My wife and I worked with Felipe Gomes and Modern Tradition last year during a full rebuild of our home. Felipe helped with the design of our kitchen and two of our bathrooms, and we’re thrilled how everything turned out.

This was a massive project and we knew the kitchen, in particular, had to be the center of our home. It involved many moving parts, and Felipe partnerned with us the entire time. Our kitchen - and entire home - is everything we had hoped.

From start to finish, Felipe got things done. We are happy to say that his design provided for more space and light than we had anticipated. The color schemes and materials he helped us choose made for a wonderful addition to a home that had been nearly destroyed after a pipe burst last January. Felipe guided us through the design we only partially imagined. He provided us with insight to what would make sense, personal touches to distinguish our kitchen which complimented our tastes and was very responsive on giving us on-line mock-ups so we had a clear understanding of what the finished product would be.

Chris was very clear on what we were to expect in regards to the whole project. The costs, the timing and work were all worked out prior to the beginning. There were no surprises once it began, and he was on top of the whole project. If we had questions, we could call, he was always responsive.

The Riverview Team were always on time, clean, and courteous. Melvin and the guys were very professional and easy to work with. I work from home, in the room next to the kitchen. I didn't even think they were there half the time. I would come out of my office and be shocked, in a good way, at what they did on any given.

Really, I can't say enough on how my wife and I were satisfied with the whole experience. I would recommend Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath for any renovation. Thanks guys!

I purchased Fieldstone Cabinets back in 2003, and had an issue with the wood on one of the doors. I called Modern Kitchen and was assisted by Felipe to implement the lifetime warranty, and send me a replacement. It was a back and forth for weeks, but Felipe advocated for my case and the warranty was finally honored. Not only did I receive the replacement door but also a second door, since the two were part of the under sink cabinet, and needed to be the exact same color. Felipe was professional and persistent in getting my new door (s), and they arrived at my home within days. I cannot thank Felipe and MK enough for their excellence!

I was just starting a kitchen renovation and I was not sure where to start.
All I knew was that I didn't want to use a big box store.
I have driven by Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath in Thornwood many times, as it is right in my neighborhood, so I decided to contact them. I sent an email and the owner, Felipe & he was prompt getting back to me. He redesigned the kitchen and the new layout made a big difference. He accompanied me to choose quartz for the countertops and sent me to a local reliable appliance store in Hawthorne to order all the appliances. He communicated with the appliance store and made sure upon delivery, everything would fit, etc. I am very pleased with the entire renovation.
The company that manufactures the cabinetry was quick at shipping, I had
heard that people were waiting 6 months for their cabinetry to come in.
When the kitchen was complete, I was very pleased and decided to have Modern Tradition completely renovate the entire townhouse.
I am truly pleased that I went with a small, local place in town. Felipe was a pleasure to work with. If you are in need of renovations for a kitchen or bath, etc., I would give Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath a try.

Filipe and Chris did an excellent job in renovating our kitchen. We had limited space and had to make decisions and compromises as the project proceeded. Every step of the way Filipe was there to make suggestion and answer our concerns. In addition, the people hired to complete the project all did there job well.
