Steve, Kevin, and the whole team are some of the best customer service I've experienced in Westchester. Jobs that involve contractors are hard work and there is a LOT of trust involved with the prices involved, the amount of new people on you property etc. Mainstreet knows this and is very respectful, sensitive and communicative. I will gladly recommend them to anyone. Good, honest people. They installed two French Drains and a new lawn in my backyard. Real attention to detail.

They are gardeners and try to take other handyman works, even home remodeling. Not qualified and bad quality...To make matters worse, they demonstrated a complete lack of integrity, causing delays of over six months. Their work did not pass plumbing, electrical, and alarm system inspections, and there are more than three serious building code violations. I need to terminate this company and hire another to rectify their mistakes. In the end, they placed a mechanic's lien on my property and claimed the full contract amount.

ZERO stars. Quite possibly the worst contractor in Westchester (or the country?). To say they only ruined my home would be a massive understatement - they ruined my life for a solid year. They are a lawn service company masquerading as a renovation company and literally do not have the knowledge or experience to do any sort of home repairs. They got a stop work order which landed me in a hotel for 10 days, they failed inspection multiple times, they installed a window in the wrong place and left a hole in the side of my house during a storm (all of the siding had to be replaced by my new contractor), they ruined my kitchen cabinets upon installation (cabinets which cost $10,000 and they charged me $24,000), they neglected to insulate my windows even after the Buildings Inspector pointed it out, they purchased the wrong windows and tried to replace the stickers, my windows also were not nailed in, they installed plumbing in the wrong spot and all of the plumbing had to be redone because it failed inspection, one of the most egregious errors was when they made the doorway to my laundry room too small so if I ever needed to remove the washer and dryer, I would have to take the DOOR FRAME off. Not only that, they cut down my brand new door to fit into this opening that was too small. These are just a few of the horrific mistakes that were made - there are so many more. The workers treated my house like a garbage dump - so many of my personal items were completely ruined because of how messy they are not to mention that they never cleaned up. I could go on and on. My only hope is that they go out of business and don't put anyone else through what I went through.

This is the first summer I have used Main Street and I am so happy to have found this company. John, Paulie and Victor are the best crew. They pay attention to the little details and make sure the customer is always satisfied. Paulie even went above and beyond and trimmed my bushes in front of my home. It was such a pleasant surprise to walk out my front door and see that my bushes received some much needed TLC. If you want a company that is polite, professional and punctual, look no further! So glad I found Main Street Home & Garden and I make sure to recommend them to all of my friends :)

Love Rosedale, accessible from S.M.P. and Rt 9a ..Has a nice selection of gardening amd houseplant materials. Also carries Landscape material/trees & Annual Plant starts .

Called to simply inquire about soil pricing since it is not clearly listed on their website. Employee on the phone was unprofessional and rude, quickly becoming agitated and short with me after asking about pricing.

Extensive inventory in a spacious layout. Received extensive assistance and recommendations for our selections. Will definitely make this place our top choice for future plantings.

Just called down there and the nastiest person ever picked up the phone!!!! I have no idea how people even order from this place! I just asked about a delivery and the nasty lady said they only deliver certain days. So then I asked ok what day is best? She rudely said don't know you would have to speak to a sales person. I said ok can I please speak to one? She said nope there all busy. Like ewww RUDE!!!!

Stopped by just to take a quick look at the place. We entered and nicely said hello to the older lady behind the counter and we received nothing but nasty faces and an attitude. Will never be returning purely because of how we were spoken to.

Staff was rude. I felt as though I was intruding. They didn't seem like they wanted to even sell me a tree. That's fine. There are several nurseries in the area. I will take my hard-earned money where it is appreciated.

Great nursery a lot of selection on plants

A designer from Rosedale's Landscaping department has been advising us over the past year. Kevin has carefully studied our home (situated halfway up a hill) and surroundings. He worked with our contractor to design lovely stone walkways and walls. In the Fall, he planted the most amazing selection along the front and sides of our home. Since the beginning of the season, there have been a number of shrubs, bulbs and other plantings that bloom simultaneously and add luscious color and contrast. We are just completing a major landscaping project in our back garden/hillside/patio and additional work in the front yard. Kevin's design and advice is top notch and the selection and quality of plantings he brings from Rosedale is outstanding. We would highly recommend their landscaping department and in particular the services of Kevin Magnan. He is such a lovely man (kind and gracious) and very, very talented. He has taken this property from a house to a gracious, stately home for us.

This place is MASSIVE!!! But you do have to wander around a bit on your own before you find someone to help, which is fine by me because I love browsing! They have something for everyone: indoor, outdoor, pots, planters, garden benches, sprays, liquids, tools, books, etc...
Don't come here if you are in a hurry, but for variety and healthy plants this place is remarkable.

In 5 years of shopping at Rosedale, I've always found the staff courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

More importantly, the selection of plants is tremendous and--MOST importantly--the plants I've bought at Rosedale have consistently been the healthiest, most vigorous and long-lived specimens. You can grab a petunia at Home Depot, but if you're really shopping for plants, go to Rosedale.
