I didn’t expect a plumbing supply store to become my emotional support system, but here we are 🔧
I’ve been here almost every day for the last two weeks because my house is old and creates new problems every time I fix one (sink fell off the wall, shower said absolutely not, and now I’m fighting a prehistoric drain).
At one point I confidently bought the wrong part 😅 (because box store limitations) that’s when I found this place. Now instead of guessing and suffering, I walk in, explain my situation (usually poorly), and they hand me exactly what I need like plumbing wizards who have seen things 🪄
They’ve helped me troubleshoot multiple weird issues step by step and somehow never make you feel dumb, even if deserved 🏅
Also they have snacks and drinks ❤️ I don’t know if this is a plumbing supply store or a secret community support group, but I’m not questioning it.

I stopped in at Milford Plumbing Supply and met Daniel and the branch manager regarding a complicated parts-sourcing issue. Daniel was outstanding. I’m genuinely excited to have found Milford Plumbing Supply and to have connected with Daniel.

Hampel Plumbing is the best plumbing company in St. Louis. Their family owned and operated. They went above and beyond the line of duty. Very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I recommend them highly!

Steve hampel is a mensch. He's saved my bacon at least twice when I've lost control of my toilet at my house. I wasn't adequately equipped to solve my problem. He fixed my issue quick and easy (he DID have the proper equipment). He does his work at a fair rate too. The missing 5th star is only because the company as a whole doesn't necessarily return calls very quickly (ymmv). Hampel needs to work on that. With the work and prices though, they are second to none. Steve and his brother (Bill I think) are both very friendly and typically very prompt and punctual. If they aren't, they'll call and they'll have a good reason for lateness.

I tried to fix a jammed garbage disposal myself. While I was successful in fixing the jam, I couldn't get the disposal re-seated under my sink, so had to call a plumber anyway. I ended up calling four and Hampel was the only one with availability the next day; scheduling was easy, he showed up on time, he was super nice and professional, and he got the disposal reseated and functional pretty quickly given the difficult state of the pipes under our kitchen sink.

Our hot water heater died recently. I called Steve with Hampel the next morning and he said he'd be by around 11 AM. He arrived 15 minutes EARLY, diagnosed the problem, and quoted us a very reasonable price to remove the old heater and install a new one.

But get this: He also convinced our home warranty company to cover the cost. I didn't even think that was possible!

He was friendly, honest, prompt, and up-front about everything. This is why you go with local businesses instead of the big ones. I cannot recommend Hampel Plumbing enough.

Replied promptly and they were able to service a full kitchen and bathroom stack within a day. They are the nicest people you will meet too! You can tell they truly value what they do and that they take pride in their work. Will 100% use them again and recommend them to anybody who needs plumbing services.

My pipes were making a terrible squealing sound every time we flushed a toilet or ran the laundry. Hampel was responsive to my call and scheduled to come out the following day. The problem was identified quickly (pressure regulator) and the quote was way less than I expected. Steve was super courteous and upfront about the work. Everything fixed fast and no more ear-piercing squeal! Will definitely use them again for future plumbing my issues!
