Did a wonderful job taking down my large tree in the front yard!

The "Noreaster" made a mess of the Beagle Club with 25+ yo tall pine trees. Wed night a huge pine fell over, fortunately away from my house and not into my neighbor. I called Thurs 7am and the owner answered. He was a few blocks away already doing estimates. By late afternoon the tree was chopped up and removed. Clean up was quite good considering the new snow on the lawn and everywhere else. Very pleased

A Cut Above gave a quote for removal of a tree in my yard that they confirmed TWICE then showed up and wanted to charge $1000 more than quote and wouldnt do the work because the quote wasnt in writing (even though their guy on the spot confirmed we were right on the amount). Not our fault they didnt provide a written copy of the quote. And the tree was significantly less work than at the time of the quote because since then we had Asplundh do a third of the work (they were out there 7 hours and Cut Above said they would have done it in 90 minutes...yeah right) to get the branches on the street side removed. Will NEVER use them again.

I have used this company 2x for tree and stump removal. I also had them grind out bamboo. Bill was very honest and his team did a great job. I highly recommend using A Cut Above for all your tree needs.

Bill and his crew are the best. This is the second time we have used them to remove trees from our property! Gave us a quote and informed us when they would be in our area and the tree was cut, roots removed and stump ground in no time!!!

Did an ok job. Crew was pretty reckless with how they allowed large branches to fall to the ground, left some marring on my asphalt driveway. Attempted to contact and left a voice mail, no return communication. Happy with the price we received overall, but the trim job was a bit sloppy.

After several "No shows," I saw Bill's truck, contacted him. He came right out gave us a price and next day he returned with his crew--did the tree removal and stump job, and cleaned up. Could not ask for better or more courteous service.

I would like to say that A CUT ABOVE have done a fantastic job on removing two rather large trees from my property. They included the stump grinding in the quote. They have all showed the professionalism that I come to expect from a business. Fully insured, their insurance provider emailed me their certificate of insurance. I had gotten a few quotes that were outrageous and quite frankly suspect how good they could possibly be. They cleaned up the fallen branches, limbs, tree trunks and stump grinding chips that were left after the grinding completed. A CUT ABOVE took special care around my above ground pool over which the large back yard tree was. Not one mistake or blemish occurred during their visit.
They arrived at 7:30am and had both large trees mostly cut by noon.

They came out to do an estimate the next day after calling them. I received a fair price and the work was done 2 days later. Their crew removed the tree and cleaned up in less than 2 hrs. Overall great service.

They did a removal of a large oak tree that collapsed in my yard. I was placed in their work schedule right away at what I think was a fair price
They were at all times professional and polite. The removal and debris cleanup exceeded my expectations.

This past Monday evening we had a bad storm with high winds. A very large tree branch was left hanging over my yard. I feared for my dogs safety and the safety of my property and my neighbors property. I called 3 emergency removal companies. 2 never called me back (still..and it's been almost a week now) but Bill answered right away. He was out by 11am the next day with an estimate. Bill told me that he would be out with his crew Thursday morning at 7:30am. (Note: the branch was stable and there was no immediate danger) They arrived promptly at 7:25 and got started. The large branch was safely removed and they also removed a large dead tree for me. His team did an excellent and thorough job. They cleaned all the mess and debris and my yard looks much better now! I need a trim job soon on another tree and will definitely be calling Bill and his team again!

Bill and his team really care through for me. He was able to get to the site, provide a quote and get the job done within 24 hours. They are efficient, professional and affordable... what more can you ask for?! They did a great job getting rid of a few trees and stumps in my yard and cleaned up everything afterwards. I called A Cut Above to address two large oak trees that were taking over my backyard, making it dark and gloomy. Bill recommended trimming them to allow more sunlight in. Today, Bill and his crew showed up and whipped through the yard taking down the branches. They worked as an efficient team to cut and clean up. I was amazed at the speed and non-stop work ethic to get the job done. When they left, the yard was as if they were never there (except for the extra sunshine coming through!).

They did excellent job of cutting 1 tree and trimming 3 other trees. There were electric cables passing through tree but they cut tree very care fully and skillfully with stump grinding. They cleaned lot neatly afterwards. I did not need to negotiate price as they gave very reasonable quotes when I called them for estimate.

Last summer we had a bad storm and had some trees come down into our back yard onto our shed. A cut above was who the township had us use as the trees that came down were on township property. At one point, they cut part of a tree down which proceeded to fall on the gate of our vinyl fence, which created a large hole in the top piece of the gate. I brought this to the owners attention and was assured he would replace the gate. Fast forward to the fall and I still had not heard from anyone about the gate. I left a voicemail and received a call back and was told that a gate was ordered however it was going to take 9 weeks to come in, which sounded odd but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He NEVER contacted us back. Today he happened to be in our development working and we asked him about the status of the replacement gate. He told my husband that he never told me he ordered one, and said he would come back another day, take the gate and put plywood up in it's place and get it repaired. I contacted the company that put our fence in and was told after sending over photos, that the gate has to be replaced, that portion that is damaged is not something that can be repaired.
Not only did he not follow through, but to then have it implied that I was not being truthful about our phone call in the fall is absolutely unacceptable. Our fence was not even 2 years old when this occurred. We will definitely not be using this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I understand they are busy, however when you damage someones property while working, you should be insured (which I am sure they must be) and repair the damage you caused, not give customers the run around. We will not be having him take our gate, not only because the fence company stated that it can not be repaired, but also because I don't trust that we would ever see the gate again if our past interactions about this issue serve as an example.
