got a group of people that have zero painting experience together to quickly paint my house and think I wouldn’t notice the following.

- No touch ups on the second level bc they said “I don’t do ladders”
- Paint on my gutters all around my house
- they left cigarette butts and trash (their lunch) in my bushes
- had to come back 4 times to scrape and still sloppy
- painted my concrete, entry way, ac unit, grill cover, firewood, concrete foundation
-power washed my wood siding so close they cracked it in multiple parts.

Don’t worry though, they quoted me then increased the price by $1,500 and we settled for them to not come back and continue to waste time touching up stuff that needs to be completely redone.

My loving wife wanted to surprise me for my birthday by having some ghastly wallpaper removed from our home and replaced by the paint of our choice. Thing is, I would be gone from home for only a few days, and it was a tremendous amount of work.

No problem for Brandon and his crew of Paula, Melissa and Dana. Prompt, professional and precise, they worked tirelessly until it was done. And it looks beautiful! Huge thanks!
