Horrible experience. Totally unprofessional owner who skillfully ripped me off. I think owner's biggest problem is his lack of understanding of how to follow up & how to listen to customer. By his own admission, he is not a landscape designer. He ended up reneging on his annual lawn contract with one month left. Cannot be trusted. BEWARE!

I hired John to do some tree pruning as well as to address two areas that were always soaking wet in the back yard. John came with his men and did the work for us right away. We were very satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism of John's crew and would highly recommend using his firm.

I can't say enough good things about John and his team at Helmke Industries. Once I had removed all the old and over-grown plants at my home, my wife and I knew we needed a professional to design and install a simple an easy to maintain landscape that was also beautiful and increased the home's curb appeal. John worked with us very closely to ensure we were happy with each plant he would use and the project came out beautifully. We've had John back a couple of times for additions and refreshes to the landscaping and he is always a pleasure to work with and the job is done right. Helmke doesn't disappoint!

Helmke Industries was recommended to me by my realtor. I checked them out as well as other companies. Their prices were very reasonable, and I really wanted to go with them because of the great customer service I received from the receptionist on the phone. She wasn't rushing me and was very friendly and cheerful. When I spoke to John the owner, he also was very friendly and knowledgable. The workers at Helmke go above and beyond. They make sure that everything is perfect before they leave. They even reinstalled some lighting fixtures that got knocked out because of the snow and fixed our lawn furniture that was moved around because of the wind. If the work is not done to your 100% satisfaction, John sends his workers back to make everything perfect. I strongly recommend this company not only for lawn maintenance, but for tree removal too! They are the best around!

They are the best, they did a great job on at new planting at my house. The staff was very knowledgeable on plant material. And the staff was polite to me and my family!

John Helmke provided me with excellent over all service for my outside drainage system (New basin, repaired existing basin, dug a canal around my garage to a catch basin) and a new lawn. He explained in details on how he was going to tackle the job spending about 2 hours with me while he examined his scope of work. He made great suggestions and drew out a plan for me. He implemented the work profesionally and was always at the site making sure everything was done 100% correct. He was easy to communicate with and always came through when I needed him. I am well please with his work and would definitely call him for future work. Thank you Mr. Helmke.

Helmke Industries and John Helmke runs a fantastic business. I’ve used John for years for various one-off projects (extensive rebuild of a rock farmers wall, an almost 1000sqft paver patio and fire pit with flower beds and plantings, and most recently a planting of over 120’ line of Green Giants). John is reliable and honest, makes great recommendations and conveys his extensive knowledge of his trades. Communication exceeds expectations. John is on site himself setting his teams up and always checking in with them. His guys are skilled and do great work, clean up, and are respectful. Highly recommend.

This company is wreck less and I hope no one does any business with them. This truck ran me off the road as well as another vehicle the driver seems to suffer from some sort of road rage. He is also apparently the owner of the company which is extremely dangerous unprofessional and there are better options out here to do business with.

Had some work done by this company, after many attempts to try to rectify some issues that emerged to no avail decided to write this review. I have try to get them to fix these issues for about almost a year. I would not recommend them because of their irresponsible practice. Had some stairs done and the rocks are falling off.

Needed wood fence...10 pieces.
Garden center had 6 pieces...3 busted up.
There were several pallets on upper racks. Asked sales person to get someone to lower the pallet of like 24 pieces. After 15 minutes a garden worker came and said it would be a hour wait as he needed help to unload the pallet. 1 star.

Went to Lumber yard and sales person was extremely helpful....a manager assisted me getting 10 pieces of fence from their stock..... 5 stars.
