Very happy!! Will definitely use again. They cut down a damaged tree with stump grinding, cleaned everything up and were out quickly. Smooth and skilled process, very reasonable price, as well!

I’ve used Duke’s three different times - twice for trimming and most recently to remove two large trees after a big windstorm. Each time the crew was friendly, worked hard, and did a great job cleaning up the massive branches left behind. The owner is easy to work with and very conscientious. I’d recommend them to anyone needing tree work done.

Chad Duke and his crew from Duke’s Tree Service, came early this morning and did some heavy pruning and shrub removal on our yard!!! These guys were AMAZING!!! They were prompt, polite, efficient and all around Awesome!! They cleaned up thoroughly after the job, and were done in under an hour!! Awesome company. Very very reasonably priced, professional. We had bids from five different companies. We live in Billings and Dukes is in Helena. Bid was the best and they could get it scheduled and we did not have to wait three to four months to get it completed. They cleaned up everything. Very impressive business!

I’ve employed Dukes to remove trees about four times over the past 10 years. They've consistently been; reasonable in their bids, prompt in arriving on site, skillful in removing, courteous, and very thorough in cleanup. They are highly recommended.

Cody “the duke” Knows his business, respectful, so knowledgeable. When he says he will be there he is and works till job is done to perfection. Employees are fun, respectful, and always do what is asked of them, wish I could have such hard workers in my business. We had a huge spruce come down on our house in the wind storm. Chad was great to work with, they really helped us out in a tough spot, his guys were great and I would recommend them to anyone.

This company does a great job. They worked with us for several years. We are in Montana city a 61 unit community and highly recommend them.

I've had Great Northern Landscaping spray weed and feed fertilizer on my half acre lawn this summer of 2023. They are busy so be patient and you will be pleased with the results. Keeps my lawn weed free and green, especially getting rid of clover. The price is reasonable compared to doing it yourself.

Our Homeowners Association has been with Great Northern Landscaping (formerly Montana Lawns) for 20+ years now. The lawn crew does a beautiful and careful job of mowing and they do not force us to mow every week in the late season when the grass isn't growing. The "budget billing" of six equal payments helps us budget future costs. Snow removal has always been timely and Brian and crew are very responsive to our needs. Not only does GNL plow our HOA streets, but they also remove snow on two large access streets which were installed as 'private streets' back in 1976 and thus the City of Helena won't plow. Six neighboring properties benefit from snow plowing of these Wildwood and Ferndale Lanes. Whenever there is an issue, Brian is just a quick phone call/text away. He also works with his clients to keep the costs of services at a reasonable amount. Very pleased.

Brian and his team at Great Northern were very professional and timely with our landscape project. We had a combination of hydro seed in front yard and sod in the backyard as well as concrete curbing and, sprinklers, rocks, plants, trees, etc… all on 2 acres of property. Everything turned out beautiful even our neighbors were impressed by our yard and are using them for landscape on their new home. Would highly recommend!!

Slate electrical saved us from disaster in our new home build. We hired a different local electrician for our new build and were very disappointed with his poor professionalism. We hired an architect to draw up electrical plans per his request just to have him disregard them and not follow them. We were lied to on multiple occasions about him finishing his job just to have him not even show up or give us the decency of a call to let us know he couldn't make it. We were put months behind on our timeline because of him. I had to beg him over and over to come to our job site and put in electricity he missed in several places and gave up on some of the extras I wanted because it wasn't worth it to try to get him out again. He harassed me for money the minute he was done with his "rough in" and charged us premium price for sloppy work. At this point it was going to be near impossible to get another electrician to do the finish work, but I fired him anyways and after I called Slate, they took time out of their busy schedule to come help us and fixed a lot of his mistakes, one being the range voltage the previous electrician put in was completely wrong even though I gave that electrician the proper specs of the range months prior. Slate had to cut out dry wall to fix some of his mistakes but did minal cutting and did a very professional and quick job. I was very impressed and will be hiring them again to do more work in the future.

I have been using Slate Electrical for a while now. Their exceptional customer service and desire to deliver proper and excellent electrical work is par to none. I would 100% recommend Slate Electrical and am so grateful for their whole team!
