Substandard cleaning service. Charged me for for extra hours and my apartment was still left dusty and dirty in many places.

This company is a fraud! They advertise false services and prices. Once you call them out they say that they have to refuse service even though you pre pay!! This company is the worst and they are crooks! I’m about to take them to court, it’s not about the money but out of principal, how many people that they have ripped off?? The only reason that I rated in a 1 because you can’t give them a zero!!!

I’ve used this company twice & the cleaners always show up late. The service was so so but I figured I’d be supportive. However, I find the owner or contact person to be rude & unprofessional & that's a deal breaker for me. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Have a Groupon for 2- and 3- bed apts with this service. Jamroe says it only applies to places with one bathroom. That's nowhere in the fine print.

This was my first time using a cleaning service and I LOVED it! I was hesitant to have strangers come into my apartment and clean, but Jamroe cleaning service were really trustworthy and reliable. They did a great job and are always flexible with my schedule

Ok people.... Let me tell you this much. I "have not" received any services from this company. I was "looking" to hire them using a Groupon special for 65 dollars for 3 hour cleaning service. To me this was a good opportunity to see if I can "find an extra helping hand" with cleaning my home because of my back injuries. Now, this coupon doesn't specified whats included and basically just states that cleaning supplies are not included but as much as details goes, to what is included, it really doesn't specify in details. I reached out to "ask" a few question. I am a thorough person, I like to know what I am paying for and when the services doesn't specifies in details things included, I'm going to ask, looking for answer until I understand. Jamroe "poor lack of customer service" just explained it's a general cleaning, that's what's included, that's not telling me nothing much, general cleaning to me is unspecific details. It doesn't really explain what a company is offering. In addition, I'm one who "does not" like to get "caught up" with any extra "unexpected charges." If I'm going to pay for something as well as anyone, I would like to know is there any extra charges. If I want to know the final cost of something, its in my right to ask. Jamroe refused to tell me the final cost. After asking questions and the poor receptionist who lacked professionalism and being incompetent, I was told by the company and I quote " I am sorry, but as per my manager we will not be able to extend service to you". When I saw this text message, I was very surprise they even had the nerves to text me such message, declining me from being provided cleaning services because I "asked too many questions." When I called she try to act as if she didn't know who I was. After verifying my number she all of a sudden remember who I was, "refused" to give me a reason why I was being declined. I asked her why more than once, there was NO legitimate reason why Jamroe was declining services, she stated "the manager doesn't seem comfortable to provide services for you". I wonder was I asking too many questions or did the extra work I asked about was to much for them to handle. So, you're looking to run a business and provide whatever suit you and charge an arm and a leg, for "small scale poor services." You mean to tell me that you actually have people who are customers and are ok with you coming to their home and just sweeping the floor and you charge them $150 an hour for that. You mean to tell me that 3 hours of cleaning only includes sweeping the floor, wiping the table and if you have enough time clean the bathroom or maybe take out the trash, all this is what general cleaning means to you. It doesn't to me. Oh and by the way as stated from the company "We cannot guarantee you that your entire home will be clean" so 3 hours isn't good enough to sweep and dust a "one bedroom apartment". I simply wanted to know if my kitchen, bathroom, room and living room would be cleaned, I wanted to know if the 65 dollar coupon I was looking to use is the final cost, I was informed of the extra charges for any other services. With that information I proceeded to "ask" if "folding and organizing the clothes for 27 an hour" plus the 65 dollar "coupons" will totaled up to 92 dollars, is this the final cost to payment. Excuse me for not wanting to have someone come to my house and help me clean and end up having to get sued or go through any type of hardship because all of a sudden I have to come out of pocket and excessive amount of money, I don't have, just because I didn't ask questions. I don't think that asking question would cause anyone to feel uncomfortable I think it's because I'm Hispanic... lmao!!!! I'll post pictures later

I had a very unpleasant experience dealing with this business. They accused me -- a customer -- of lying when I showed them proof that I wasn't lying. But they did not care. When I informed them that I was going to let Groupon know how I was treated by them, they told me - "go ahead." For anyone who wants to do business with them - I highly recommend that you think twice.

This service is fraudulent! They are listed on Groupon. I purchased cleaning from they via Groupon. I called to set up cleaning for my apartment, and the representative told me they would NOT honor my purchase with Groupon, but I could make a deal with him privately.. THIS WAS ALREADY A RED FLAG! I told him I had purchased through Groupon, because they were listed with them and it was non-refundable. He kept interrupting me saying I needed to make a deal with him personally and dispute my charge with Groupon. When I told with this wasn't possible, he became extremely rude and anger! PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANIES SHADY PRACTICES!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM ON GROUPON.... IT'S A SCAM!!

I recently need service last minute for an empty apartment that I was moving in. I called Jamroe and booking was a breeze. Our cleaner Carmen was very professional and thorough. She knew exactly what she was doing. She cleaned all my closets and cupboards, without being told. Even my mom was surprise, and she is a "neat freak". My mom already booked her cleaning. I will recommend this company to my friends and family. Thank you Jamroe!!!

I was given a voucher for a birthday gift that was purchased on Groupon for 4 hours of cleaning for a 2-3 bedroom apartment. When I called to redeem my coupon I asked if they could come on Sunday. I was told my voucher isn’t valid for Sunday’s. She asked me “how many bathrooms do you have’? When I said “I have 2 bathrooms”. I was told that my voucher is invalid because it’s for a 1 bathroom only”. I said that my voucher only mentions 4 hours for a 2-3 bedroom and I told her that they can just clean one bathroom ‘ she told me that my voucher is invalid”! What a racquet! Don’t trust this company. I wouldn’t let them step foot in my home with values like this.

DO NOT USE Jamroe. After purchasing a groupon, there was a miscommunication between me and our cleaning lady, Cheryl. Cheryl was 25 minutes late, and she was clearly out of sorts about how late she was, which I totally understand. I explicitly asked her to not clean one room, and she clearly focused on that room for hours. Cheryl is lovely and did a marvelous job in that room (which should not have been cleaned), but she totally skipped other rooms in my apartment. When I texted the phone number to ask that the situation be rectified so that the rest of my apartment may be cleaned, I was immediately met with attitude. I was told that a manager would contact me. And he did. The manager was just downright mean. He had clearly called me in anger and had already decided everything I was saying was a lie. He made every effort to make me feel small and unimportant, including threatening legal action against me (like, how and for what?).

I can honestly say that all of my transactions with Jamroe has been positive and pleasant. They are very flexible with finding staff to cover last minute requests. They have been very accommodating and the staff are quite pleasant, engaging, and very thorough with their cleaning. My experience with their employees is they play close attention to detail and address my requests in a prompt and thorough manner! Today experience with Lorette was a complete joy! Very thorough, friendly and pleasant. I will be requesting services rendered by her again soon

Their service was beyond my expectations. I called for a same day cleaning and if they could send me a maid within two hours and they sure did. The maid was professional and courteous. She cleaned my kitchen small room, bathroom, and living room in less than four hours. This was the first time my bathroom got this clean in years, she was amazing. My apartment was soooooo clean when she left. Also, her phone was ringing and she didn't even want to waste time answering the phone like other maids I had. Next time I need a maid I'll sure call Jamroe Cleaning Services.

I purchased a voucher on groupon and it is worthless. I checked again after speaking to the representative to make sure i hadn't read incorrectly but basically they seem immediately upset that they issued discounted vouchers- immediately told me that the voucher i purchased only covered a 2 bed 1 bath apartment for a "regular clean" whatever that is (neither cleaning service nor number of bathrooms not listed on groupon voucher), he had no interest in discussing how i could use the voucher. It seems like a bait and switch given that they immediately start pricing out the "correct price" of the service you actually require regardless of what you want or what the groupon covers. The man i spoke with should never be in contact with customers and is extremely rude; this company is simply not worth the time and energy. I happily spent $180 with emaids just so that i didn't have to mess around with this bunch of idiots.

I have used Jamroe for 2 years now and I like their services plus very reasonable. They are always responsive and I’ve had the same person come the several times. The housekeeper is very thorough and extremely pleasant. I have a two bedroom apartment in NYC. They can clean it great in 4 hours. I would recommend their service.

I should have listened to the review where the customer recommended for others to stay away... Definitely a buyer beware situation..... Although the Groupon voucher I purchased stated cleaning services for a “2-3 bedroom residence”, when I attempted to schedule an appointment I was told that “the voucher is for an apartment with 2-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom only”. The fact they they would mislead future customers is appalling and I hope Groupon would seriously reconsider doing business with a company like this.

i purchased a voucher via Groupon and had a similar issue that a previous reviewer had. when they asked about the size of my apartment (that was the correct size via the groupon purchased), they said it only applies to one bathrooms, and then tried to get me to spend $180 additional to have my apartment cleaned, saying that my apartment is unusually large (not so). For reference, the Groupon says NOTHING about the number of bathrooms, only number of bedrooms. I would not trust them to come into my living space. Scam.
