A different company said my damper was "broken" and needed repair. They also said the chimney was so bad that it needed chemical treatment. Sweep it Honest showed me my damper was NOT in fact broken and that I just needed to push it harder to close it and also informed me he could clean it properly without chemicals and be ready to have a fire that evening. Great family owned business and I will use them again. 👍

Ok, where to begin. In a simple word Gino and his wife are awesome. And most importantly, just like their company's name, they are honest people. On the scheduling, she accommodated us with time and date that was most convenient for us. They both called to let us know that Gino will be a little late. And it was literally just a few minutes late. That's how good their work ethic and reliability is to their client.

We called them to inspect and clean the chimney for our 2 freestanding wood stoves. He inspected the chimney and found some issues that both systems are not suitable for use. He also found a problem on our dryer vent that could lead to a hazardous condition. It apparently vents into the basement ceiling instead of to the exterior of the house. Both are not good news for us but we're just thankful that we found these problems before a bigger problem could arise. He recommended a couple of companies that could fix it since it is beyond his scope of work. Their prices are reasonable. I compared them with several companies and their prices are lower than the others. He felt so bad that he didn't charge the chimney cleaning even though he vacuumed and cleaned a lot of creosote and only charged us for the chimney inspection on the 2 stoves and dryer vent inspection.
I just wish we knew them earlier when we bought our house.
