REVIEW FOR JONATHAN’S HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

Yes, this is a long review, but for good reason. Please take the time to read it, if you are looking for an excellent HVAC company.

Before I start, please know it’s rare for me to write a review for a company, but every once in a great while, I come across a company who truly deserves a positive review. Jonathan’s Heating & Air Conditioning Company is one of those rare companies that truly deserves a great review.

On May 1, 2024, I had a company (not Jonathan’s, as I hadn’t heard of them yet), install a brand new HVAC unit in my home. In mid-June of this year, 2025, my, just over 1 year old HVAC unit was only putting out “fan air”, not “air conditioned” air. (Of course, the warranty expired exactly 1 year after installation).

I put in a claim with my home warranty company. After several days of them not being able to find a company to come to my home to repair the unit, they finally gave me the option to find my own licensed technician to come out and diagnose the problem.

I called the original installer, figuring he could easily diagnose and repair the problem, but he said he was booked out for the next 5 weeks!!

So, I called many large and small companies that advertised that they can install and/or repair HVAC units. The earliest any of them could come out was about 10 days. Not only that, but most of them said they would not help me answer the questions required by the home warranty company about the HVAC unit’s issues, so that I could (hopefully) be approved for the repairs & get reimbursed later.

After many, many calls, I came across Jonathan’s Heating & Air Conditioning Company. Not only were they the least expensive price I was quoted by any of the other companies I called, to come out & diagnose the problem, but they were willing to help me submit the needed answers to the questions required by my home warranty company, so we could proceed with the repairs once the problem was identified. When I spoke with Alix, in the office, she heard the desperation in my voice. She said they would send out one of their techs the very same day!!

Their tech, Joe, did indeed come to my home that same day as promised. He diagnosed the problem. He took pictures and a video & he sat with me while I answered all of the home warranty company’s questions and submitted the pictures, (they do not accept videos), on their portal. The home warranty company called Joe, while he was still at my house & said they wanted more pictures. Joe took more pictures and I submitted them. His patience level was nothing short of exceptional while we waited for the warranty company’s decision. They did not make a decision that day. In fact, the home warranty company took days to make a decision.

Alix, in the office, was kind and compassionate. She knew my cat & I were suffering on the 100 degree days we were having in NJ. Joe, their technician, was just as kind and compassionate as Alix. During the waiting period (because of the home warranty company’s delay in reaching a decision), Alix and Joe continued to have good communication with me to see if there was anything else needed by the warranty company.

On two occasions, I spoke to the owner, Jonathan. He explained in more detail, but in layman’s terms that I could understand, exactly what the problem was for my own knowledge and in case the warranty company asked me any additional questions.

The whole experience with Jonathan’s Heating & Air Conditioning was exceptional. The pricing, the quality of workmanship, the communication, the willingness to answer questions I had & the willingness to help me answer the home warranty’s questions, etc., by far exceeded my expectations. I would, without reservation, recommend them to my family and friends (and anyone else reading this review), should any of you have any HVAC issues.

Just had Jonathan’s Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning come out for some maintenance. They sent out their technician Tyler who was great and quick. I can always count on them to come quickly and do a good job. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to use them in the future.

Joe what can I say? He made the reverse siren sound from the shower (seriously, go away like Magic), but when it comes down to business, he’s all professionalism. Highly knowledgeable, skilled, and just an all-around great person.

If you need plumbing or HVAC work done, he’s your guy. Fast, efficient, and on point—this was a big job in the plumbing world, and he knocked it out in just an hour.

Support your local mom-and-pop businesses. Honestly, they’re the best.

They were here for a while and got everything running. Very nice and mannerly and cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend them to my friends.

Excellent customer service! I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful company that accommodated me literally the same week I was having the issue and the leak. They were able to squeeze me into their schedule and sent Jake over to diagnosis our issue. Jake’s professionalism was amazing and I loved the fact that he was very detailed in explaining the process. Overall, I had a great experience as a new homeowner searching for a reliable & trustworthy company to handle all my concerns with the new property! I will definitely be a new loyal customer! The people were great. I called on a Sunday about my hot water heater and they were willing to come out Sunday night. I told them they didn't have to, but asked if they could do Monday morning and they did. They were so accommodating and professional. Thank you Jonathan's Plumbing Heating & Air.

Had problems with my furnace overfilling the boiler, and Joe found the problem, got the appropriate parts, and fixed it! And on top of that, he was polite and professional! Bravo, Jonathan's!

Technician Joe B. Was terrific! Came as scheduled, listed to what my concerns/issues were with my central AC, checked it out, and gave me a thorough, easy to understand evaluation. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and compassionate to my concerns. In the future, for any AC, heating or plumbing issues, I’m calling Jonathan’s and asking for Joe.

Jonathan's Team was amazing. They replaced my 2nd zone AC System. You could not even tell they were in my home. They cleaned up as they worked. They are super friendly and easy to talk with. Jonathan gave me the best price and they used high-end equipment.

I have nothing but great things to say about Jonathan‘s plumbing. They were a tremendous help and their services were very cost-effective. I ran into one of their plumbers while I was at Lowe’s, looking for the parts to fix my problem. When I told him I was planning to fix the problem myself, he was actually really helpful and showed me what I would need to use and gave me some description of how I would do it. He did then tell me that if I wanted to use their services, that they would give me a great price and could see me as early as the next morning. I declined as I was set to fix it myself. Just My luck, I ran into problems because plumbing issues are always unique… I reached out to them first thing in the morning and asked them if they could still try to get me in. Their schedule for the morning was now booked, but they were able to shuffle things around and get me in. And still for a very affordable price got out here and helped me out very quickly. They did fantastic work and their plumbers are really good guys who know what they’re doing. Highly recommend!

Very professional and great communication the staff who installed my new central air conditioning unit and furnace did a fantastic job. Owner helped keep my old unit running until my new system was installed to get us through a heat wave. Would recommend Johnathans to anyone that needs hvac and we now have a trusted contractor to use in the future.

There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude towards Johnathan and his excellent workers. Needless to say I ran into such an awful problem and the first plumbing man I went with basically robbed me when he kept charging me for estimate after estimate but never fixed or done any work. I then took matters into my own hands and called Johnathan and let me just say the quick effective response I received from him was AMAZING!!! He immediately came out figured out the problem and within a week I was back to normal. In the process of the week he did manage to temporarily make it manageable for me to continue to use my water which is something the other plumber didn’t do.
Instead just kept charging me for nothing!!! I would choose Johnathan and his crew over and over again!! Please take my advice and my horrible experience from other plumber that Johnathan is definitely the go to Man!!! I don’t even know if there’s enough thank yous to express how much Johnathan saved my life and so quick too. Again him and his crew deserve the #1 Award in my eyes!!! If any one ever has a plumbing issue you would not be disappointed when you call Johnathan. Honest and trustworthy on top of his wonderful service!

When my air conditioner stopped working, I called Jonathan's and was scheduled the very next day for a service call. Tyler came out and not only was he professional, but he diagnosed the problem immediately and then did a thorough check of the unit to be sure that everything else was running well. When you have top-notch service people who show up and know what they are doing they deserve way more than five stars! Don't hesitate to call these people.. you will not be disappointed!

The techs arrived when scheduled. Installed cast iron sink and faucet as well as replacing a supply line valve. They also connected the gas line on a new gas range. They completed the job with great attention to detail and they were very personable. When complete they cleaned the work area including vacuuming and disposed of the old double sink, faucet and packaging. Very happy with the results. Definitely will use for future jobs.

Our furnace stopped working (wouldn’t ignite) on Saturday night. Around 9pm, I contacted several local places that claimed to have 24/7 service to try to get a tech to come out. Some places didn’t answer my call, and those places that did answer were really expensive for a weekend service (one place was $325 minimum to come out Sunday morning).

Fortunately, I came across Jonathan’s, and their prices were much more reasonable. I contacted them via text, and Jonathan responded fairly quickly saying they could come out that same night, but if we could hold off until the next day, the rate would be a little cheaper. I said we were willing to hold off until the next day, and he advised me to open our faucets slightly to keep water flowing overnight to prevent our pipes from freezing (overnight temperatures fell into the low 20s). Jonathan kept us in the loop with regular updates until a tech was dispatched out to us the following day.

Tyler was the tech who came out. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to identify potential issues and fixes. It took him about 30 minutes or so to get our furnace back up and running. Making the payment was easy as well. I was able to pay via Apple Pay. This was a great experience all around. I’d highly recommend these guys if you’re looking for quality service at a reasonable price.
