I am happy to report that due to new ownership I could not be happier with the service we have received from TriState.. Our experience with the prior owners was an absolute nightmare that we have been trying to correct since 2019.

When Ben Stern took over I cannot tell you what a difference in professionalism. He spent many hours trying to figure out what our issues were. He was kind, efficient and kept his word. I was very impressed with his knowledge of solar panels.

I think with Ben there you will get excellent service and a quality product!

New owners took over after the previous owner bailed, having alienated customers with abysmal service. I always thought that at least the installation had been done properly. Alas, this year I noticed water stains on the ceiling, and looking up in the attic saw evidence of seeping in the beams. I knew there were new owners to Tri-State Solar, and I reached out to them. They sent their roofer, who informed me the racks had been installed into the tongue and groove boards and not the rafters, and over the past five years had shifted and buckled. I needed plywood over the boards so the whole roof on that side had to be replaced. The new owners met me halfway because part of the problem was the asphalt shingles and part was the shoddy installation. They gave me a discount and re-did the whole thing the right way. Of course I’m frustrated the cost will delay the payoff time, but now I feel confident in the longevity of the system.

DISREGARD THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

Tristate solar is under new ownership and they do an unparalleled job. My panels are up and running & they were super helpful every step of the way. Their customer service and project manager spent hours on the phone and in person advising me on which system would best suit my needs. Their quote undercut any other by far!

They helped me get close to 50,000$ in rebates, tax credits, & low interest solar financing!

Installation was done by the most competent, professional, and courteous crew.

My panels were very poorly installed, they promised me a one time free removal and reinstalling when I am ready to replace my roof. However, when I called and told them that I am ready to replace my roof, they wanted to charge me $200 per panel (I have 24 panels). I just paid someone else $165 per panel, after removing the panels, the guy showed me so many things that were wrong during the installation.

Excellent company with clear estimates and follow through. Rock solid installation through out. I was able to view four installations before committing. Transparent process with diligent attention to details well after the installation and PTO were completed.

Was looking into Solar and called about 6 different companies for quotes. All six showed up but 4 of them couldn't be bothered to actually give me a price. Rico and Ben came out to the house and immediately impressed me with their knowledge and professionalism. Follow up was terrific and answered all of my questions in a timely and complete manner. Ultimately decided that it's not the right time for me to invest in solar, but when I do move forward, it will be with Tri State Solar.

I cannot speak to their work because we did not make it that far. This company was recommended by the NYS website. I contacted them for a solar project. They had me submit a $1000 deposit. Everything was smooth until, one of their lenders went bankrupt. I have opt no to proceed with work because I did not want to have my credit pulled again for a new lender and I have other projects. They refuse to refund the $1000 and they charge for a site visit and design etc. No other company charges for that.

Stay away, there are better companies out there.
