Yesterday Alfie from A-1 General came to give us a quote on a water filtration system which he said would take no time to install. He worked so hard and was quite diligent. The next day our guest bathroom required a new flapper and he came within ten minutes of my calling the office. He was not only extremely pleasant but he quickly solved the problem. I would recommend this company highly and would definitely contact this firm again should the need arise.

I had an appointment scheduled for today between 1&4 it's 437 and no plumber or call as of yet first time costumer right here.... Not the best way to start off.

Three days straight of scheduled appointments for an estimate, and three days straight of staying at home and waiting, multiple phone calls and promises and no one ever showed up.

A man named Jay came and destroyed my 3 yr old bathroom. Ruined my grout, left tillet paper and feces inside my shower. Turned my white grout black. Tracked wax onto my hardwood floor, ruining the finish. Never again!

Carl was prompt and responsive. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix my issues on a Sunday. I am very happy with their work. I highly recommend this company

This company is great. Had a clogged sewage line. They had Carl here in less 30 mins. Fixed the drain in 30 mins and price was beyond reasonable. Incredible company and Carl is one of the best people I have ever met.

As a plumber for almost 30 years that specializes on the construction side of the business I have had pleasure of using A-General several times on jobs that needed sewer and drain cleaning. I recommend them to all my customers who need this service. They are professional, fair priced and honest...unlike some of their competitors. Have recommended them hundreds of times over the years and not once has one of my customers been dissatisfied. A-General is truly 10 steps above the rest in their field.

Needed a company out before I left out of town. They answered on the weekend and the woman was very professional and friendly. Explained they could get someone out Sunday and they don’t charge any obscene weekend dispatch fees, etc.

Jay was the man. Friendly and professional when he pulled up. Communicated great and was respectful of the house. Figured out the issue right away, explained what needed to get done, and was transparent about pricing — which was completely reasonable.

After fixing it, he even explained why the issue happened and tips on how to prevent it again. Great guy

Rick came to my house this evening to repair the the toilet fill valve. He was very professional and quick. I also liked the fact that he was honest with me. I thought that I needed a new water valve and was told that it was still in good condition. I would definitely call A-General again when needed.

I called A-General on a Saturday because of a leak on my kitchen sink. The woman answering the phone said she’d have someone there within an hour, and their plumber showed up on time. He said there was too much tape on one of the pipes and that was causing the leak, despite our telling him the leak was there before we put the tape on in an attempt to fix the issue. None the less, he charged us a service fee of over $100 and was on his way. Fast forward to Monday, I discovered that sure enough, the pipe was leaking again. I called A-General back and let them know the issue was not resolved, and we paid a service fee for something that was not fixed. The woman answering the phone was rude and abrasive, indicating he must have “fixed something”, and that we’d have to pay for them to return. She then insisted that since I was there, I must have known what he was doing. As someone who is not a plumbing professional, I would not have been able to tell her what he did or did not so, yet she insisted I know what was done and how the sink was now leaking. They also said I could not have another plumber come out, it had to be the same one, despite his failure to identify and correct the issue the first time. She said she’d send him back the following day, but honestly, the unprofessional nature of this company, and their mediocre “fix” led me to have another professional come in who could actually fix the problem instead of just taking my money. It’s now fixed, it needed an entirely new pipe, which their “professional” should have known when he came out to look in the first place. I wouldn’t trust this company with any significant work.

I cannot say enough about the incredible service and expertise of this company. We had an emergency situation at our office with a water main leak. From the moment the phone was answered to the completion of the job, they were top notch. They had a worker out within an hour of the initial call. They assessed the problem and came back the next day. Kevin, the plumber that did our job was exceptional. If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! He was an amazing worker, communicated about everything he was doing, made phone calls to the town and was pleasant and kind. His workers that worked alongside him were equally terrific. They finished a very messy and difficult job all in one day and clearly knew what they are doing. You simply could not ask for a better company and employees to do your work. This was our second time using the company and we had a great experience the first time as well. Thank you for getting us back up and running and making an unpleasant situation bearable.
