KC Hardscapes was very skilled in there work and kept me informed during the process. On site adjustments were handled in stride and with my full knowledge and understanding! Very professional and highly recommended!

I have collaborated with this team on two separate projects: brick patio with steps plus retaining wall and separate retaining wall. This is a top notch operation from start to finish. All members of the team are the utmost professionals; their strengths are customer service, high quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, great listeners and problem solvers. They want to do your project right the first time. Plus they are just downright nice folks. Highly recommend.

While our patio looks nice, the communication during this project has been awful. It has taken 4X as long as they said it would, all our grass died (they broke our sprinkler system and we couldn't water anyway during the project), and we are looking at thousands of dollars in additional costs. So, so disappointed with this company.

The 4-man crew - Evan, Johnny, Ulysus and James - assigned to my project were absolutely outstanding! I sent the owner a personal message that he was very fortunate to have them. They were on time, personable, knowledgeable, professional and experts at their craft. A++ for the crew.

I had Kansas City hard scapes come out to give me a bid for my outdoor kitchen area. Not only were they very courteous they really took time to understand what I was looking for not only for the summer but also for the winter. They asked me specific questions about when I did have a people over what was I looking for in the areas of entertainment. When it came to cost they were very knowledgeable and telling me what they thought would be best since my entertainment area faced the sun in the evening. They were the fourth company that I had come out and give me a consult. After doing business with them I will go nowhere else.

What a refreshing company to work with. My wife and I just got done building a house and I never knew what a nightmare it was to work with contractors and their sub-contractors - an endless circle of pointing fingers and no one accepting responsibility.

To quote the owner himself, " I wish I didn't have to write this, but I guess I do. It's how we communicate in 2017...through reviews..."
It's 2021 and we still have to communicate this way because the owner refuses to answer or return phone calls and text messages.
This project was secured over a year ago. They did not begin the work on our patio until January. Within a month, the sand/grout was coming out of the joints. After I had been promised this would not occur. It took until the week before Memorial Day for them to return and fix the issue. Upon cleaning up their mess that weekend, I noticed the sand/grout was coming out of the joints for a second time. @KitLewis is by far the worst small business owner in the city. After repeatedly asking him to just communicate with me for the fix, he ghosted every attempt I made at contacting him. I get it, we were a small job compared to the millions of dollars they make on larger projects. I had paid my invoice in full and therefore they could not be bothered to complete this job properly. At this time, they had to come out last week to re-level the pavers in half the patio. Leaving another round of dust and debris for us to clean up. Never mind the exterior paint on my house having to be re-done from the cement they threw all over the place and on my windows. The saving grace has been the manufacturing rep that has stepped in to complete the job. Likewise, I will give a shout out to the project manager. He has been the only one to communicate back with me when notified. While they may do "great" work for others, my recommendation is beware....if they don't complete the job properly and you've paid your invoice, good luck ever hearing back from them. I have waited to post this for fear that they just wouldn't ever show back up. I'm sure (as with other poor reviews) the owner will come on here and blame me for the disaster that has taken place. He has no accountability.

Our patio turned out great, but we had just built a large screened porch, and they were building an attached patio, wished they had at least told us about the amount of dust they would be creating, I would have moved furniture, they did hang a partial piece of plastic, but it was very ineffective, we had a lot of clean up on our porch, furniture and the screens when they finished. But they did do a nice job on the patio.

Just had a beautiful new paver patio completed by KC Hardscapes, it went smoothly and timely. The work crew did outstanding job- couldn't be happier- Highly recommend this company and team! Good honest group of people. Our project was expanding current patio area- having new concrete poured- steps created-pavers and edging done.

Kit and Derek and the whole crew at KC Hardscapes worked through the worst winter conditions to get our patio done by spring! It’s beautiful and gets compliments from friends and contractors alike! They addressed all of our needs and concerns as quickly as we asked. We’ve been enjoying our patio daily, rain or shine! We love it!
