I used this company last winter and at the time I felt satisfied. I had another problem with the same unit this last week so I called on them again. This time the estimate was extremely high. I felt I needed to look into another opinion. I am super glad I did bc it saved me a ton of money. CM Moses bid was for $2231.96. The quote did not indicate labor vs. cost of parts. I asked them for that and was told they don't/can't do that. But the biggest problem was they gave me a wrong diagnosis of the problem. The actual repair ended up being $375 including a couple of hours of labor. If you can't get an itemization of labor vs. parts how can you trust what you are paying for? It could be a simple-to-deal with part that doesn't cost much but they're charging you a lot of money for labor. I would never have my car repaired without knowing the cost of labor and the cost of the parts. I'm now very suspicious of what I paid for last winter especially since it's the same heating unit. Who knows? Either way, I won't work with a company that inflates/lies about a needed repair and is not transparent as to what they are charging me for.
Edited: Just keeps getting worse. While having my generator serviced by a local authoritize provider I was told that Generac has no record of my Extended Warranty. Yep....had to speak to (no affect, borders on rude - Jennifer). She was quick to tell me Sarah was working her position at the time of my purchase, but she would check into it. Somebody please rewire Jennifer....just nice should be part of her training and then move on to identifying with customers having problems. I recall getting Extended Warranty solicitations from Generac shortly after my installation and the Mose office told to just ignore them because I had an Extended Warranty. Now Generac says I don't. I really don't know how this company is getting a 4.9 Google rating. See my previous experience below. Administration = F Grade Amended review: I tried for 4 days to get a receipt after spending $13,000 plus dollars on an install. I have written and I have called. Multiple emails went to Sarah and a phone call as well. Today I reached Jennifer and was not impressed. I told her my frustration about trying to get a receipt over the last several days. You could tell she could not identify with the frustration and without any affect said I will send you one in the mail tomorrow. No word of apology, no word of let me check on it and see what happened. I can only hope that I do not need to go through the office to arrange service or something more severe. Getting a receipt should not be this difficult after a major expenditure like this. Clark, Matthew and Chandler worked as an efficient, expeditious and synchronized Team. There was no chatter as they almost silently went about their individual task installing my Generac Guardian 18 kw generator. They took time to show me what I needed to know when they were finished. I was so impressed that I bought the C M Mose maintenance agreement after Matthew explained logically why it is best to have one. BUY THEM LUNCH!
